The info was not that up to date. So I cancel my subscription but I already paid for three months. Since I paid for three months and canceled going forward I have not been able to get in to look up any info. To get the report I have to hit continue which will automatically charge me a monthly fee that they say I can cancel to get the information that I’ve already paid for for three months. Ridiculous! They said they will credit me but have not yet. Must have automated response in emails. Do NOT trust BeenVerified.

I paid the subscription fee believing I was going to have full unlimited access to everything, INSTEAD it listed me as a “free user” and only gave me access to the information I can find out for free elsewhere. No access to criminal records or anything was given at all, it kept prompting me to upgrade and pay even more money for the same exact access I had already paid for but foot multiple months at a time. Very angry and have requested a refund. The only reason it got one star was because it wouldn’t let me write a review without a star rating. 😡🤬

I wrote this and received a reply that it might be apple billing me. Nope, AND they gave me an email to send my complaints to & if you read below? I’ve done that SEVERAL times and the emails went ignored and instead of tech support to help figure out why a search couldn’t be successfully completed (and being hung up on when I call or left on hold & not coming back), I eventually received an email deactivating my account. No one ever asked for that. So that’s the level of customer service you offer?
So WHY would I use that email again, for the 50th time, and expect ANY difference today? Don’t you want to keep your paying customers???

BeenVerified hasn’t worked for months! I’ve tried calling, emailing, etc., and just get hung up on OR they shout an email back saying they deactivated our account, instead of technical support. THEN they keep charging us for it even though they deactivated. It used to be a good app & desktop, NOW? TOTAL RIP OFFS AND ZERO CUSTOMER CARING OR SERVICE… they can’t get their program to work BUUUT it works just good enough to keep taking $$?!! Well isn’t that convenient

I use to think of this as my go to app, but not anymore. I just went to purchase a month subscription and it was over $22. Just a couple of months ago it was around $14. The quality of reports had honestly diminished over the past couple of years and if anyone is willing to take the time, the information they offer is free online it just takes a lot of work. I liked BeenVerified for its convenience but there is no way in h_ll I would pay for that big of a price increase for something the exact information I can get elsewhere. I hate writing this review because I really did like BeenVerified at one time. If they could prove they upgraded the overall quality and experience... it’s simply not worth that amount per month.

I wanted to test the accuracy of BeenVerified 's information before I used it for real so I ran checks on myself and a couple of people whose history I already knew. The accuracy of the information surprised me. My complaints would be the lack of detail, particularly regarding dispositions, and what appear to be duplicate returns of the same charge, one with information and a duplicate showing a "no record". Overall a nice app
****UPDATE. I just tried to perform a new search and although the correct person did come up BeenVerified wouldn’t let me access any information unless I paid for a subscription. I can understand not being able to get detailed information but nothing? I no longer want or need this.

My life has been ruined by this app by polluting my identity with some pothead kid in Canada. And then, I ask for it to be removed and you had the nerve to further pollute my identity and lie about data purge requests. This company needs to be investigated by the FTC. You are evil. May karma bite you people hard. Pure Evil.

MY RESPONSE 10/22 - you are a liar. When I sent you a request to remove you actually took that email address I used and ADDED it to my profile. You have polluted my online profile and life with bogus data. Your company needs to be sued and thrown in jail. Your company is downright ruthless and dishonest.

I got BeenVerified so I could do a criminal background check on some people and it doesn’t provide criminal background records anymore. I am able to access the fact that they have criminal records on the website but because of my screen reader I can’t click the little box that you have to check before you can except and continue to go on and see criminal records. The screen reader does not recognize wherever that box is that I have to click and it’s not allowing me to click it. This is really frustrating and I’m bummed as I paid for a membership so I can see these criminal records and now I can’t see them I hope you update BeenVerified soon to include criminal records once again as supposedly the Apple ones did contain them! Otherwise I feel ripped off!

I’ve been subscribed to this service for a year and a half, and used it religiously, just to find out (a few months ago) that the main feature I used it for, criminal records, is no longer even part of the results.... why would that feature be removed, yet I’m still paying the same monthly amount for my subscription?? Definitely disappointing compared to the 5 star rating I would have given, had that feature not been removed.... All of the other info that generates on the person search, is stuff that is easily found by doing a simple web search on a person... criminal record is more difficult to track down, but very much public record, which made the reporting on this app extremely helpful, until now.

Have found this to be a useful search tool despite the GIGO phenomenon. I found that the user rather than the search algorithm was largely responsible for successful searches; the program completely ignores some parameters and returns a list of 20-somethings when I specify an age of 80. Fuzzy is good but it also needs to be logical.

The last "upgrade" was two steps back. The previous interface was MUCH better! This change served no apparent purpose.

