There is incorrect use of terminology in iMathematics. For example, in goniometry, sec, cosec, and cot are describes as inverse functions. This is wrong. Inverse functions map one function's output back to the inputs. So if f is a function mapping x to y, then the inverse function of f maps y back to x. In trigonometry, that would be arcsin, arccos, arctan, etc. It appears to be a copy/paste of disparate sources from the web without citations. Bad app, bad ethics. Don't buy!

I haven't tried wolfram alpha, but the bulk of this apps funtionality is provided via links to the wolfram alpha website. Maybe this apps value add is some organization of the w. alpha website?

iMathematics 's built in calculator has tiny buttons, is slow, is confusing to find the mode you need, and doesn't support "reapply last operation" when pressing equals.

I thought iMathematics would be useful to relearn and learn math(trig, calc etc) and physics but it's more or less a collection of technical definitions that define subjects rather than teach concepts. Some material even seems to be directly copied from Wikipedia. I bought the pro version hoping the other subjects would be better taught with no such luck. I'd stick to the other free based academy apps out there if I were you.

iMathematics has promise, but isn't quite there yet, at least for independent learners. I bought a month-long subscription (quite affordable at just several dollars) and here's what I've found: for each topic, the "content" part of iMathematics consists mainly of definitions of terms, without any examples, plus a link to the Wikipedia article on the topic. For me, this isn't really enough to actually learn & understand a topic; I'm really feeling the lack of an actual textbook with examples, or the equivalent. Probably best to use iMathematics only if one's studied the material relatively recently, as a supplement.

I don't really like how you have to upgrade to "pro" and pay a fairly high amount just to learn, I honestly don't think that in-app purchases are necessary. If you want to learn, then you should be able to learn without being charged. Other than that, it does it's job for the most part and gives accurate analysis.

Good subject spread, but accuracy in Flash Quiz scoring is erroneous. Four questions in four subjects find selected answers compare identically with confirmed answers-- no restarts, no corrections first time through. Yet score is never greater than 75%. Shouldn't that be 100%?

I would have upgraded to pro version, however I immediately found an error or falsehood in iMathematics , and changed my mind. Currently it states that 'numbers divisible by two either end in 0 (zero) or are odd numbers'. Wrong! If they got that wrong, how many more errors could be in iMathematics . Fixes are in order.

I liked iMathematics but it doesn't seem simple enough to teach someone who hasn't really learned the material. What I find lacking is explanations of sin' cosine, tangent, etc. Also I would prefer to have a much bigger reading screen. Overall, it covers bits and pieces of the public/private school education (idk if it differs depending on region, but this case the east coast) but isnt helpful enough to rely on. I think having more equations and examples when to use hem would be much more helpful.

Ok so I love how iMathematics works but it doesn’t show division so it doesn’t help me but hopefully it works well for you

Seems to be good so far. Challenging but not difficult. Has great potential. Will upgrade stars once I know more. Worth a shot to help w Math. Which, I'm awful at. So let's hope I get better.

This has been fun to use for the past few days. It is a nice way to refresh some math skills on the move. I need more time with it to determine if it can have 5 stars.

I'm studying for a placement test for a nerd school I'm going to for high school and iMathematics helps so much with the studying! I am mastering skills of even the simple stuff that we forgot about and the little quizzes on her are very helpful in getting the skill right. Everyone should try this and it's really, really good!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars no doubts

iMathematics has great options, especially for the different calculators. This is a very good app and I use it the most. I made the mistake of just buying the most expensive apps, but unfortunately they are far more advanced then I am. iMathematics is perfect for a student just getting into precalculus or already in further more advanced classes.

iMathematics is very useful!! Now i can do my homework with ease thanks to this Application.
I'm a freshman that was having a very difficult time working with Trigonometry, however as i said in the beginning it is very useful and i hope many of you can take iMathematics as a Wonderful reference guide!! 📚📚📄📄📐📐 📓📓👌👌👍👍

Only on level two but gone through some of the Categories and explains everything simply and easy to understand examples aren't too easy either! Enjoy.

If I had iMathematics the first time I went through school, I might not be going through the second time.

I downloaded iMathematics, so I could have a refresher on some math. I will be taking my placement test soon for college and it's been 7 years since I've graduated high school. iMathematics is amazing.

iMathematics comes in handy, and I recommend downloading because it comes its so convient. iMathematics has a good developer too. It's well put together.

Too often we see drills disguised as problems, but iMathematics gives you all of the theory and technical knowledge needed to start connecting the dots. It encourages actual problem solving instead of just monkey see monkey do, iMathematics gives the rewards of lightbulb moments and is challenging enough to be interesting. Granted there are some issues but in an odd twist these rare accidents reflect what working on a problem is like, it's up to the mathematician to find the flaw. It's the only app I've seen to do these things, it's great!

A great basic review of different terms and processes within mathematics. Vocabulary can be the downfall when performing calculations and this app does well defining those terms.
