The latest update made Today so user unfriendly, not to mention it trashed all my “Someday” notes that had important info. I used to use Today daily, now I’m shopping for another.

Friday I could open my app that contained over 200 notes and reminders. Saturday I couldn’t. I have been using Today for 15 years and LOVE IT. Please at least let me get my notes out!!!!

I have had Today for a few months, but this app one of the reminders I had set went off. It made the noise and then it happened...my iphone froze. I tried holding the sleep switch and the home button to reset the phone, but the phone couldn't boot past the apple logo. I brought the phone into the apple store and they wiped the phone entirely. They told me the problem was software, not hardware, and to try to restore a backup.

I went home, tried to restore my backup, and it froze again immediately after Today was installed. I had to wipe my whole phone again. I then installed all of my other apps besides this one and it worked fine. I then tried adding Today and my iphone locked up again immediately. I then wiped my whole phone for the 3rd time and installed Today alone, and once again the phone immediately crashed and locked up. I wiped my phone for the 4th time, and installed all other apps and the phone now works fine. Since I can't install Today anymore, I lost all of my appointments and important dates...there is no way to see them. Today has completely screwed me over

I’ve used Today for 10 years and it’s been clean, sleek, and organized. I open this after the most recent update and it’s a visual nightmare of poor design. The illustrations look like cheap clip art, and the functionality has become a cluttered mess. I don’t need to see “Default List” listed in the actual list over and over. Please restore the previous version. There was no need to change something that was already perfect.

There are so many overly complicated todo apps. The fussy interface all too often gets in the way of the purpose; this is not for filing, it's for listing things that need to be done. There no need to hold on to the tasks; just finish, delete, an replace with new tasks.

Today is simple and I love it. I am a construction manager and use it to take notes during meetings because the data input is instant and accurate. (It's easier and less cumbersome than my clipboard and notepad) It's my dirty secret that a 4 dollar, whimsically illustrated iPhone app is the key to getting things done and running my $1.5M project.

If you do ical integration, etc, please make the changes optional. It's nice to have the amount of control you've given the user)

Ps I spent $20 on that GTD app like a fool. I deleted after a week when I realized my time was spent as a custodian for the information I needed. Today frees me of the structure and allows me to truly GTD!

UPDATE: Down to 4 stars - I'd like to see Today recognize dates, phone numbers, websites, etc. It doesn't do that so you have to copy, transfer and paste to do anything, making all your info on a bit of an island. That part of is isnt super efficient. I still use Today for all notes regardless.

After spending so much on to do apps, reading the reviews for this one made me think, "Maybe I need to simplify my life a bit more." I'm still using Pocket Informant but after an issue they had on Jan 15th I began to play around with the iCal calendar, discovered it syncs with my Google calendar and decided to try an app that is ONLY for to dos. I purchased this one because of the upgrade promises but after playing around with it I really really like it. I would like to add something beyond the 30 days they offer but have been able to compensate for that by adding it on the very last day possible. I'll move it over when the time comes. I do agree that, psychologically, beginning each day with an 'empty slate' is nice.  Love the backgrounds although a few more (of the same type) would be great but that would just be an added bonus. Can't wait for syncing and repeating tasks. That will absolutely make me dump some of the other ones I'm still holding on to. Great job!

I have had this a short time & already I can tell that I like the way it looks & works. My only problem is with the recurring tasks. Life is not so perfect that the only choices you need are daily, weekly, monthly, every 3 months & yearly. I need tasks that recur 5 days / week, every week, or once every 6 weeks, every 12 days, twice / year... This is something that toodledo does very well. I am changing from that program because of syncing issues. This program is much prettier, which is nice. But not sure I can deal with the limited options in recurring. This program would be about perfect, if you could fix this :)

I have had this a few weeks now & overall I am very happy with it. I am still hoping that you will make a lot more options for recurring tasks, as I am having to still use some other task programs to make it work. Also, there are a few bugs to work out. It crashes about 80% of the time that I am going from an alternate list to the default list. AND Most of the time it will not allow me to schedule a task more than a month ahead. Say I have a major project due in 3 months,
& want to schedule a few tasks to make sure all parts are completed. I cannot set the date to, say, Nov 7, (it is Aug now) as Nov won't usually open. If I go out & manually shut down the program & then start it again, it will usually work once. This is a bummer!! Please fix. I enjoy the format of this program!

I went though more than a handful of todo apps before I found this one shortly after it's release. Within the first few days of use blew it's competition away for me. I had been using syncing services, trying to link to my calendar and other hoops. In the end, they were far more trouble than they were worth or had too many complicated nested screens to get where I needed to be in Today . This one opens immediately to this app and what I need to do is *right there*. With the one of the first major updates, prioritization and lists were added. Both features make Today a tiny bit more complicated but adds more functionality. It is visually stunning and simple to use. I could not be more pleased. My husband says that the only hang up for him is that the lists are impossible to export. I don't need for it to, so Today is perfect.

