The Urantia Book Reviews

In my 5th reading I am seemingly reading much of it for the first time. Obviously I am understanding and remembering more detail. Questions often arise but the next paragraph or the next page or the next paper is where an answer can be discerned.

The Truth of what it tells anchors in the mind almost from the beginning even though the narrative about the vast number of celestial beings is almost incomprehensible at first. Also the span of time that will pass as a mortal awakens in the Morantia levels and commits to undertake the journey to Paradise is beyond comprehension but nevertheless is anchored in the mind as truth believed..

This program enables the reader to set the font type and size and shade of light or darkness to his or her liking. On paper that is not possible. On paper what you see is what you get.

The Urantia Book speaks to the individual at whatever level one is able to understand. From simple ability to advanced intellectual level it tells its story. It tells it all. It tells it all to me and to you and to everyone no matter who. It is a gift to all. It tells us all how to reach the Universal Father. I hope to see and share the journey with you. Let’s go..

I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself a “student” of the Papers per se, but around last spring I became introduced to this cool little volume. I was especially intrigued by its fourth section on the life and teachings of Jesus. As a Christian it was cool to read a kind of “sci-fi Bible” where the story of the Old Testament and the story of the New are all just one part of an overarching cosmic drama that spans eons.

Three suggestions I have for TheUrantiaBook are just stylistic choices. I’m a fan of EB Garamond as a font so if there were a few more font selections that’d be dandy. Also maybe a “red text” version (heck maybe a “blue text” version) on TheUrantiaBook ’s settings where the words of Jesus are in red (a la the Truthbook website) or stand out somehow would be a good touch. A third idea is just one that pleases my OCD brain aesthetically - a justified text option on the settings.

Overall, nice app, nice book, nice story - a cool read, even though I don’t necessarily believe all that it has to say.

The book has changed my life. I had a hard copy of the book I bought from a thrift store for one dollar! The thrift store was next for to my store. I closed the store for the day and was on my way home and something came over me telling me to go back to the thrift store and buy a book. The store was nearly a half mile or more from where I was and I walked all the way back, went in the store and the very first book I picked up was The Urantia! I opened it up and started randomly skimming through it and I automatically knew I had to have this book!

As an app presenting a large volume in pages this one does well having a simplicity of order making accessibility easy for there is much challenging information in volume and broad complexity. The compliment of a section of quotes or significant passages offers an excellent introduction to taste and see what this book is all about. A succeeding layer of help would be a concordance and cross reference to tie together repeat themes or words found throughout. Such a study aide is some help in this exposure to GOD and our eternal relationship to him as the book offers.

This remarkable volume of exquisite prose is for the spiritual seeker inspired by the life of Jesus, yet drawn beyond traditional religious institutions. Documented and reported by high consciousness this is the inspirational & updated story of the life and teachings of Jesus, accompanied by a history of the universe, evolution on Earth(Urantia) and the operations of the heavenly host. Love was Jesus’ message, God as Source guides us in life’s purpose of love, and humanity’s evolution is the ongoing earthly revelation of our place in a universe of life and being. Expect to be awed and changed.

People need to do more personal in-depth research on the validity of any kind of religious/spiritual/metaphysical literature that they may dare take to heart, as this book itself is full of man-made nonsense. This book has been proven to be a fraud by various literary analyses, showing how more recent science and archaeological finds have disproven many of this book’s erroneous statements. I first thought this book might be worthwhile, but as soon as I looked online for the background and origins of this book, the search results made it all immediately clear to me- this book is just one of many pieces of literature that claims to provide some kind of divine insight, that’s actually a bunch of nonsense being fabricated by human hands— not at all “divinely inspired”.

Dev. Thanks for the effort you put into making TheUrantiaBook. It really is great. However, the monthly payment to enable search and other features is … how can I put it nicely… a bit too much. I would be happy to pay you but the amount you’re asking with a recurring setup… I just cannot bring myself to pull the trigger so to speak. Perhaps one payment to open up each feature? Or at least a smaller amount to get the features. Idk. But if something changes there, I am IN!

