He new update (14 March) makes the already problematic app completely unusable. After the update SingaporeMaps asks to allow notifications, then crashes every time it’s launched thereafter.
Guess that is about par for street directory’s course.
Bottom line: don’t even waste your time with this steaming pile of 💩
with the latest update, the ad at the start cannot even be dismissed after it's played to the end. so SingaporeMaps is now effectively unusable. that's what corporate greed looks like. junk.
Used to not have pop up ads, now it appears every time you start up SingaporeMaps .
There are intrusive ads and whenever I start SingaporeMaps , it hangs with the message 'updating maps'. Really? If I can't use SingaporeMaps when I want then what's the point of the update. If you want to make this a better app-
1. Provide a way to remove the ads
2. Update of map should be user initiated and not when app is starting up.
This has been my favorite app for navigating Singapore & the one I recommend to all newcomers. Until now. What happened to the bus info?? This was one of the most useful aspects of SingaporeMaps ., and now it's not there anymore, only "NA" for bus times. Will you be able to restore this? It is still good for info on buildings, but much less so on the whole.
The map GPS works great, even when walking. The bus numbers are accurate. The only downside is the bus arrival time, sometimes it's off by minutes but in some cases by half hour. Overall it's an ok App.
Last two versions crash on iPhone 6.
Is there plans for a premium version with no ads?
The ads are intrusive and I'd gladly pay a few bucks for an ad free experience.
only 3 stars because you always need an online connection to use it!
Shows drop pin for searched location but map is otherwise blank. Sometimes shows bus stop icons but again no map. When map does appear it does not fully load and the section/s that do load never cover the area of the drop pin. If this loading issue is resolved I would certainly use SingaporeMaps frequently.
Have always been my favourite map app of Singapore due to the details it gives, but the latest two updates are terrible, causing SingaporeMaps to crash very frequently! The alignment of the suggested routes on the roads are now off-axis too. Please fix it!!

For some reason the map in SingaporeMaps is outdated compared to the one on their website. This is true even after uninstalling and reinstalling from SingaporeMaps Store. Would have gotten more stars if this is fixed.
Update: app is finally updated with sharper image and up-to-date
SingaporeMaps just made travelling on public transport to unfamiliar places so much easier. Furthermore I love learning a city's geography from it!
If you are planning to SG, you need to download SingaporeMaps! Maybe the GPS doesn't work well if you are in underground. But it's really helpful in street. Download offfline maps for better navigation. 5 stars!
After trying several map apps I came across this one and it blows all the others out of the water. It's up to date, easy to use, and has very helpful info and tools. Terrific!
Been using the website to get around way before google maps & gps. Details have always been accurate. Thanks for making this a free app! Now if only you can keep spam & useless posts out of your Tips section.
Undoubtedly the best local maps for Singapore. The level of details is way higher than Google Maps, with business info & reviews all arranged in easily accessible manner.
For me, one of the great features is the "MRT exits" indicators. It is super useful when going to unfamiliar station which has many exits located far apart (such as Clarke Quay or Dhoby Ghaut).
I have used quite a few travel apps in Asia and this is by far the best one! Not only did it give you detailed information of how to get around Singapore, but it had bus arrivals down to the minute they were arriving! I highly highly highly recommend it for any one going to Singapore! I hope there are more like this for more countries in Asia, although I know Singapore is more developed than others.
Great app if you're making a transition to use the more economical public transport system. This is Commander Shepard's favorite app on the citadel.
