Shift Work Calendar Planner Reviews

This is a customizable shift calendar. One gripe is that it’s not capable of synching specific events to my iCalendar and will just sync “off”, “on” or whatever label I have for a day, which is not something I want and would strongly recommend against using the sync feature because of this. I also don’t like the presentation of the calendar. I wish it were more colorful. Instead, the coloring is only on the text. Otherwise, this is a great calendar that I will be using from now on.

I work rotating shifts and this is the perfect tool for me to input shifts, edit them, make notes, and make sure I'm at work when I'm supposed to be. Does exactly what it should. Only suggestion is I would like the ability to add notes and shifts at the same time. Also, if I scroll ahead to the next month and then change input modes to add a shift or note, it takes me back to the current day. Minor things that could be streamlined in my opinion.

As a person who is very list oriented I’m loving ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner so far. I’ve tried other schedule tracking apps and was left disappointed. ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner is the easiest way for me to keep track of my shifts and I love that I can add notes to the dates to easily find when I worked overtime. The color coding is a HUGE help to easily note different shifts (other apps I tried didn’t offer this) and I like that you can create your own index for quirky holiday shifts or important meetings.

I’m not one to usually pay for an app, but I just might look into their advanced plans. I will defiantly recommend ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner to colleagues and friends.

Very good calendar. I love the fact that you can enter notes on each day. I wish it has the recurring features. Since my schedule is the same every six weeks, it will be nice to just put in 6 weeks calendar schedule and make it recurrent instead of inputting it every time, even if it is a paid feature.

I work rotating shift work and my schedule is all over the place, this keeps track of my days and who I’m working with very well by using different icons on the calendar. Simplicity is exceptional, and although I have no use for the other features, this does have a nice set of options if you want to max out ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner . Very good app and using it for long time Now.

I really like ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner. It allows you to input information on days super fast with one push of a button. Apple and google calendars was just too difficult to use and only displayed a dot or a color band with no information on the month view. ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner allows you to use the sun and moon for day and night shift. I am only using the free version and it works excellent!

Im a Registered Nurse that works varied days. ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner helps me keep my work schedule straight as well as other appointments,birthdays etc.. Very simple to use and the convenience of opening it and looking at my whole week or months schedule in seconds is a life saver! Would recommend for anyone who needs to stay organized.

I love ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner! Been using it for 3 years now and I look at it daily instead of my calendar on my iPhone. I love how I can enter emojis and be able to see my schedule at a glance. For example, a birthday cake will remind me that I have a party to attend that day. I also like how I can enter different work shifts and customize the colors. Recommend it to all, whether you use it as a work or personal calendar!

Have been using Shift Work Calendar for years for all my needs; work, appointments, concerts/events, etc. Love that on the month at a glance view, I can add emojis correlating with what the entry is for (example: a cat to symbolize a vet appointment), without having to click on a day to read the entry (i.e. Fluffy to Dr Smith at 9:30am).
Well worth the download :)

Takes a little time to set up with a complicated schedule but well worth it. It would be great to have capability for multiple entries on the same day, and it doesn’t go over to my iPad. I switched to another that did but came back. Thus app is just so easy to read and see what I need to. Has saved me $thousands in lost time at work.

I’ve been using ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner for a LONG time now. I love it. It’s perfect for those of us who do shift-work and work rotating days/nights. I use the emoji symbols to help myself remember things like dr’s appts and special events, birthdays, etc. there’s a place to make notes, and you can add all sorts of different “shifts” in there. I like to add in vacation, PTO, keep track of sick days used, and when I’ve requested off for. It’s great. I love it.

I work a 28 day swing shift cycle which puts me on a new shift every seven days. When making appts or getting invited to thing I would have to pull out the yearly paper schedule or count a normal calendar. Someone I work with showed me this and it’s a lifesaver! I just had to manually enter a full schedule days off and all and then choose how long out I wanted it calculated. Boom! Now I just have to open ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner and know what I’m working months from now. If you have a repetitive crazy schedule ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner can’t be beat!

Update: I’ve been using ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner for almost 13 years now. I love that you can add emojis. For medical appointments I use 🏥. For haircuts, 💇🏻‍♀️. For vacations 🌴☀️🏖️. ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner is way easier for me to see & understand visually than apple or Google calendars!

I do shift work and I have used ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner for almost 8 years! I love that I can add multiple shift types and use emojis to signify other appointments or activities.

I’ve been using ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner for over 4 years now and it makes knowing my work schedule so simple. I just plug in my days and if I take vacation or am sick it’s all accounted for in one quick place. It also has a note section on each day like if you stayed for overtime or were late, training, etc. This is definitely my top 5 most useful apps on my phone

I work a 4 day on 4 day off 12 hour schedule and rotate from days to nights every 4 shifts. ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner allows me to set up my schedule, plus keep track of overtime days. The only thing I would like to see added to ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner would be a way to set up say the first 2 months schedule and then it automatically set up the rest of the year. Other than that ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner is great.

Great app with great flexibility! I can pull it up and get to where I want with a couple swipes so I can make that dentist appointment a year in advance so I get the time I want! 😁I work crazy 12 hour swing shifts and this makes it easy for me. Being able to input what I’m working, days I’m off and overtime worked to match up with my paycheck. If there was a 1000% rating, this is ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner that would get it!!!

I’m an RN, 12-hour variable shifts. Apple’s calendar isn’t compatible with entering shifts. Google calendar is ok, but only the desktop version. So ShiftWorkCal does the job. It could be prettier or fancier, and I tried coordinating it with the Apple calendar, which didn’t work so well. But it’s a good, free app. The commercials aren’t intrusive, I see them rarely and I use ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner everyday (I use it as my primary calendar & rarely open Apple’s calendar anymore - just enter 1x appointments as notes).

Overall, this is a fabulous app! I am a nurse and work a day/night shift rotation, which makes my Monday through Friday work week impossible to predict. ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner makes it easy to keep up. The only thing I wish ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner had is numbered weeks. I consistently work every third weekend, so it would be nice to be able to easily glance months ahead, and know based on the week number which weekends I’ll be working. Thanks!

ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner has been great since iv went on shift work. It’s easy to use and you can see everything coming up in just seconds. You can write in plans and flag them so that you can see them. Only thing I would ask more of is that if I could place a rolling shift schedule for the upcoming years instead of having to manually enter it that would be nice. Also if you could set an alarm for upcoming flagged dates for your preferred time in advance that would be nice. Overall it’s simple and easy to use.

I work a 4 on 4 off schedule so ShiftWorkCalendarPlanner helps me to plan ahead & keep track of the days I need to schedule off! My teenager also uses this to schedule her work around my days off so we can still have family time now that they’re also working. Couldn’t ask for better!