I normally don't take the time to write reviews for the apps I use, but I've been overwhelmingly compelled to write one for this one. I have used just about every to do app out there (2Do, To Do, Pocket Informant among many others), and this one by far, is the best one. The power behind it is it's simplicty. Adding new tasks is fast and efficient, which is really helpful when you have a fast paced schedule and you just need to get new tasks in there. Starting each day with a "Fresh Start" is another great bonus. This way you don't have to look at a long list overdues everyday you don't get things done. The new Lists feature is also nice; but I've kept this simple too, using only "Home", "Work", and "Errands" lists. The multiple lines per task allows you to create projects or checklists within a single task item! I recommend Today to anyone looking see their productivity shoot through the roof!!!

I've bought and tried over 10 to-do app's. This one is my favorite because it can be set to automatically push incomplete to-do's to the next day. I was so tired of having to-do's fall off the radar because they were not completed, or having to go to a special incomplete section to see them. I also love how you can put each to-do in a category, and the to-do's are displayed by category. I'm using Today to accomplish (and see progress at the end of the year) on various goals (which have become my categories). I am tired of having Jan. 1st roll around and I can't remember what I did the previous year or see that I accomplished anything (seems to be important to me at this stage in my life). For my completed tasks, if they would show my progress on a goal, I leave them in the Yesterday section, or if they would not make a difference when viewed at the end of the year, like go to my PO Box, then I delete them. Also want to mention that the developers DO answer their email. I got a reply to my question w/in one day. Looking forward to new features in upcoming version 2.

this app Todo is the most fun todo app I've ever used.

While I have you ...
There are a couple occasional bugs (since newest update) like when moving items between lists and changing an items list from the window shade, and no longer able to manually sort lists (well it allows it, but doesn't update display in the main screen UI).
Feature requests:
• I'd love to see some kind of cloud sync between devices.
• An iPad and Mac version would be outstanding.

But just glad to have it on my phone, if nothing else.

Thank you for keeping Today alive, and for all the little details that make this app Todo a refreshing change in the overly left brain focused task managers.

I searched high and low for an app that would allow me to have a simple to do list. I wanted one where I could just put the task in, move it around if needed, repeat it, and check it off when I was done. Many were complicated and didn't fit the bill. This one is perfect. It's so simple to use and I love checking off all my things every day. My phone started to tell me that Today needed an update. I was worried that I was going to lose my to do list. BUT...here is the update!! Yay! Thank you so much. Love the little flower pot too.

A very useful todo app that is friendly and easy to use but also has more advanced functions like repeating tasks and alarms if you need.

I’ve been using Today daily for probably 15 years or longer. I recently updated to IOS 14.2 and Today will no open. Is it still supported?

I enjoy using Today every day. It's useful and easy to use. It's clever in having "yesterday", "this app" and "tomorrow" and the interface is as appealing to look at as it is to use. Thanks to the makers and Apple.

This is my favorite to-do list app after trying many. For me the killer feature here is so simple: the option to set a priority on a task. I also love that all of my incomplete items are automatically moved to Yesterday, then I can easily bring back things I still want to accomplish to this app. Today is simple, beautiful, and keeps me organized.

I didn’t realize how much I love Today until I got a new phone and couldn’t find it easily in Today Store. I love being able to easily arrange things on my todo list for this app and tomorrow and that I can move things from day to day and pull forward items that weren’t completed. Today is simple and works well for people like me who love a good pen and paper list.

Like others here I’ve used Today everyday for years. In fact it’s probably Today I use most. It is so simply designed and intuitive. When Today wasn’t updated and disappeared recently I had to try other to do apps. But they are very clumsy. I’m so happy Apple updated Today for us. But I’m scared it’ll disappear again!

Today is awesome. The UI is pleasing and peaceful, but not distracting from the purpose of Today , which is to get things done.

The number one cause of failure for productivity apps is how difficult it is to put in new items or reschedule items you couldn't get to. That is the best feature of Today. It couldn't possibly be easier to add tasks to your to do list! If you want to set up a task with dates, times, reminders, alarms, etc. you can add as many of these as you want, quickly and easily. But if you just want to jot something down, you just do it in minimal steps. Today doesn't pester you about all that stuff or make you plod through several unnecessary steps for every task you add just to tell it whether or not you want to add an alarm, reminder, repeat, date, time, etc. It shouldn't take you longer to add a task than it would take you to do it, and it literally takes only a handful of seconds to add a task in Today.

Each day you start with a clean slate. No nagging about stuff you didn't get to yesterday or the day before. And if you still want to get it done, it takes exactly two taps to move the task to this app from yesterday.

It's fast and easy to use. The UI is pleasant yet unobtrusive. The controls are intuitive and easy to learn. The help tutorial is useful and short. You will love Today.
