Yes, I got lured into this by an ad on instagram. I know I know I should have known better, but I thought I’d do the trial and see how it went. False advertisement all the way. It said it could identify and diagnose plants and it’s literally given me the same diagnosis for every thing and the exact same general information (to not over or under water). It’s the exact information you’ll get if you google and only read the first 2 search results. I tried the 3 day (make it longer) trial and when I canceled it still charged me. I went into my apple account to cancel so let’s see if this upcoming week charges.

I take care of my plants as if they are my babies. I started getting into planting indoor plants about 7 years ago so I’ve been through trial and error but it’s nice to know what’s wrong with my plant when it isn’t looking too good. Plantion allows me to take pictures and get a diagnosis if my plant is sickly and it gives you tips how to try to heal it. I love it!!! ✌🏼🙏🏼

I have taken multiple photos of indoor and outdoor plants that are clearly diseased or stressed and it has said “your plant is healthy” for every one of them. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that it has correctly identified a few (of many) normal outdoor plants I have. Very disappointed and not worth the money, I will be canceling.

Plantion is extremely expensive and could only identify 1 out of 10 plants I tried. It thought I had a giant sequoia in the Midwest. When I tried to diagnose plants it said they were all healthy even though one was half dead already. I think it needs a lot more work especially for being one of the most expensive apps out. And where did all the reviews come from? Clearly paid for…

I tried the free trial offer, and found it was not what I was looking for. I cancelled on the 3rd day yet still got charged. I tried writing to to the developers, completed the information requested, tried to send, and got a message saying “cannot send fix error” so it leaves me no option than to let others know.
$9.99 can amount to a substantial figure if enough people sign up for this.

Downloaded Plantion and it does nothing as it shows online. Pretty much just gave the instructions that you can look up online or on the purchased plant. Does not say or give the needed advice as it shows online with photo stating fix needed for plant. Will not be purchasing Plantion due to the information available for free. Very misleading advertising for Plantion .

It says it is free but then you download it and look in Plantion and it is free for 3 days the you have to pay for it to take care of your plants. Plantion isn’t worth it if you can only use it for 3 days ehen in the beginning it said it was free . They should say it is free for 3 days then you have to pay for it to take care of you plants . Plantion isn’t really worth getting.

I installed Plantion this morning and I’m dissatisfied with the results I got about one of my plants so I immediately tried to cancel the subscription and it’s not working. I’ve made more attempts since then and I’m still not able to cancel it. I do NOT want to pay for an app that charges $9.99 a WEEK! Please cancel the subscription ASAP.

My kids and I are enjoying nature more now that we can identify the various plants and herbs we’re encountering 😊. Thanks for creating Plantion!

Advertisement for Plantion shows that it will tell you what your plant needs such as needs Coca-Cola, or some kind of other household items to help it grow better. It doesn't! It supposed to tell us what is wrong with the plant and what we can do to improve it's health. It doesn't! It's not even identifying my plants correctly!!

Plantion 's plant identification feature has helped me expand my plant collection, as I'm now able to confidently identify plants at nurseries and plant shops.

I like to try an app before I decide if I want to buy it. I do NOT like the 3-day ‘Free’ trial where you have to give credit card info. They are banking on the fact that you’ll forget to cancel. Plantion is basically useless unless you pay for it. Am deleting.

I was able to assess my plants but it didn’t give a ton of info besides the profile of the plant. The info on the plant was helpful. but it’s 9.99 a week and I can’t figure out how to cancel my subscription. I even googled it!! Help!

Still trying to figure this program out. I want to add plants that are outside in my garden, and it keeps adding it to my main room.

it’s extremely unintuitive. you dont have an actual account so you have no way of managing or seeing what data they have. and to top the cake off they dont give any refunds i had an accidental subscription renewal to which they open state they will not be refunding me anything because all sales are final although i was never aware of the purchase. put more effort into your consumers but to anyone wondering if you should by Plantion unless you’re ready to get screwed it aint worth it

$10 a week is a bit much. Unfortunately the UI isn’t very user friendly I took photos of many plants that are sickly, browning, or had strange growths and the algorithm just says the plant is healthy. Come on how is that useful.

