The good: Stories loaded quickly
The bad: Not many stories or sections compared to the NY Times app, it's very limited.

Every single time you open a news story, a dog ad pops up... EVERY TIME! I’ve had IrishIndependentNews for years. Deleting it now. Even if you don’t mind the terrible experience, the indo has clearly decided to be a gossip rag, having more stories on some chick called vogue than broadsheet news.

The version that released on 4/19 now has ads and if I've paid for an app then i don't expect to be ads.

App crashes as soon as you click on a story to read. Using ipod touch latest software....can I have my money back please...

That someone at the Indo thought it OK to charge $2.99 for IrishIndependentNews is a sign that 'Ripoff Ireland' is alive and well. The developer should take a look at the CNN app or any other app for that matter. Don't waste your money until IrishIndependentNews improves.

I like the content on IrishIndependentNews, but they seem to be trying out a new design layout that I do not like as much. However, the bigger issue with this design update is it introduced a bug such that you cannot close IrishIndependentNews . It’s annoying as I have to restart my phone to close IrishIndependentNews . Please fix.

Hello I’m from Ireland living in the US for nearly 30 years I have a payed subscription to the Irish Independent app for years and have always used the newspaper to stay current on what’s happening but I have lost trust and will not continue to support this newspaper because you don’t cover what’s really going on in the country about how small rural communities are being destroyed by immigration you’re no longer a trustworthy source you don’t cover the real stories of people losing their hotel s there jobs their communities are being destroyed while you write stories about unimportant issues you are a bought and paid for one sided rag that can’t be trusted to cover the real issues

The Indo is not the newspaper it used to be. The newspaper is not balanced and fair.
It has become a liberal and gossip newspaper. The standard of journalism has fallen at the Indo. I still enjoy it’s sports coverage.

New update is faster and more usable. However biggest flaw is that you can no longer view articles offline. No real point to having IrishIndependentNews now, since if you have internet available you will just go to the main website. Hopefully offline articles can be reinstated in the next update.

Many of the links for non premium articles do not open. This has happened since the most recent redesign.

I like the Independent but the new charges are just not worth it. I understand that the business is taking a huge hit and they need the revenue but I just don’t see enough people paying these prices.

It’s like living back home. I read it first thing in the morning before the American news. Love this paper. It keeps me connected. Great reading. I love the podcasts. You all do a fantastic job. Keep up the great work. Thanks for all you do

Excellent for staying on top of what's going on around Ireland and the world.

Complained before when there was no offline ability. That has been corrected. Great app now.

Independent's app scores equal with - actually SUPERIOR to Fox News Mobile. With Independent's easy text size button, readability is just plain easy. All the beauty and speed of access is here. News doesn't get quicker than this.

I am updating my review. I emailed my complaint that IrishIndependentNews was crashing and they responded promptly.

IrishIndependentNews now works great and is worth the $$. It is a great one stop source for Irish news.
