this app was recommended to me by multiple colleagues. I am a new PA and have found VisualDx to be very helpful. Many pictures, descriptions of conditions, differentials, best tests, tx options. The important things you need to know are there. Also, when looking up conditions, you are accumulating CME for every search. Love VisualDx . Wish they had a better setup for their quizzes for dermatology, as they just have a photo, and is sometimes hard to see what body area you are even looking at. 5/5

this app is my favorite app! I have been using it for >5 years and it’s so helpful to be able to pull up photos of a newly diagnosed condition to share with the patient. The patient handouts, although not available for every disease, are great and are written in both Spanish and English. 100% recommend.

As a dermatologist, I use this app daily. I share images with my patients that help them understand and connect with their various diseases. Images are superb.

Honestly, VisualDx has helped me with all my questions and problems dealing with my skin health. It’s not easy to find all the answers I need in one spot so I am happy that this was available! No more google searches from untrustworthy sources anymore.

I used VisualDx daily in my derm residency. It was incredibly helpful to put in a morphology and build a differential diagnosis in my head and then see what else I should be thinking about or consider based on VisualDx findings. There are tons of Kodachromes, clinical pearls, treatment guidelines, and even dermpath images at the tip of your fingers. I recommend this app to everyone. I was lucky enough to have my residency buy the subscription, check with your program and if they don’t have it - con them into it lol

Recent graduate from residency. Used this app daily for study and reference. Excellent search features and useful quiz function in the mobile app. Would suggest having the quiz function on the desktop version as well. Highly recommended.

I have used VisualDx for years since working in Dermatology. I love the clinical photos and the differential diagnoses available. I find the treatment options are up to date and I also appreciate the patient handouts. Definitely get this!

I have been using VisualDx ever since medical school - it has helped me tremendously during dermatology residency and now as a practicing attending. It is especially helpful having so many images of skin of color, which are not always represented as thoroughly in the standard dermatology textbooks.

I love having visual dx for so many reasons. I love having it in clinic to reference for my own knowledge / patient care. I love the patient handouts that you can print. I also loved using it as I was studying for my board exam- I would look at the photos of various diseases. I think it helped tons. Love it so much!

VisualDx has been tremendously helpful. Not only can it help you practice building a differential, but it provides you with the essential information in an efficient manner for each disease, so you can always get a quick overview of most diseases.

I have been using this app app for about 3 years and I have to say it is the best purchase I have spent. I use VisualDx for patient education as well as for my own education. It is very user friendly and the information is informative but not overwhelming. I use it everyday and I am very happy with VisualDx .

I’m a third year dermatology resident and this app has been incredibly helpful during my training. VisualDx is easy to use. There is a list of differential diagnoses for each condition which can help broaden your thought process. I also really like the descriptions of the different entities and the treatment section is up to date.

As a recently graduated dermatology resident, VisualDx has been a key component of my education. Whether it’s quick review in between patients in clinic or studying diseases outside of clinic, VisualDx is always useful. I would go as far as to say VisualDx is a must-have tool in the armamentarium if any dermatology resident, dermatologist, or other physician regularly encountering skin disease. You will not be dissappinted.

I use VisualDx everyday in clinic. The variety of photos, especially in skin of color are extremely helpful. I also appreciate the concise layout. You don’t have to scroll down pages of info to find what you are looking for. I recommend this to any provider if they have questions about dermatological conditions.

I use VisualDx and desktop version of this app almost everyday. I use it at work. I use it to send information to family and friends about rashes they have. I love all the pictures and patient hand outs. I love that you can email patients information with telehealth visits. I love that you can get CME Credits (recently found this out!) I couldn’t live without it at this point.

I use VisualDx each day I work during my residency program and it will clearly be my go-to clinical app after graduating from the program. The images are very helpful when discussing diagnoses with patients and the differential section is possibly the most valuable. Management pearls can be used to supplement other resources and the treatment options seem to be updated regularly.

I have been using this app since my second year of medical school. VisualDx has a wide range of use for medical training and education. High quality, high yield photos of a wide range of conditions as well as pictograms for systemic conditions allow for effective clinical cross reference. Concise, high yield information in a well organized template allows for quick reference. Over time I have significantly decreased the number of medical apps I use; however, this app is a tool I still use daily.

I am a PA who works in derm and this has been a life saver. This is amazing because it can help you with differentials and the pages are straight to the point with everything you would need to know. I like this a lot better than other resources. It helps build CME very fast as well.
I love that they include pics and differentials for skin of color as well. Overall love VisualDx and always have it open just in case at work.

VisualDx is the holy grail for derm residents and for general medicine. I use it multiple times a day in my clinic and on consults. It has the peer reviewed literature, excellent photos, and even treatment plans with doses. It’s your one stop shop for all things dermatology. Even the “build a diagnosis” part is helpful for my differential. It’s not only helpful for diagnosis on the spot, but also for teaching about conditions.

I really appreciate the incorporation of Skin of Color images and text. They did a fabulous job with this.

VisualDx is the best I have found in terms of image recognition. It’s my resource of choice for learning about dermatological conditions and includes a fantastic variety of clinical images for each, including rare diseases that are difficult to find information and images of. It is quickly becoming essential in academic and clinical environments.
