Pointless

Better option is to just connect to your web help desk with a browser, then switch to standard view. iOS app needs a rebuild or deletion from app store.

Biggest Piece of Crap On App Store

This hasn’t been updated in forever.

Won’t send emails and won’t function properly.

I just resort to visiting WHD on my phone through Chrpme and view it through desktop mode.

Limited

The ui is extremely out of date. None of the search boxes seam to work as expected. There is no way to do inventory, this would be an awesome way to go through and do it.

Updates make things better right???

This update seems worse than before. Way to move backwards SW.

Where is the IOS 11 version

This had been giving warnings for a year. How about a fix or new app

Horrible

I’d be embarrassed if my company put WebHelpDesk out.

Practically unusable

Needs a complete redesign. The UX is awful.

Horrible

When I go back to the home screen to look at my list of tickets, after working on one, I am brought back to a blank page. I have to leave WebHelpDesk , close it completely, reopen WebHelpDesk and then look at my list again...after every ticket.
It's related to the mobile browser interface, since that is what it is using. I get the same issue whether on WebHelpDesk or on a mobile browser. On my iPhone or on my work Droid, I get the same problem of having to log out/quit and log back in.
Fix the mobile browser issue and then maybe WebHelpDesk will work better. In the meantime, WebHelpDesk is useless.
Also, I have issues with it not updating tickets after I comment and resolve them.

Ok, for what it does

For viewing tickets WebHelpDesk is OK, not great but OK. The real issue is that tickets are the only thing is manages. What I most often want to use WebHelpDesk for is something it can't do, manage assets. It would be great if I could walk around with my phone when I am checking or updating the assets in our offices. Currently I have to either write everything down or lug my computer around with me to update the asset system. I don't have much need to update tickets from WebHelpDesk since I can do that via email remotely but as it stands I never use WebHelpDesk because it is of no use to me.

If you need a way to update tickets remotely and you are not using the email alerts this will probably work for you, otherwise it is a waste.

Functional

I use Web Help Desk everyday and have over 50 other companies who access the help desk for managed services. I really love the software and the integration with other Solarwinds products.

That being said, WebHelpDesk is functional but is nothing like the experience with the other Solarwinds products. It does work, but it's slow, usually has some error when accessing tickets, and looks like it was thrown together. I recommend people use it but with the understanding that there is no other app I can recommend but going through the web interface.

I give it 2 stars for now. If there is an update in the near future (the last update was 2 years ago) then I would be happy to revise my review.

Perfect for on-the-go

I use it every day and the push notifications are great for keeping you in line with SLA's. For the iPad, I have WebHelpDesk installed for push notifications but I prefer the standard web interface on the iPad screen for actually using the program since that gives me the full flexibility of WHD, including reports and queries. Not sure there is a need for an iPad interface when the standard web interface is already so comprehensive and displays well on the larger iPad screen.

Doesn’t Work

I have never been able to get WebHelpDesk to work properly. I enter my credentials on the configuration page, then the screen briefly flips to a different log-in screen, then back to the configuration page.

It seems the credentials are being accepted because on the lock screen I do receive notifications. I am however unable to view them from within WebHelpDesk .

Total fail.

Needs On-going Updates

WebHelpDesk was a good first start for an iOS application, but developer does not seem to have had any attention to features since initial release.

As others have noted WebHelpDesk is still lacking the ability to create tickets, properly update and close tickets, &etc. This needs equivalent features to the web application, until then it is of little to no usefulness.

If SolarWinds is serious about this product, they need to get serious about mobile support.

I like it but its Glitchy

When it works it works. When it doesnt you have to wait like 5 mins. On a Iphone 3GS 4.2.1OS When I change between screens alot the option bars disappear and all you get is the gray back round. If you put phone down for 5 mins and come back it will go back to normal. Restarting the phone or leaving WebHelpDesk and going back in wont fixed. U just have to wait for it.

App works great

Most of the time it crashes; others shows that it works.

WebHelpDesk let you input all of the credentials for the Custom config. It authenticates then flips to the login screen then immediately turns back to the settings for credentials; I am unable to access the mobile version of WHD on my iPhone 4.

-- App works like a charm now.

Crashes constantly

I love the convenience of WebHelpDesk but it is not at all reliable. Once I view one ticket and then go to another app the next time I open it it just shows a white screen. I have to force close WebHelpDesk and then restart it to get it to work again. I really hope an update is coming to fix this and also add support for the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus screen resolutions.

Needs Update

WebHelpDesk is one of my most frequently used as an IT Manager. The major drawback is that it leaves me not able to do all of my work on it as it does not save the notes I input to the system. Ascetics needs a total revamp, but that does not come as a must with it being for work. Step it up, WebHelpDesk hasn't changed since I was on an iPhone 4...

Needs an iPad version

All of our technicians have iPads for 'in the field' work. There really needs to be an iPad app.

Until there is, my rating is one star. We'll just have to use the web interface until there's a decent iPad app.

By

I agree this app needs a revamp

Would like to see the layout be more inline with the web app layout.

-Need a recent ticket tab

Maybe a feature where we can change the look and layout of our web app from our web admin page?

By

Better but still not enough

It has gotten more stable but still just not enough functionality. The inability to create new tickets the single most thing that keeps this from being a complete app.
