LOST ALL MY INFO

These app developers are atrocious. I had the original app for years with nearly 100 notes in it. I had since stopped using the app as my “daily driver” but referenced that info in that app regularly. One day, the app stopped opening and wasn’t supported in the US anymore...what?? Then one day the app disappeared entirely. I’ve reached out to the developers multiple times about retrieving my information and got NO response.

I just saw a new version released. Overjoyed, I quickly downloaded to find it completely barren. I’ve used iCloud to religiously sync all data always, I’ve never lost anything. But this app lost all my notes. I tried the advanced setting to restore from a backup and nothing. I could not have a worse experience and recommend staying far far away from this app if you value your information.

I’ve been using and loving anote for years, since it first came available.
The app started crashing over 3 weeks ago now. It crashes before I can utilize any help menu or FAQ or contact within the app. So, I followed every recommended step and procedure found from the developer and the FAQ on website and nothing worked. I have messaged and emailed the developer numerous times and have received absolutely no contact back.

Please help! It is not just my schedule and calendar I can’t access and haven’t been able to use for weeks. My family and I use anote for everything. That is why I love it so and have stuck with it all these years. The length of time without any contact from developer without any help or fix continues to make a very negative impact in my life.

I am a parent with a disabling genetic disease that was passed to my child… instead of symptom tracking apps, medication reminder & monitoring apps, voice recording apps(we record doctor appointments, treatment instructions, etc), we use anote for EVERYTHING. It does all of this and more. It is an excellent app, even for such complex lives as ours.

Please, please, respond and help.

I made the EPIC mistake of buying the iPad version! I held out for so long because I felt it was unfair to not at least offer a discount to existing paid iPhone app users.

But it finally came to a point I had to have it on my iPad and I figured by now all the kinks would have been ironed out.

I bought the app, set up iCloud sync and now I’m missing ENTIRE folders of notes. I’m talking years of notes. Gone!

I have backups, but I’d created so many new notes before noticing the disappearance, I can’t just opt to restore from my backups without fear of losing the new files. I’ve tried hitting up support via the app and have not received a SINGLE response.

So now I’m faced with giving time I really don’t have to purging ALL of my notes and saving them elsewhere just so I can possibly restore and salvage all the lost notes. And THEN see if I can’t get a refund for that destructive iPad app and also possibly find a new more secure notes app.

I’m SO disappointed in all this. Long ago, I searched and searched for a great notes app to fit my needs and when I found this app, it was virtually perfect. It had served me so well. I should have just left well enough alone.
