I don’t remember when I joined but I paid when I joined and then later , don’t know how long , I paid again. Therefore I think I am paid for 2 years. NOTE: plant identifier I have taken several pictures of plants I did not know their correct name and they are not in my collection. There was : Spider fern , false clover (inOxalis family ,Mexican Bird of Paradise , coreopsis - several varieties. Pic not in collection. On the Corepsis- all came back as Marigolds. There is a big difference between Coreopsis and Marigold leaves !! There are a few more that I can’t remember that are not in my collection. I was so excited to get PlantIdentification as we are into gardening snd always looking for different plants. We have 2 now that we don’t know what are. I hope in the future you can help us more identifying plants AND LEAVE THEM IN MY COLLECTION page. When I take pictures on PlantIdentification, the picture does not go to “my picture camera roll” so I then lose them. There is one I really want to know about but your app did not register it snd it is not blooming yet, I have some unnamed cuttings !! Thank you and I await a reply with an explanation of why my collection pictures are not there and also what to do when you mis-identify what I sent. EXAMPLE: the difference between Coreopsis and Marigolds. Tks

I am looking for an app to help identify all the varieties of Hosta in my yard I don’t know the names of. PlantIdentification does identify them as a Hosta every time but does not tell me the variety name it is. For example Hosta ‘Sum and Substance’. I even tried paying for the membership to see if more information was provided. I tested on Hosta varieties I knew all came up as “Hostas, Plantation Lilies, Giboshi.” With 70 species of Hosta and 3000 varieties PlantIdentification won’t narrow your search enough.

Additionally to learn more about the plants PlantIdentification directs you to Wikipedia.

Overall it Identifies the plants but don’t pay extra for PlantIdentification in my opinion.

The description indicated that “premium features” would be available with subscribing or paying a fee. However it seems that premium features refer to getting more than 3 uses out of PlantIdentification . I used the same plant for 3 submissions to see what it was, and it gave me 3 different guesses—none of which were correct. I tried a fourth time using another picture and was not able to use PlantIdentification anymore. The free version of PlantIdentification seems only useful if you want to identify a plant 3 times in your life. And even then, the identifications were all wrong. I’m disappointed and deleting PlantIdentification from my phone. I’d like to know if I have to pay to get use out of an app. Then I can make a decision to pay or not.

Unfortunately I have a hard time with PlantIdentification. 8 out of 10 times it doesn’t work. Instead of identifying the plant it prompts me to purchase the subscription. I have already purchased the subscription. I’ve tried clicking to purchase it again and it tells me I’m already subscribed. So I go around in a circle trying to identify the plant while PlantIdentification simply prompts me over and over to purchase it even though I’ve already purchased it. I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it. If I do that it will work once before giving me the run around again. So I’m constantly deleting it and reinstalling fir each si gem use. Not fun.

No prior info to the end user that PlantIdentification will stop making identification unless payment is made! This APPS abilities are superior but whoever has set up their switch-and-bait tactics has never heard of honesty. So sad to see they represent themselves as a free service only to deceive! Had they, upon opening PlantIdentification , stated that one had 3or4 free identifications so the user could make sure their claims to be accurate and then, after that trial, a fee would be applied, I might have later signed on and paid. But now, after deception, never! What a load of crap and what a waste of time.
Good/Excellent product but very poor management and, even worse, ownership.
Sad!

At first I thought I could have at least limited access and that it was optional to pay. I was allowed maybe 3 free identifications. Was very impressed! It takes you to a Wikipedia page. Seems very accurate. Now PlantIdentification is demanding that I subscribe. I keep hitting a pay wall, requesting $4/month or $30/year. Yowch! I’d be happy to pay a (reasonable) one time fee to “purchase” use of PlantIdentification , or a more reasonable annual fee (like apps that charge $5/year), because I think PlantIdentification is awesome, but not $30. Even most magazines, that are mailed to my house, only cost $10/year. If they charged less, they might get more subscribers.

PlantIdentification is very useful, however I’ve had to take pics of the same pic several times and it will give me a different. Yo be clear I am identifying different palms that we have so it’s understandable. Other than that I’d give it 4 1/2 for a first time user. My question is when trying to identify palms, and most look alike, what’s the best way to shoot the shot?!? Closer to the root, closer to the leaf, far off for full shot, etc.?

PlantIdentification works extremely well. I have never found another app like this to actually work at all, while this one works perfectly. The first 3 plants were volunteers in my yard and it helped me correctly identify all of them. I am very happy with the results. Only reason not putting 5 stars is I hate when apps pretend to be free only to be essentially unusable without paying. Not sure if I would pay to upgrade because with the amount of paywalls and self promotion I don’t expect the paid version to be free of annoying interruptions

You’ll be very thrilled with PlantIdentification. The only negative side I have found is you cannot select directly from your personal photos. You have to go into the camera and then select your photo roll. It would be nice to have that option on the from screen as not ever picture looked at will be from the camera. Other than this, it seems to be very accurate (North America is my only area I’ve used this) and gives a fairly accurate suggestion list for a very wide variety of plants, flowers and fungi.

