The best choice for a serious musician

I am a cellist and I use PracticeTunerMetronomeApp every single day. Not merely to tune my strings, but to practice intonation and timing. The paid version is absolutely 100% worth it, and the people whining about the disabled features in the free version clearly don't understand how well-designed PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is. I use all the features. It will record, play a metronome in any meter with any accented beats, play drone notes, and even play the drone while the metronome is going. Best of all, it has this awesome feature where you can set the metronome to speed up based on the looping of a set number of measures. And it's totally customizable. The only comparison to PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is the very expensive Boss branded tuner metronome devises, but unlike the Boss, Practice+ fits in your pocket. For a serious musician, this is the best option. For added volume, a simple bluetooth speaker works great.

This app is frustrating

I really disliked PracticeTunerMetronomeApp because it would only let me use A and A sharp for 3 minutes out of the whole entire day. It also kept saying I should get the full version and pay for the better version. To me if your going to make a tunning app, make to where I can use all the pitches instead of just A and A sharp. Not to mention I can only use it for 3 minutes. Lastly, I would like to say that adds would pop up out of now where and would waste my 3 minutes. PracticeTunerMetronomeApp made me more frustrated than happy and I highly do no recommend unless you want to be madder than a red hen. I would rather have to wait till the next day so that my orchestra teacher can tune it for FREE WITH NO ADDS OR ONLY LETTING ME CHOOSE FROM A AND A SHARP. I hate PracticeTunerMetronomeApp and I am so mad that I wasted 20 minutes waiting for it to load to get a crap of an ap. Do not recommend for the last time.

Great app, one bug...

I use PracticeTunerMetronomeApp as a tuner every day and for multiple instruments. I would like to point out that there is a bug I’ve noticed. I will open PracticeTunerMetronomeApp and use the tuner, then navigate to another app. Then when I try to open practice+ again it is frozen and I have to close out of it entirely and reopen.

Practical practice made simple

This is a fantastic ‘no nonsense’ practice app. Want to listen to a drone note and metronome simultaneously? Want to record yourself with a metronome? Want to slowly speed up the metronome while practicing a part? Want to be able to do all or any of those things effortlessly, intuitively, without wasting time? PracticeTunerMetronomeApp does all that.
They’ve done a good job packing a lot of functionality into PracticeTunerMetronomeApp without over complicating the UI. And it’s all yours for the price of a latte.

Solid app

This is a solid metronome app. Very reliable and decently easy to navigate through. There is only one bug that I’ve come across and it’s with the recording on PracticeTunerMetronomeApp . At times PracticeTunerMetronomeApp crashes. Could be my phone, could be PracticeTunerMetronomeApp . PracticeTunerMetronomeApp would be improved if it were to add more pitches to the metronome. Disregarding the picky stuff, PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is a very good, well functioning app. It is well worth a few dollars.

Too Many Features Disabled

The metronome is great. The count tone can be changed so I was able to change the 1 count tone to the left side of the pendulum instead of the right side--this is my personal preference. However, I could not evaluate the tuner because within seconds of opening, the developer's ad appeared saying I had 90 free seconds/day unless I wanted to unlock features with a $0.99-to-$4.99 subscription. I guess with the free version you only have 2-seconds at a time to tune. Since I cannot evaluate the tuner, I'll select a different app.

Best app for musicians

I've downloaded dozens of met/tuner apps and there's anyways something missing from them. Practice+ is PracticeTunerMetronomeApp with everything you need. Works just like professional met/tuner. I also have a very particular music professor who requires certain tools and equipment. She's never complained about PracticeTunerMetronomeApp and is satisfied with its capabilities. Excellent app!

Paying for features

I dont really enjoy having to pay for certain features on apps mainly because I dont want to spend unwanted amounts of money. I understand that companies must make money but that doesnt mean that you should charge for sound changes or color changes. I am a percussionist practicing for band/marching band and I would like a metronome that is free and has sound changes. But although this is free I would want to change the sound.

Simple yet powerful

PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is one of the more clean and simple metronome apps out on the market. The only problem that I have with it is the fact that it doesn't have an option for polyrhythms. Other than that, PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is one of the best apps I have ever used.

By

Little glitchy at times..

For the most part, PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is usable and features most things a drummer can use. However, it would be nice to have a "vocal" counting option for sound instead of the basic click, digital, woodblock, etc. I would give it a 5 star if freezing glitch was fixed. Please add option for voice counting

Does so much at once!

