For an app for designers, the UI is completely unacceptable. There is no back arrow, the only way to navigate back is to select a bottom icon that to returns to start menu, and then have to start completely over to return to where one last was in listings.

Love the content on here! Why can’t I navigate backwards in the directory though?

The whole world's design news in a single great app. Works perfectly well, no crashes, sleek, and user friendly. 'Around There' and 'Around Here' are my prefered functions, shows about anything related w design on any given location, also upcoming events, so helps plan ahead a business trip to Milan or London. Perfect integration with google maps. Two thumbs up. A must have for designers, can't believe it's for free!?

this is the kind of info i used to have to search the web for and could never find in one place. Now it is assembled in one place asq if i had a personal assistant reading for me and leaving only that which was most important! Kudos to the team for very tactile and effective dexign.

Nice, clean, elegant design. The "mechanics" of the interface work great, so you get smooth swipes with your finger and not choppy scrolling like with other apps.
It also gathers and displays lots of interesting info about art/design/architecture events around the world that would be hard to find otherwise.
I do agree on the lack of web links and thumbnails/videos in the articles to be it's only weak point right now. Nevertheless it's worth downloading.

Lots of info here that covers a wide range of art, architecture and design news. One thing I think would help is if there was a sense of a timeline to the article search. Once you start browsing articles, it just gives you page after page of stories with no sense of how recent some of this info is. Filtering within the last week, month, or ninety days would be a welcome improvement.

Works well with lots of information. Not sure what app the two negative reviewers are looking at, but 'deplorable' design and being 'hijacked' into giving a review aren't anything I've experienced. Hint... When it asks if you would like to give a review you just click 'decline'. If you can decline or reject something you aren't being hijacked. Go sailing in the Gulf near Somalia then you'll learn what hijacking is about!

Site is very informative for all those who are interested in the art and design world. Information that is both valuable and not otherwise available. Good job!!!

It doen't filter events by location. Why would I care about a fashion show in Japan? I want to know what's going on near me, or where I might be soon. Also, I'm in a city with over a million people with countless museums and galleries but, according to this app, the closest museum to me is over a hundred miles away. I can think of several excellent museum in smaller cities closer than that. To say Dexigner is incomplete is being nice. The events and places listed are things you already know about if you're even remotely interested in art and design.

Dexigner allows me to stay on top of design-related news the same way I stay on top of world and local news on my iPad! It's well worth the download.

Before using Dexigner, I always had this idea of how great would it be to have an app that shows you design related events in your surroundings. And Dexigner almost does it using the around me feature. Dexigner offers a good concise selection of design related news at your fingertips and it is a joy to interact with.

Nice app, pretty well designed and executed. The glaring omission from every entry, though, is a link the website of the person, company or event! Sure you can Twitter, facebook and email stuff, even see it on a map, but you can't get to their websites. Did someone forget these vital links or was this, for some reason I can scarcely fathom, purposely omitted?

Dexigner is handsomely crafted. It has a slick clean feel that is highly functional and pleasing to use. It has been very informative for being notified of upcoming design competitions.

Very nice app. Some comments:

1) it should incorporate much more images. As for now it is 95% reading and 5% viewing. Not a bad thing, but from a design perspective, it should be more visual.
2) words are a bit on the small side and one would benefit if there is an option for changing the font scale.
3) the sharing system could implement more choices.

This application is very informative and the Push system works flawlessly! Highly recommended.

Both applications are very well designed, thou i must say it looks better on an iphone even if its small.

Iam a designer and ive enjoyed Dexigner, whats neat is that i contacted a company i liked regarding their work, they got back to me and were very friendly. Dexigner makes sense to be able to find the nearest conference and tinformation close to home. Goodjob.

I love Dexigner because it's constantly being updated with new information on a range of design fields. it's like a scholarship website for designers because their are so many contests made known to users through Dexigner.

Dexigner is pretty cool and does what it says. I just wish the articles had a little more to them and that the functions within Dexigner were streamlined. The overall movement in Dexigner is kind of jerky.

Because of Dexigner I've been a part of so much more in life from competitions to a basic knowledge of events an exhibits in my local area. A must have