Came across Plantion from an ad on IG immediately went to download. Once I got into Plantion I immediately deleted it. Didn’t even bother with the free trial as I’m not paying that much either weekly or for either of the “lifetime” versions. I’ll keep to my plant groups with people that’ll give more advise than what I’m reading from reviews that Plantion will give.

Thank you so very much! This house plant looked so very good when I bought it. They told me let it go dry then water so that’s what I’ve been doing. I’m traveling today so I will take a more recent picture Wednesday.

I paid for Premium access, but I have not been getting much out of Plantion. I keep getting the same message on all my plants saying that they are healthy. The new ones I’m bringing home from the clearance section at the store are not healthy and I bought Plantion hoping it would help diagnose or give me ideas on what to do to get these plants healthy. I can’t find any information on what Premium access includes or if it’s life time or yearly. Can someone please enlighten me. Was this a one time fee? Is there a refund policy?

Plantion does not work as promised and it’s 9.99 a week!?!?!? Are they smoking something funny. Then to cancel the subscription you have yo go interview you Apple Store you can’t even cancel from Plantion . It also says it will give you a reminder before the trial period ends…. It does not! I used it once it didn’t even help with my issue and now had to pay 10 bucks for garbage! SCAM!!! Save yourself some money and use google. Just as helpful and free!!!

Yes Plantion can help with identifying things wrong with your plants BUT I’ve tried to reach out to the developer on why I’ve been charged over $9.99 a week PLUS tax. I live in Montana ! We don’t have a tax. I’m being over charged. I’ve canceled my subscription but I am still trying to reach out and get my money back especially the tax money that I should not have been charged. It’s insane.

As the title already says, it doesn’t work as advertised. When you try the plant doctor it has a hard time identifying plants and just gives you a general message about watering problem that applies to all plant, does not specifically tell you if it’s under or ever watering. If I wanted to do a self diagnoses I can always got to google and look up signs of under or over watering plants without any subscription.

The developers' comments suggest their free version (not the problematic free trial) is quite useful. In fact, there is little you can learn here that you could not find more quickly on Google. The plant ID feature, diagnosis and treatment are only available in the expensive paid version. At just under $120 a year, I can buy a lot of plants and plant care books (or use online resources). This is way overpriced. I deleted Plantion in under 30 minutes. The developer wrote and said my evaluation was untrue regarding identification as it was available for free. It appears to be true only if you are willing to sign up for a free trial. I am not, based on other user’s challenges in canceling. Treatments were suggested for free but were quite general and not specific without the diagnostic function (which was not available except in the problematic free trial). The treatments suggested were no better than what a free 30 second Google search could find. I still do Not Recommend.

Read all the reviews complaining Plantion can’t ID common plants. Did you know the Photo app on iPhones can identify plants? It works quite well. It won’t tell you how to treat a plant that is diseased though.

I saved my plant, no thanks to you. I was also charged over $200 in the course of having Plantion-- which only was opened 4 or 5 times in total. I did NOT find it helpful. The developer is clearly targeting people who are susceptible to hidden charges. Just shows up as a mysterious undocumented charge. NASTY WORK.

I saw a video add for Plantion that showed it will tell you to add cayenne pepper, milk, basil leaves, or whatever your plant needs. Plantion does not do this! It just gives extremely general information about watering and fertilizing. I could have learned this all from google. It may be a decent plant identification app, but any company that would lie like that in their advertising, I want nothing to do with. I’ve never written an app review, but people need to know Plantion does not deliver on its promise.

So far I am having the time of my life. I had another “paid” subscription and it was constantly inconsistent or incorrect. While I garden for fun and enjoyment I want to be accurate with my hobby!

I tested Plantion out to see if they knew what they’re talking about, and surprisingly enough (but not really), they were 100% on the ball. $10 a week to treat and diagnose my plants is a bit too much for my budget at the moment but if and when I can, I will definitely invest in something like this especially being a newbie in the greenery game. I plan to have loads of beautiful healthy plants thanks to Plantion.