PracticeTunerMetronomeApp does so many things at once, and does them well. One thing that would be a lovely addition would be a tuner mode (visualization mode?) in which the played notes appeared on the clef as they sounded (and/or a circle of fifths) so the practicer could visualize the relationship of the notes.

Not flexible enough

Nice look, well adapted to iOS but tuner sound options limited, and the metronome function very disappointing: can’t turn off accented first beat even though there is setting for that; time signatures only the most common; and subdivisions also limited. I’m a committed amateur and need something that lets me set options, rather than feel forced to use a few more common presets.

Could be way better

I think that if you didn’t have to pay for basically everything you see it would be one of the best apps I’ve ever had! But to have to pay for a theme? That’s ridiculous! Who in their right mind would want to pay for that!? Anyways other than that it’s amazing! I can subdivide my beat when I practice and it helps me so much! I would like the payments to be off though. Imagine if you’re in a tight spot and can’t afford to be paying monthly things? How would you feel?

Great!

PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is the best metronome
I have ever used, it is very easy to use, but still people can get complex and do cool stuff with it, so them you can customize you metronome as well as other things to make practicing a breeze! I think you should get it I upgraded and it is way better! 💵=👍

Great app... BUY IT!!!!!

This is a smart idea for an app, I think that it is amazing for practice since I play the violin. Here’s a suggestion, add the time 10/8, I’m playing Hemispheres by Richard Myer. There is a point where it goes to time 10/8. That’s my thought, but buy this please and try to read this too. Thanks a bunch! 👍🏻👌🏻

Good but has problems

I love it I use it everyday for my violin practice it’s really good and it’s better than a lot and a lot of metronome apps i think it’s better than a lot of five star rated metronome apps but the only problem I have is that you need to buy and a lot of people don’t mind that but I like saving money and it ruins PracticeTunerMetronomeApp cause most of the things you have to buy

Paying

I got PracticeTunerMetronomeApp to tune my French horn and you either have to buy it or watch an add every 2 hours... that’s the MAIN REASON I got PracticeTunerMetronomeApp and a true tuning app would have different instruments to choose from because they don’t know if it’s a woodwind a brass a trumpet a tuba or whatever it is so I don’t recommend PracticeTunerMetronomeApp (especially to directors) so that’s all I have for you I bought looked at it then deleted it. 2 STARS

Worth the price

Tried several "free" apps. Very nice interface and I found it easy to use, so I bought the full version. It's worth the price even without all the extra features that I'm exploring and just learning to use.

I love this app!!!

PracticeTunerMetronomeApp helped me so much with my high school auditions. The only thing I would fix is the Pitch on several note you either can't hear them or they make a weird noise with the pitch. Other than that PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is extraordinary.

Used to be good.

I had PracticeTunerMetronomeApp for so many years and I loved it. PracticeTunerMetronomeApp WAS really really good. It had a metronome and tuner each with their own capabilities and features that made PracticeTunerMetronomeApp better than the competition and what topped it off is that PracticeTunerMetronomeApp USED TO BE FREE. Now everything is an in app purchase and I just refuse to support it when there are free alternatives. I’m not paying 2.99 for each feature I used to have.

Great

PracticeTunerMetronomeApp is great, except for one thing. This will probably be the first time you have ever heard someone say this, but they won’t let me pay them to use their product. The purchase all button in the IAP screen doesn’t work, but to buy individual upgrades, those buttons work. This is very annoying, since I want to access all the features, but it’s really their loss. They are the ones that are loosing the five dollars I was about to pay them. When they fix this, I will update my review.

ADS! Zero stars.

Why are there pop ups for OTHER PRODUCTS in an AP I PAID MONEY FOR!?! Seeing ads after I paid money for your app make me want to write Apple for a refund and delete your app. If I wanted a metronome app and have to close annoying ads ever, I could have gotten THAT for free. Do. Not. Put. Ads. In. Paid. For. Software. Unless. You. Want. Zero. Star. Reviews. Not even for “special” or “limited time”offers for your own products.

The implication that I can’t find an app when I want one is insulting, and the waving an ad in front of me when I don’t is annoying.

I will consider revising my rating when I have used PracticeTunerMetronomeApp for a year without seeing a single ad. Unlikely since I’m so annoyed with PracticeTunerMetronomeApp that I’m considering deleting it.

Could be better but worth the money.

I like PracticeTunerMetronomeApp a lot and it worth the 5$ but the only down side is you can't add accents to upbeats. Also 2/8 would be cool. Other than that I love PracticeTunerMetronomeApp has a ton of great features and would recommend to all of my friends.
