Speedtest — all for the low low cost of nothing, is the reason I could say for certain, while being armed with objective and reliable data, that my ISP, Centurylink in the Phoenix, Arizona market specifically, is so woefully underperforming on “high speed” for their overcharged customers that it should be criminal. For all I know if enough people raised hell about their service, it might come to light that what they’re doing is criminal. I’m in a very unfortunate market of AZ east of Phoenix where cable modem service is NOT available for some confounding, maddening reason. But for 6 months plus now I’ve been testing my ISP’s performance and they’re going to hear from me at least. I’ve literally been at an average download speed of less than 6-7 mbps, with uploads in the 2’s at best! That’s RIDICULOUS! Nobody in the country is suffering these speeds unless they’re still somehow on dialup. This must get fixed ASAP! Thanks Speedtest!

First, I have never written a review on an app or even thought an app deserved a review. However, I have literally relied on SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet for years to diagnose connectivity issues early on, and I have tried a few others along the way.
With the latest face lift I will say that SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet looks better than it ever has. But more importantly, it just does what it says it does. Simply test your connection speed, whether 3g, 4g, now 5g, and as always WiFi. Open SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet and test speed. Look back at all previous speed tests you’ve taken.
You can also export your test history if needed.
Because SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet is so perfect, after 4 years using it, I very recently upgraded to the advertisement free version to show my support. Great app. Transparent and honest app makers. And an actual ad free, ad free version available on all my iOS devices.
Just wish I could extend the ad free version across all my other devices as well somehow.
Other than that, thanks guys for an amazing app. I will continue to use your service as long as it is available to me.
Highly recommend SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet to anyone in the market for a simple speed test app. Download it ASAP!

I have another program called speed test which I measure this against. Both programs almost have the exact same numbers for download speed, but my current plan for my Internet provider limits my upload speed to one meg. Speed test consistently measures my upload speed at one meg, but this one has it in the 6-8 Mbps range. I think somehow it starts off with massively inflated numbers like 40 to 50 megs a second and then works its way down but the test ends before It can get an accurate reflection of the speed. Maybe if the test ran for 15 more seconds or something like that you could get an accurate number I bet. I do not have a vested interest in either program, just saying what the numbers are compared to what my internet provider says they should be. Others features are nice though.

This keeps the carriers on there toes or at least proves your getting what you paid a pretty penny for. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen my service not providing full speed. Today it's slightly more. So nice to see! Have a great life 🤠

P.S. Just switch providers and went w/ Century Link gigabit internet @ $65 per month for life it is the fastest internet I’ve ever used by far... AMAZING 😉 Thanks SpeedSmart for quick easy tests during trouble shooting.

It’s able to show you the speed of a mobile hotspot but it doesn’t record it in the history if it’s your own hotspot. This makes it challenging if you’re wanting to check the latency of different locations if you are doing live shows on the road. I was able to connect to someone else’s hotspot and run a speed test, and it recorded it in the history, but, when I tried to use my own personal hotspot off of my iPhone, it does not record the history.

Other than that, this is probably the best speed test app, offers and most useful information. I just wish that he would record my personal hotspot information with in SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet .

SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet is great and very helpful but there’s a issue that’s bugged me for a while. I’ve noticed that certain servers that don’t fully utilize your actual download and upload speed. For example the server in buffalo ny, no matter your internet plan it won’t go higher than 60-70mbps. But on other servers they will. Idk if it’s just certain servers that don’t allow high speed testing but maybe you guys should look into it. 10/10 app. Have been using it for years 👍🏼

The history feature makes this my favorite speed testing tool. Fast and reliable. It is not slowed down by a slow connection like some of the others out there. This one does its job quickly no matter what your ISP speed issues are. Nothing worse than having to pull your hair out when the slow speed your trying to test is not affecting SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet ’s performance.

Been using SpeedSmart for a couple of years and continues to be my primary app when I want to gauge WiFi functionality. SpeedSmart is my primary tool when working through issues with my ISP or WiFi router vendor support.

SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet launches very quickly and I can immediately determine if my WiFi is connecting to the internet before I even run the utility. The interface makes it easy to see status as it runs and presents real-time findings.

Result history can be retained with the ability to add a note for each test. This is especially useful to me as I measure WiFi speed at various points in the house to determine slow spots.

SpeedSmart is the best free WiFi year app out there. So much so that I had no issue at all paying for ad-free.

I was using speed test by Ookla and my numbers were coming in really low so low I had to call my provider I downloaded SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet and the numbers that my provider said that I was getting from their end was what I was getting with SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet which tells me SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet is a lot more accurate very satisfied with SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet this is the app to use if you want to be on point !

Speed test does a more than respectable job in testing internet speeds on your devices. Was a little apprehensive at first being same company that provides internet service for my home is the same company who is responsible for speed test site.
All that said the efficiency of speed test is as good or better than other services I have tried. Would definitely recommend them for your testing speeds, download and upload.

