I had no issues upgrading to this version. Yes, all former downloads are gone but I was so surprised how much faster the download works. I am here in China and usually it took me hours to download one issue. This morning it took me not even 15min to get it.
I like the whole new layout and everything. It's really a huge improvement.

One of the worst probably even the worst app I use. Downloads almost never succeed, slow even on the fastest hardware. Bugs never gets fixed,

I really looked forward to this new version, but after the update, all my downloaded editions were gone. Why would an app update also delete all the downloaded magazines? Aren't they in a separate directory? With the old version it took forever just to download 1 issue.
After going to settings and checking my subscription info, which was still present, I clicked on confirm subscription. It asked me for my apple ID twice?? Then it crashed. Have not been able to start ctMagazin since, even after reboots and the 10 sec hard reset.
App useless right now and I was 3 issues behind, on the road for the next few days and nothing to read. Very disappointing.
Please fix this soon!!! Miss my CT's

After installing ctMagazin it crashes every single time when started. With over 10 purchased issues it is frustrating not to have any access to the content that I have paid for. Reinstalling ctMagazin does not bring any relief and e-mails to the support team remain unanswered. For a computer magazine that is often very critical with the products and service provided by other companies in the IT business this is very disappointing. I give ctMagazin a one because I simply can’t get it to work.

First of all - if you are a new user ctMagazin works.

It is really nicely done and great to use.

If you updated from the older version you will have to delete it from all devices and re-install ctMagazin , otherwise it will crash.
Your purchases seem to be lost as well, but it id not matter to me as a Plus subscriber.
I seem to remember that this was mentioned in the description of the old version.
It could have been noted in this one as well....

Other than the issues described - this deserves a much better rating!

The new update crashes all the time on an iPad Air with iOS 8.1. Please check. Don't know about previous versions of iOS.

I never was happy with ctMagazin as it has display bugs and reacts slowly and awkwardly. Now I wanted to see how it looks with the higher resolution on my new iPad. Alas, ctMagazin doesn't make it any further than the start screen. It gets stuck showing a gray and empty background. Very disappointing, c't.

It's great ctMagazin is now compatible with iPhone. Adaption to iPhone screen is been done very well. However app crashes every time I switch to app when it's in background.

App ist immer noch instabil und ohne Newsstand Integration, aber wenigstens nutzbar. Größtes Ärgernis: im Querformat hindert ein schwarzer Balken (Darstellungsfehler) auf der Rechten Seite massiv die Sicht. Somit ist nur das Hochformat halbwegs nutzbar.

While 1.0.5 is working just cool and also lets US AppStore customers purchase issues of c't magazine, 1.0.7 (after repeated) installs crashes and no interaction is possible - tested on iPad 2.

Browsing from page to page should not take 15 seconds. Really like the magazine and I am a subscriber for 20 years. But THIS is not how to bring it to the iPad. It's, in fact, quite pathetic.

Peinlich diese App - vor allem von Euch!

Ich habe kürzlich von einer älteren auf die neue Version ge-updated und bin total schockiert. Nicht nur, daß das Update alle Daten erneut von Heises Server geladen hat (= 2 Stunden), der Download des neuesten Heftes dauerte ewig, die PDF Ansicht zeigt im Portrait-Modus nicht die volle Seite an, man kann auch nicht herauszoomen um dies zu erreichen. Der Landscape-Modus zeigt nur einen Ausschnitt der Seite an, die so nützliche Doppelseiten-Ansicht scheint es nicht mehr zu geben — dieses Update war ein voller Reinfall. Ich überlege mein Abo auf ein PDF Abo umzustellen und in Zukunft c’t dann auf Goodreader zu lesen

ctMagazin does work on the new iPad, but is incredibly slow. It seems ctMagazin is stuck on the initial grey screen, but does go forward after a while. Everything else does take quite a bit more time on the new iPad as well when compared to the iPad 2.

The biggest issue I have that I cannot de-register my subscription on the iPad myself. Instead I have to start ctMagazin on the new iPad, email customer service with the transfer code, wait until they reset the account and then start it again. It would be much better if I could just de-register it on the old device the way Adobe does it with their codes.

1 star for changing the minimum requirement to iOS 5 when not really necessary.

Ich lies c’t gerne in der U-Bahn, und bin froh dass dieser App so gut offline funktioniert.