I’d like to say that I feel as though I wasted my money reactivating my membership. First, the information on people searches is far from UP TO DATE. Next, much of the information noted is NOT ACCURATE. Finally, if you desire additional information on a person, you have to update your membership which costs additional money. I DON’T think so!
I am not happy or satisfied with this program and only updated my membership in order to obtain information on two persons. The program did not have updated current information. I scored better with the accurate information that I have and therefore wasted my money expecting BEEN VERIFIED to provide me with information that I was earnestly seeking.

BeenVerified would probably be 5 stars but according to other reviews they’ve responded to, they removed criminal data from BeenVerified . I cannot fathom a logical reason for doing this. Criminal data and records is the primary reason I, along with many others, use this app for. For now, it gets 3 stars because it’s missing such a crucial section of information. If they bring that section back, this review will be amended. The layout is simple and easy to understand. I really enjoy using it if not for the missing criminal records.

I have been using BV for several years and it’s very quick, effective and informative for the price. The only problems I see is that the background check for previous arrests, convictions and infractions has been eliminated. Also info on phone numbers, addresses and social media accounts are sometimes inaccurate listing wrong people. The reverse phone search is superb.

Been verified is an awesome company… They provide every piece of information you possibly need at a very reasonable price I have excellent customer service I respond to every email and text… i’m never leaving them I recommend them to a lot of people… I just searched for the people but I prefer they get their ownMembership

This is a great app. I use it in so many ways. I have 3 daughters and every time they go on a date I background check the guy. (My girls would be horrified knowing that) but, you can never be too careful. I also like to use it to check who’s calling me. There are so many scams out there and this can bring up a name linked to a number. The deep web search is a great tool to check on your own info to see if it’s compromised. If you’re looking for someone, this is BeenVerified to use! You can find out who owns a certain property, social media sites, emails, relatives and associates, all with address and contact info. So far, almost all of the information I’ve found thru BeenVerified has been 100% accurate. I was able to find my friends son who was adopted, in one search. It really is a great app for anyone to use.

Been Verified is among the easiest of people search utilities out there. It’s fast, inexpensive and if you have the correct input information, it’s accurate and comprehensive. Of course there are other search tools out there, but Been Verified is the best bang for the buck when you need to find someone quickly just to contact them, or knee deep in investigative research.

this app is useful in obtaining information in professional research. 95% of the time, I receive beneficial data. The other 5%, I receive sufficient to conduct the remaining research and conclude the project within a 24-72 hour window. Before subscribing to this app this process varied widely. While other efforts may have been without financial cost, the substantial time saving is worth the subscription price for me.

I didn’t really believe that BeenVerified was dead on with all the other apps and background checkers I was thinking this is another app that wants my money when they give me the same info by browsing the web. But this apps is different they give more than enough info for your buck. Download you’ll see it isn’t like the others it’s more.

I originally took on BeenVerified for my business as a tool to find customers who I needed to contact for some reason. I might need to collect funds on a bad check or let them know a certain product was now available. I’ve now found I use it personally too! Looking up old friends or classmates etc. I love it! Great addition to my app library easy to use I recommend it 100%. It’s accurate and provides all the info I could possibly need.

Been verified it’s one of the best background check website I have had truth finder was really good with it criminal check and the court system checks they had on people along with their financial troubles. But then verified is definitely better when it comes to the phone number check the emails andAre the owner information also the assets that they come up with is a lot more detailed and I’ll look for these websites and rate them due to their phone number check in email checks in the information they have for the persons name. Great website you should definitely get it.

BeenVerified does what it says it does. I took the time and read all of the small fine print. It just means that if it’s showing you something, there’s a public record out there somewhere that has that information on it. Of course there’s errors because we aren’t using birthdates and Social Security numbers… It’s not legal to get financials unless they consent. BeenVerified does exactly what it says it does. And I’m a blind user… Works great with voice over and I gave it a five star rating because I’ve had some problems in the past and it really helps me feel more comfortable and know what the heck is going on and who I’m actually dealing with. Five star excellent excellent!

I did the 1 free cr on the IPhone app and ran it on myself just to see what kind of feedback you would come up with and how accurate it was, I am sad to say that most of the information you came up with is incorrect. For relatives you have friends of my family The only people on the list that I am related to are my grand parents and ex-wife not even my mom or dad. The address is an address from 10 years ago to house that was sold. And under aliases you have my dads name. Under criminal charges its all charges for someone with the same name but a different b-day. I'm glad I tried this out on myself and not someone I was concerned about, who knows what would of come up and how accurate it would of been. Even though in this day and age i think what your trying to provide with your product is a good idea, unless you can provide more accurate information its kind of pointless right now and I will not be using your service in the future. Used to be slightly useful even with the inaccurate reports that would be generated but still came up with some useful information. What made me rate this as "1 star" is the way the decided to start charging for using BeenVerified . When I first downloaded BeenVerified you got 1 free report a month and any additional reports you had to pay for which I thought was fair. But then Been Verified rolled out an app update that changed everything. You no longer get the free reports and it's strictly a paid app. The "free app" in BeenVerified Store is misleading because with out a subscription BeenVerified is useless and a waste of my iOS storage space. The developers got greedy with BeenVerified and forced pre-existing customers to update BeenVerified which took away the 1 free report perk which is why I will never be using BeenVerified again due to that treatment of app users that had been using BeenVerified for some time already especially when most of the reports they generated are accessible to the public through the freedom of information act.

