Metronome - reloaded Reviews

As in other reviews, I cannot see the icon (whatever it may be) that starts the beat. I just pound the screen in random places until it starts. I would love to keep using this this app but it doesn’t allow for quick access when the icon isn’t even visible. So now trying other apps because as much as I like this one I can’t use it. It’s a bummer too as it would be the only one I’d use if I could use it! Changing my contrast is not a viable option as I would have to set and reset every time I would want to use this. If it ever becomes visible I’ll use it but until then I’ll have to find something else.
Update: yay! Thank you developer response! It’s working great and I don’t have to find another! Most exciting thing all pandemic! Thanks again!

Metronome is simpler to use than other similar apps. More responsive and has ALL the numbers !
2 slight annoyances: Sometimes it's hard to get the stick moving. And, the movement has a stiff, "CGI" quality - - which actually, when you're accustomed to it, can be a plus !-

In spite of one small glitch I gave this 5 stars instead of 4 because of the great customer service. The only problem is that the very important blue “i” (Info) icon that you must touch to set the time signature and beats per measure has such low contrast that I didn’t see it. When I wrote to the company they replied within 30 minutes and solved my problem. (The info icon is located on the lower right of the this app base. Notice that in the iTunes image you can’t even see it.) This is also one of the few this app apps that allow you to have no beat accented as an option.

Metronome itself is good, but it sometimes comes up with an ad that I can’t get out of. After pressing the “i” in the lower right corner to get to settings, then “Done” to get back, an ad comes up.

This is ok, and fine with me (they gotta make money), as long as one can return back to Metronome from there. Most ads have an “x” that let you close them and get back to the this app app. The ad “Flip Trickster“, which comes up for me about half of the time, doesn’t- it only has an “install” button on the bottom, and locks you in the game trial. No way to get back to the this app. Only way is to kill Metronome and restart.

I understand the need for ads, but getting locked in a deliberately annoying ad makes Metronome unusable.

It’s I need something simple to operateInot that I don’t have rhythm, I need the discipline of staying within the designated time signatures. This simple, wonderful little this app is exactly what I need for now.

I need the more refined version—that allows for the one and two and three and four and—as my sense of disciplined rhythm develops, however. I hope to find this simple to use one expanded at Metronome store!

Metronome it very cool, but I do not like how sometimes it glitches and I have to wait for it to go back to normal. Otherwise, Metronome is great and tells you what time signature you want and shows you what the tempo is called. I love Metronome but hope for the glitch to be gone. 👍 Also my cello teacher, Li Ma, highly recommended it to me and I’m very great full for her. So yeah, you should get Metronome . 🤗

Using an iPad Air 2. Found out problem with no sound was evidently keyboard clicks were turned off. Solution was not with volume switches or anything in settings. I had to drag down controls from the upper right corner of the screen. I also checked the accuracy. It was perfect at 30, 60, 90, 180 (and also 77).

I’m a professional musician. All I need is the old Seth Thomas-style this app, nothing else, and Metronome gives me that. It’s louder than the old, battery-operated hand-held models, and it’s always with me. My only comment is that it can be a little hard to get the weight to remain on the speed I’ve chosen when I lift my finger off of the touch screen.

Metronome has replaced the electronic this app I’ve used for 30 years which recently has given me problems. I actually like it better as you can accent the first beat in a measure and it is easier to hear when I use headphones with my digital piano. Kudos!!!

I have been using Metronome for 4 years and the beats are very good for almost any instrument. The only problem is that sometimes there are ads but you can always get out of them!

I’d be happy to pay for a this app that works without ads. The ads are distracting which makes practice too difficult.

Also, setting the tempo is funky. I can’t accurately use the slider. It changes by 1 or more beats when I lift my finger. If I edit the numbers, I have to backspace with is incredibly annoying.

Remove ads (yes, I’ll pay for Metronome ) and make it easier to set tempo. Then you get my votes, but until then, it’s a no go.

Metronome is so awesome. No ads ever. It makes the perfection sound and I am in love! It works so so well. Thanks for the awesome app!! I know Metronome has had some issues according to the other reviews but there has been nothing, sooooo yeah. Completely and utterly love it❤️❤️❤️

Many time signatures (including none), manually typed BPM, and far less memory usage compared to the other metronomes on Metronome store. My only wish is that more click sounds were available to choose from.

Metronome is never slow never had any problems with it helps me with my drum lessons and you can adjust it any way you want there and there’s only one ad each day don’t know what I would do without Metronome 😀

Two problems for me, on first impression... I need to be able to adjust the tempo more easily, but the slider is so sensitive that it’s hard to get it to stop exactly where I want it. And I don’t see how to start it up at an exact moment to jump in with a recording. It’s impossible to predict what instant it will start ticking. (I’m trying to find the tempi of record movements of a mass.)

I desperately need a this app, and there is no question of going out of the house now because of the crisis...
So Metronome is a lifesaver...

People really need this!

I play piano and I like to look at a this app, but other apps are confusing. Metronome is very simple and easy to use, but I gave it four stars because it is a little hard to stop.

I teach handchimes to students, and I needed something accurate to keep the beat so all chimers could literally be on the same page. Also, the accented first note helps.

I own a trumpet and I have been practicing it for a long time and I got this this app app. I like it but when you start the tempo it might go to a different tempo. You got to swipe the screen in a specific way and it works 50% of the time.

I needed some sort of this app I used to be this kind of drummer like. Oh I just gotta feel it u know. But now that I have a this app I can stay locked keep it up guys love Metronome

Has ads but works fairly well. Great for working on new pieces of music.

I literally just got Metronome to practice my French horn, BUT the problem is, I cannot seem to find the play button for the this app. So like what the heck. Do you even know how hard it is to practice difficult Christmas music without a this app and with siblings who won’t shut up?! Well it’s really hard. So it would be nice if you had a really obvious play button. The end.😵😑😒😔🙄 I’m dissatisfied