Was pretty excited to try Plantion, went to use it and it forced me to sign up and pay for services. It offers you a free seven day trial after which point they start charging you $10 a week… Yes $10 a week!!!!! That is more than any streaming app out there. In addition to that, I was charged before my seven day trial was up. When I went back to read their little fine print, it says that it offers you a free, seven day trial, but if you don’t cancel the subscription within the first 24 hours after signing up, you’re going to get charged regardless. This is such a misleading disgusting and dishonest thing to do. not once has Plantion properly identified any issues that I am having, nor has it properly identified any plants. Absolutely do not recommend Plantion. Don’t waste your money, don’t get scammed! I am just appalled by this. I really want my money back.

Plantion works fine for plant identification but it doesn’t really help with information on plant care. All the information provided has the same information. For example, if the issue is water related it tells what to look at for both over and under watered plants. It doesn’t tell me what each plant needs as far as the individual plant itself! Wish I hadn’t purchased Plantion- it isn’t helpful at all! 😣

I’m not willing to pay $10/week for an app like this, or $50 for a one time payment. Extremely overpriced. Be aware, there is no free version, only a 3 day free trial of the paid version. And let’s be real… 3 days is all?

After the developer response I double checked. Again, Plantion is only “free for usage” if you subscribe (per apples terms) to a 3 day free trial of the paid version. Otherwise you cannot get past the subscription wall.

The developer response of “…the subscription is not required to get access to functionality” is 100% untrue. Subscription = 3 day free trial then $9.99/week.

Ripoff.

Thorough amount of information / origin and plant care. So nice to know names and where the should be placed. All my questions were answered in the care section. Now I can make a watering and fertilizing chart. Thank you!

You might as well throw some problems in a hat and pick one. It would be just as accurate. Took several pictures of the same plant and it gave a different problem time. Repeated same results on several other plants. And the answers it does give are extremely vague, for example, “watering issue”, could be too much or too little. Completely useless app for anything plant health related. Huge waste of $10.

I bought it from a lady who had it in water to root it. It showed Tony root beginnings, so I put it in potting soil today. Since I thought having it in water, it might need soil like the Miracle Grow soil with nutrients. Should I leave it in the soil or put it back in water until the roots grow bigger?

We were blessed enough to buy a home with of variety of different plants in various garden beds. I know little about plants and the previous owner was unaware of what many of them were. I am creating a list of each type of plant and learning to care for them. I also can't wait to use it when the time comes to sell to educate the future homeowners on the treasurers they will be receiving! I can say, "Oh, look at this Fuzzy Deutzia!" And sound so smart. Haha

As many other reviews have started, Plantion is great for identifying plants and sending you reminders about when to water them. However, the advertisement about curating a plan based on the individual needs of each plant is completely false. The only thing it tells you is it’s either being overwatered or underwatered and doesn’t give you an action plan as stated in the advertisement. I’ve never had the AI tool actually work either which is interesting bc that’s their tool to lure you to Plantion.

Is wonderful to finally be able to identify all these plants and know so much about them with just a click of a button I’m a landscaper and it’s hard to know all of the plants names. It is very very very handy to be able to have this tool, I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time thank you

Makes taking care of plants easy. I can put them where they want to be without guessing and testing locations. I know just how to water and care for them too

This is the best app for new gardeners, tree huggers and even the pros..! It seems to always be on point with the search if you don’t know what something is ..! I just walk around and if I see something that I like and don’t know what it is I just point my PLANTATION CAMERA AND SHOOT, and then I get the right answer 100% of the time..!

I bought this on the spur of the moment without reviewing first. Huge mistake as Im now out of $50. Plantion doesnt work at all. I take a picture of our plants and then Plantion asks me which plant it is? Isnt that why I just purchased Plantion ? I have only had Plantion for 30min and realized there is no way to request a refund since I purchased the lifetime version. I feel so stupid. I dont recommend Plantion to anyone unless you already know everything there is to know about plants. And make sure to always select a trial version!