BeenVerified is terrible. It is NOT FREE, it's over $70 to use. The information is totally inaccurate. As an employer, landlord, background checks are SERIOUS business. I noticed multiple duplicates of the same crime, inaccurate results of crimes, and completely off base information from my traditional $50ea background checks.
Not only are you endangering people that are employers and landlords, you are potentially defaming people with your redundant and incorrect information. I am sure you will be getting sued by someone on here that loses a job because of you bs app, or someone that is hurt because of it.
All the contractual lingo in the world doesn't make up for a list career, ruined reputation or lost life at the hands of your inaccurate and misleading information.
Why display people's family? So that drug and gambling debts gone bad can affect other people? Or that family member of convicts can be harassed as well?
Some forms of public knowledge don't need to be so easily accessed. You are the criminals. I hope that no one supports BeenVerified, for if we do, many people will be affected by your lack of professionalism in making your info correct.

I downloaded BeenVerified to learn about a suspect in a crime near my home. Despite being the only suspect in a high profile case with every news station in the state having reported on his numerous convictions after he was arrested for aggravated kidnapping and first degree felony murder, this app indicates no criminal record- even after requesting an update, to which I received no response.
So just for fun, I looked up my own. I wasn't mad when they listed my maiden name as my middle and last name. I wasn't mad when they reported my associations as relatives of my husband, whom I certainly do NOT associate with. I WAS mad when I saw that they DID report criminal records for me! I have never had more than a seatbelt violation, but they listed 6 records found for me. After doing some researching, I discovered that the information reported was from another woman who shares my first and maiden name. We do not live and never have lived in the same city or county and do not share relatives or associates. After calling customer service, she could only instruct me on how to remove my information myself. She could not tell me how this had been obtained, only that it was public record. This is not MY public record, it's someone else's. NOTHING has BEEN VERIFIED, this app. This is libel, plain and simple. Thank God my last name isn't Jones, or they might have listed me as a sex offender.

This used to be a good app. It gave a quick and fairly extensive background report right on your phone. Additionally, you were given one free credit to use per month, and the option to pay for more if you chose.

A recent update has changed that format. While I didn't use BeenVerified all that frequently, I did like the one free credit per month. The update actually took my free credits away. What is disturbing is my previous reports that had been purchased using the free credit are no longer available in full. They have been altered to only give minimal information. It appears if I wanted to see those full reports, which were already purchased, I now have to re-purchase those. That seems a bit shady to me.

Additionally, the prices on BeenVerified don't even match what is advertised in the description provided in the Apple App Store. I can't seem to find a way to purchase a single background check through BeenVerified , yet BeenVerified pushes me to purchase it by month or year. I don't need to spend money on a service I just needed occasionally.

I am upset it took away the reports I had already paid for, too. I might have paid for an occasional background check, but not after that. That's a bad business model. BeenVerified is no longer useful for my needs and I will find a different app that offers the same service.

I bought BeenVerified and the information that I need and is not at all accurate. I would not recommend BeenVerified or the website to anyone. Even the address is not correct.

I looked someone up that I knew. It had invalid information. So I looked my self up and again more information that is far from the truth. I have a kinda rare name and spelling so it’s not like there are a lot of people for me to get mixed up with. I would love to have my money back for the monthly fee. This was completely useless for me!!!

When I downloaded BeenVerified years ago? I was able to get decent info. What you would expect for free. Minimal requests and access per month, but you were always allowed to still view them and go back to them if needed and they even updated if you did. NOW, you cannot navigate AT ALL without BeenVerified pop-up requesting you to upgrade. I cannot even access my old searches. Terrible app now. DO NOT GET!!! Absolute disappointment.

I found BeenVerified entertaining, although I do need it something like it 4 business purposes! I don't believe that U can rely on it's accuracy! My family couldn't be found, including myself (I really do exist, along with my parents & siblings who I could not pull up, I promise)!! But, looking up a certain in-law, I got some good info with some out-of-state, with-in maybe last 3 years, & none of his alias showed up (including my husbands name, which I know he's used on numerous occassions & even been caught & charged 4 it)!! That was my 2nd reason 4 DLing BeenVerified, 2 check on a career criminal using my husband's name when he feels like it, mu husband's tired of randomly being in handcuffs without warning & without commiting any crimes!! Bottom line is its good if U just want 2 have fun but, if U want 2 check on prospective clients, Employees, or deadbeat family members, U might have 2 pay the big bucks!! SORRY, GUYS!!

