Paid for this years ago now lost the features due to subscription. Deleted it after 6 years. the company is clearly unethical and there are much cheaper options out there. Dont get LabGear

App is now a worthless waste of device memory. Original app that I PURCHASED was pretty useful. Authors recently put the useful information that I paid for behind a subscription. I would not have purchased LabGear if it had required a subscription. Smells a bit like bait and switch or some other form of shenanigans. I certainly did not agree to this change . Did I mention that I paid for LabGear? I thought the apple App Store would keep this sort of riff-raff under control.

App once had lab descriptions available for viewing. These have since been placed behind a subscription-based paywall (despite the fact that I originally paid for LabGear when I first installed it). This sort of conduct by developers should be unacceptable.

That said, the overall progression of apps on LabGear Store to subscription models over the years also serves as an indictment of the anti-developer and anti-consumer business practices by Apple as they extract exorbitant fees from app sales.

I bought LabGear when I was in NP school and it was useful tool because it came with everything included. Apparently there’s been a recent upgrade and now I’m being a charged additional money for a subscription service that already paid for. I’m sick of these apps trying to nickel and dime people. This is completely unethical.

I paid years ago for full access to all features in LabGear including details about every lab test. Suddenly only normal values are shown but no explanations or detail details are available. When I tap on the details for a test, it’s asking for a subscription. This is bait and switch and is in violation of Apple’s terms of service. Pleased report the developer as I intend to.

So I paid for LabGear. It worked pretty well overall and I used it on occasion. Go to get on today and now LabGear that I paid $30 for now has a subscription system and all of the data that I paid for is now hidden. I would say bait and switch but that is when it’s free then they make you pay. I’VE ALREADY PAID FOR LabGear ! Very disappointed in this company.

Paid user, all content previously available offline for easy reference but now hidden behind predatory paywall subscription without any prior notice or option for grandfathering as an early supporter. Can recommend LabGear, cannot recommend doing business with this company.

Same as everyone else has said. I originally paid for an app that had all the information I needed such as descriptions of lab tests and indications of abnormal results. Now they are trying to charge me $3 a month for the same information for which I already paid!!

This is a good lab reference for busy medical professionals. Need toxicology section for those working with drug dependency clients.

Includes a great variety of lab values.

I do wish it included mean platelet volume as well as more rare labs

I was surprised at the the number and detail put into LabGear.

It's perfect from start to finish. Very inclusive, discusses all the need-to-knows, very intelligently. Smooth execution and navigation. It's nice and fun to look at, nice design. First class app! My only aside is that some of the explanation lists for out of range values should be reviewed. I think I found one or two that were not as complete as others or didn't include an explanation of high/low values. Sorry, don't remember which test it was for. Good work verbal, thanks!

Worked well for me so far. Haven't had any issues. Very handy!

Great site! Not only can you find all the labs and their ranges but the hi/low feature helps with diagnostics as well. And no "@&))@ pop up adds! Thank you.

I don't know what to say.. Very very helpful and useful and beautiful and assume!!! I am hoping that they keep updating if there is more information..

LabGear was incredibly helpful to me when I went through PA school - especially during my internal med rotation. I love that it provides clear, concise information about each lab test, and gives ddxs based on the results. This is one app that I will never delete!

I consult Acute Care, SNF & ICF, LabGear is in my iPad for quick reference. It has been reliable & up to date source of information which gives me confidence to write consult. 👍🏼👏🏼😊