This is a great reference guide. Extremely easy to use. The results are super quick and accurate. Way easier than keying it out in a field guide (although that’s always fun to do when time allows) 🙂

4 stars instead of 5: I’m not sure how many IDs are allowed on the free version., but I do know at some point it will make you upgrade to the paid version. I hope the limit of plant IDs resets on a daily basis...if so, PlantIdentification will definitely become a staple!! I’ll update my review and rating once I find out.

Wow! Just absolutely wow! PlantIdentification is everything it advertised to be in more I have used in abused it and it is not only stood the test that impressed me every time. Kudos to the developers in those who put this together it is not only awesome but easy to use in free thank you so much I definitely recommend it to everyone and anyone I see

I really don’t ever review apps but making an exception for this one. I tried a lot of the other popular plant identification apps and was disappointed that you either had to subscribe/pay, had a limit, or the results were a bunch of similar looking plants to the one you took a photo of. PlantIdentification has correctly identified everything I’ve photographed on the first attempt and better yet I don’t have a limit or sign up for a subscription plan. Excellent work Devs, been enjoying learning more about the plants growing around me!

Are use PlantIdentification when a neighbor gave me some clippings that his plan didn’t know the name of it and neither did he and found out the name of it and how to take care of it and where to plant it great app worth it don’t waste your money on buying any apps this one is perfect you can identify any plant bites leaf.👍🏻

I love PlantIdentification. I use it when I am out somewhere and see a plant that I absolutely must have, which happens often, I can just use this fabulous app to find out the name of the plant!! If my plants at home start looking not so good, I just go to my nifty app to find out what is wrong with it and what I need to do to fix it. Love it!!! Get it now and you will be glad to did.

Super accurate ID even when given difficult photos. I don’t know if their is a cap on how many you can do, but after 13 or so ID’s I was still able to continue with no problems. The ads do not ruin PlantIdentification as well. I Write maybe one review a year, only when I feel like PlantIdentification or destination blows me away. Bravo devs and team!

I got PlantIdentification while we were on a trip and had fun impressing our friends with my “knowledge” about local plants! Hey, this is so easy to use and much quicker than trying to compare what you saw with pictures in a book. I’ve always been interested in identifying wildflowers and other plants when we’re out on a hike. I’m looking forward to using it more when my family visit me.

I just got PlantIdentification first it’s installed quickly and took a picture it identified the plant and info on plant all within one minute. This was my second choice. Because first choice had like 3 or 4 apps similar to each other and a lot of mumbo and jumbo before even installing PlantIdentification . I like an app that’s quick and gets the job done. I never write reviews this is why.🤣

I don’t know what I would have done if it were not for PlantIdentification! Thank you who ever come up with it. I’ve planted things over the years not knowing what was what as time went on..The one suggestion I have (unless I’m missing it) is if I need to know how to care for a particular flower, im not see this in the selection. I here now and about to check again..maybe it’s there and I’m just overlooking it.

I've tried every single plant identification app on PlantIdentification store, this one is the best. I went to the restaurant the other day, and pointed the camera against a lucky bamboo. Not only did PlantIdentification recognized it immediately, it also showed the Latin name of the plant, which is Pleomele braunii. That's cool! The speed of recognition is amazing - I was on cellular in the restaurant. The only downside, I have to say, is that the detail of each plant could be improved. I'm pretty sure that's an easier job comparing to the amazing identification job the developers have done so far. Great job!

I had wondered about a large plant we had in our yard. By using PlantIdentification, I found out the name of it. It identified it correctly. I noticed seeds that were sprouting near this plant and wondered if they were part of it. Upon investigating further, I got my answer to that question plus was able to enjoy the plant because I could investigate it more. I also took other pictures of flowers I knew the answer to so I could see if PlantIdentification could identify them. Sure enough it was right. It also saves the pictures for you.

All of those 5 Star reviews are fake. Apple needs to take this bad app off their site. Took focused pic of bloom, results say nothing. Half hour later take pic of another bloom....now they want money. Seems very much like a bait and charge you for what? Curiosity will waste your money. Update: over 24 hours later and no “Results”. Waste of time.

PlantIdentification is not reliable. I am a Master Gardener and PlantIdentification has misidentified two out of three plants I’ve photographed for it. I am very disappointed to have spent $4.99 for one month of use and want my money back, but I don’t know how to go about doing that. Does anyone out there know how I can do that?

PlantIdentification does the job at explaining plants and WEEDS when I though got into poison ivy PlantIdentification said differently than the other apps out there.
Advice to company see if pikes or a plant nursery will sponsor ads instead having to pay for unlimited identifying plants/ weeds.
Everything else is great.

I've been using it for 2 weeks, it's great to use. I use it most often on weekends to identify different types of plants. It has the ability to identify most plants as quickly as possible without any application comparable.

My father got me a rose and I took a picture of it on PlantIdentification. I did not know what a rose was so I taped on the results and it told me so much information that there was almost too much information!!!!!!!🥳

It's great that I found it thanks to it I know more plants. Just put the camera into it will automatically tell you the name of that plant. more than that it can also display latin letters correctly