I have been studying the UB for over 35 years now and it has been the single greatest influence in my life for wanting to be the best person that I can possibly be, and it has given me hope that there truly is purpose for us all starting our potential eternal existence on this imperfect mortal sphere that we call Earth.

This book does not discourage any one religion, but shares the truth inherent to all, the truth that might not be entirely apparent in other religious texts. It is a truly a divine work and the source of absolute truth for anyone looking to grow spiritually. I started with Jesus' life (Part IV), since this piece of the book is most concrete, and I wanted to better understand his teachings, however the UB covers a range of topics, from the Nature of God to the Universe and Life on a Neighboring Planet.

A modern revelation of Gods love for his children. I have been reading this book for almost 50 years. No words can describe the power of this revelation. Each time I read any of it whether for 5 minutes or hours, I am taken out of this small island of time and shown our vast life to come. Peace be upon you

This book is perfection, so exquisitely articulate in its design, that I hardly have the words to summarize. I am like an infant in awe when I pick up this book. A book that will take me through to the rest of my life and even then I will die with only a fraction of its concepts understood.

Suggestion for the developers. I still love books. But its always great to have it at your fingertips. Somethings I normally do with “this book in particular” is make notes, highlight sections, underline some great passages.
Would it be possible to possibly incorporate some of these aspects. Or possibly having the option of changing the font color (not of all, but say we choose which words to change. “ like highlighting but changing the color of the font”)

Also having an option to read with white or black background and contrasting words.

I only recently downloaded TheUrantiaBook, but have been a Urantia reader, on and off, for years. The Quotes section is a favorite of mine. I love that I can click to expand on it, allowing myself to dive even deeper into the readings. Thank you.

So amazing to have this book with me where ever I go. The wisdom life changing. I do with there was a way to highlight and organize sections for personal study. I like to go back and revisit often. The reading history cue doesn’t suffice. Other than that this is my most favorite app- ever.

Study the book for years and applied it to my life it has changed my dimension on spiritual reality here in this life :) but what I would love for this platform to have is a highlighter with different colors to underline. very powerful stuff here unlike anything I’ve ever stumbled on.

The Urantia Book is simply the teachings of our Central Universe, our Local Universe, our Planet, and our beloved Creator Son.

The truth exists in these pages by a devoted cadre of illuminated individuals.

My adoration and whole-hearted worship for the Father and the Trinity. My respect and admiration to the Authors of this Book and to all my contemporaries.

I was just sitting here thinking, where would I be had I not, on that day in 1978, slipped and fell.

How empty and meaningless my life might be.

Miraculously I was not hurt. Much more miraculous was how two previous events led me to the fall that raised me higher than I ever could have imagined, The Urantia Book.

Sometimes I need to step back and take in the quotes in random order to get a bigger picture view and remember the vastness of this total text. Thank you for TheUrantiaBook.

Sometimes I Do Not Know What To Believe, It Largely Depends Upon My Mood. I Do Not Want To Be Lukewarm,Yet I Also Desire For Things To Make Sense. The Still Quiet Voice And The Comforters Visitations Indicate That The Urantia Book Is Correct, But/Yet Mainstream Fundamental Christianity Says Otherwise. Sometimes I Grow Weary Of My Search For Truth !?!?!

I’ve been studying the Urantia book for over 40 years. This is by far the best electronic edition you can get. It’s laid out in the exact same format as the original print editions, down to the way the paragraphs are set, and italicized words. These are important subtleties that many electronic versions miss. You have lots of format options (language, paragraph and page numbering and more) And the search engine is fantastic - I highly recommend paying the extra couple of bucks to have this excellent tool.

Great reading, very detailed on important matters. Makes you look at religious beliefs from a new perspective. I wonder if a man of science reads some of the chapters he or she may notice reference to topics like dark energy or dark matters. Splendid book!