I rarely take the time to write reviews. There are plenty of other people who like to do this.
This is my third app testing internet speed.
I am not that concerned if I am getting 118 or 78 but it helps me to know when things are running slow that I have lost connection by SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet not finding a server or if it’s my equipment at home.
It easy to use and informative.

This is the best app for checking internet speed it’s fast and easy to use more features than all the rest I wish I could rate SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet with 10 stars to the developer excellent keep up the good job plus SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet is the most useful tool to have I think once more people install SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet they say wish I had SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet a long time ago!

I had a question about the server distances displayed in the server list not matching what I knew to be correct. I contacted developer via the support link in SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet and he replied back in less than one minute..as it turned out the problem was on my end and setting on my phone but nonetheless great response by the developer. I did purchase SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet and it is a really well thought out and useful tool.

SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet is my go to place for measuring my internet speed. It is very easy to use (even a caveman can do it 😉), and I believe it to be very reliable. You can easily change servers to more far away places to get more accurate speeds, as it is in most cases highly unlikely that the server you use is within 100 miles of your home. I would recommend SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet to friends and family.

I use SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet quite frequently as the internet where I live can have a kind of its own when it comes to speed. Instead of wondering what’s going on, I just run this quick, reset what I need to, and get back to what I’m working on. Always a consistently great application. Thank you for making this one!

Even when Verizon makes me use there app service to test with, SpeedSmart stands up to their numbers. And I would trust SpeedSmart numbers over a company that constantly throttles our bandwidth. Verizon even lets India control all their copper lines. Can’t wait to have another source for our home internet service. Off to call India again for static on line and speeds less than 0.8.

I’ve been using SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet for awhile. Usually works flawlessly but this week it’s started to not work on my iPhone X.
The ping goes into the 800 ms range and then just stops before it would normally switch to measuring the download speed.
I use another app just like it that is working fine. Looking forward to a fix :)

I’ve been using SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet to document my bandwidth issues with Sprint. For over 4 months they say they will “fix” the service issues I’ve been having. But no improvement so far. I exported the testing log I’ve been keeping for the last couple of months and printed the results and hand delivered to Sprint showing the unacceptable bandwidth. The info in the report including GPS coordinates removes any subjectivity on their part. Great App! Great tool!

It’s been my go to app for testing internet speed on all my devices. It has been solid and reliable for years! Since the recent iOS update SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet stopped working completely. Developers - can you please provide support and/or an update to SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet that fixes the issue? Thank you!

SpeedSmart is a far more accurate app as compared to other Speedtest app’s. In the recent months I’ve seen Speedtest by Okla gives inaccurate results.
I happened to try SpeedSmart and found that it shows the correct result and I’ve verified this multiple times.
Great App with a straight forward and simple design.
Highly recommended over the others!

Quick, easy, and accurate, SpeedSmart definitely has the fastest start time of any WiFi or LTE speed test and is just as accurate as the other big players like Speedtest by Ookla, Speedcheck, etc. Definitely recommend this for if you need to test your internet fast and on-the-go and still want to get accurate results.

Have use SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet for years and it’s been great and simple. Updated it recently, which I really knew I shouldn’t have because if somethings broke don’t fix it I usually don’t update things because they just break things and don’t have my job side. Regardless I did and now it doesn’t work anymore. Tried deleting SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet and reinstalling it same thing. It just doesn’t record the speeds, it records a ping and then it does nothing

I have had several applications over the years plus many companies providing Internet access. They make wild claims about their up and down speeds. This application proves them either right or are blowing smoke. This application have no irons in the fire and only provides numbers that are much closer to reality that what salespeople say.

I use SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet very often. It confirms when our service is down. Our Router looks ok, but things slow or stop. I check and sure enough service is gone. We can switch over to cell and keep going until they fix the issue. It’s a very common thing around here.

This is a good app, or use it a lot. Works well. I do not mind the ads they are not intrusive and they help the developer. I would however like to see a Wi-Fi scanner added. Specifically the ability to see how strong the signal is. Possibly even a cellular analyzer to see how strong my cellular connection is.

I'm only a home owner but I live in the country and use it daily to test the tower speed that I'm connected too. I've been able to make my little ISP aware of interruptions and slower than usual speeds that they aren't able to detect. It's simple to use and is very consistent. Thanks for creating it 👍🏻

Bad app. Paid for the upgrade but the server in denver is frequently offline adding latency to tests. If this were more reliable ... 5 stars

I edited this because I went with comcast 1 gig. SpeedTestSpeedSmartInternet cant keep up with my ac3200. Go with ookla guys. I know the rankings are high here but they cant be for people who actually understand their network.

Developer responds .. says a bunch of stuff, i should have been more specific about. I re-download app. Still cant keep up , but ookla can on my SAME EXACT PHONE. Again ... bad app. Ookla works great. Hey developers. Why dont you give ME a call and Ill show you how ookla works and yours doesnt. It may not be a full gig but ya max out at 250, im well aware of what my phone can do and not. Stop responding. You have my money AND my review.