Ok BeenVerified does work a little. You just have to be patient with it. It does have lots of glitches and bugs that need to be fixed, but here's how I got it to work. I downloaded it, then immediately double tapped my "home" button to open up my active apps. I then closed all my open apps to include this one. Then I re-opened it and it worked. I did a check on myself and it was to my surprise 90% accurate. Although I am debating on buying credits because though the address may be correct, I want a phone number. BeenVerified doesn't provide a phone. Number with the search. (I didn't see it at least). None the less it's a neat app. That needs to fix all the glitches and bug. Oh and include phone numbers.

Dont listen to the low star reviews but do be wary. It's good, Ive checked people I know and it gave me the address, relatives and property info: #of Bathrooms + Property Value. Type the name and narrow it down the options by city and relatives; after you select comes a surprising amount of info and fast. It's good for what it says it can do as I expected, in the Terms of Service it CLEARLY says it uses information **already public** to access said records but you can expect something's won't show up in public records. Matter fact I so happen to notice 3 people I looked for didn't pop up in the search but thats prob due to immigration status. I do believe it's around 70% accurate with this and more in mind (does come down to who you search). Worst that could happen though is the person you search for might not be whom they say they are called and live giving false info about everything... thats prob as bad as it gets to use this so do be wary but not afraid to use this cause it surely does do it's job

First, I'm surprised at the overwhelming negativity that seems to be encompassing reviews of BeenVerified. This program brings no new information to the table that wasn't readily available through other legal means. It only brings the same info that's already out there to the iPhone/iPod. Privacy is a concern, but no 'amendments' are being violated. You're entitled to a 'reasonable expectation of privacy' - nothing more. Culling through the public domain for personal information on someone does not constitute a breach of said privacy. The same goes for the person who mentioned 'they include the house's appraised value! People could rob you if they knew how much your house is worth!'. Now I'm not a criminal, but I would imagine potential burglars would have a more efficient method of casing houses than entering names from a phone book to see appraised values... (like maybe driving around wealthy neighborhoods?!). Ok, enough about that. BeenVerified works when it wants to. Searching my name pulled up relatives and siblings, age, and my last 3 addresses. However, it did not find the new address I've lived in for the last 3 months. I input my mother's name, and for some reason it said she lives in a city 60 miles from the address she's been for the last 29 years. My conclusion: use this as a party trick, but not as a definitive report.. And if you don't like the privacy concerns, well, just don't install it. -jeremy

C'mon people!! Everything on BeenVerified is protected by the Freedom of Information Act! Anyone in the country can go down to your local county government center and find out everything that is contained in BeenVerified. I can go to my local couthouse in Indiana and get information on crimes committed by our govorner. BeenVerified just takes a step out of the process, instead of me having to hop in my car and drive 30 minutes to the courthouse, I can do it from my finger tips. Obviously you have something to hide if you are threatening to sue over BeenVerified (which by the way, if you were a lawyer, you would know everything that I have just stated). Me personally, I have commited a few crimes over the years, some stuff I'm not proud of, but unless you have some way of claiming executive privilege from the government, there's nothing for you to be angry about. BTW, I give BeenVerified a 5, it has helped me CONFIRM some things about my coworkers and a friends boyfriend that have helped me solidify my negative opinion of them.

I find myself using BeenVerified quite often. If I have any doubts at all about someone my daughters have made new friends with, I get just enough information about that particular person and even a couple of their family members, just enough information to ease my mind. I've actually started doing the same with phone numbers that have called my elderly mother in the past. Like I said, it's just enough to ease my worries. There's a lot of these types of services out there, I checked on most before deciding to go with this app, I've not had any regrets. I am not one to do reviews, I have over two thousand apps to many, this is my second review I've ever written. I'm very appreciative of the peace of mind I get by checking someone out, before someone I love or care for potentially gets taken advantage of or hurt.

Absolutely brilliant. this app was genius prior to its recent update- NOW... It's priceless. You have everything you need and want literally in one spot. All the contact information was correct and current. I ran a report on myself on was amazed at what I found- even a little shocked, including a couple things I wasn't even aware of. It's good to know what information about yourself is floating around. It's even better when you're trying to find someone you haven't seen in years or someone you want to look up to verify their legitimacy- you can never be too careful. this app offers it all with a user friendly interface, it's clean, simple and incredibly accurate, all in one convenient location! Five Star app! Highly Recommend.
