This game has lots of ads as you would expect nowadays unfortunately, but, turning off your wifi does get rid of them. The game is fun and satisfying, but I do have a couple of complaints. The only noise in the game is a short sound effect when you finish a level. That’s it. No music and no painting sounds. My other complaint is that in the bonus levels through the tab on the side where you color pictures, it only lets you color the correct sections with each color. If there is a gift box for example that is purple with yellow ribboning, even if you take the yellow color and hold on the box that should be purple, it doesn’t let you color it, but it does let you color the section you didn’t hold on; the yellow section

its extremely difficult to move onto the next level , whereas i cant even see the next level button it just shows me the new color i made

You have WAY too many ads. I spend more time watching ads then playing the game. I’d be willing to purchase no ads if that were even an option

Too many ads!! After 5 moves another ad pops up, it’s like getting a sample of the game on demo. Super frustrating and time consuming.

It wouldn’t let me use the brush and wouldn’t tell me how. Restarted PlayColors 3 times and redownloaded it once. Still broken and unusable. Please add instructions (even if super basic and easy)

Ads pop up during levels. That’s not fun

I enjoyed the game until they decided to add an ad if you wanted to use a already combined color, that’s how you lose the very small player base you have 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅

It’s too many ads and for some reason it doesn’t have a restart button(I have to swipe out the whole game to restart the level)

The game is fun and all when you get to play it, but there is WAYY too many ads. You can’t finish a level without getting at least two ads! That is ridiculous!

I gave it 2 stars instead of one because it is a fun game
It needs no concentration and it’s a good game to numb your mind a bit and unwind
However I don’t want to pay for no adds I’ll wait for the few seconds to be able to close the add however the amount is way to much !!
I get a add in middle if every game and at the end of every game
If you don’t plan on paying money for no adds prepare to be annoyed more that the amount that you enjoy the game

The first level paint would not work for me. So sad that I could not play.

I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I love it, but the levels are kind of repetitive. One suggestion I have is to maybe make the pyramid more than 3 Colours, or make the cross colours also more colours. Overall a great game though.

They pop up every 60 seconds even if you are in the middle of a level. Dont bother unless you plan on paying to have them removed

If you pay for no forced ads then you shouldn’t get forced ads in the middle of the game. Upsetting… and just keeps people from app purchases. 🤬😡

The game is fun, and would be great if it was filled with ads every 15 seconds. i also cannot play it without a wifi connection, like in the car, because the developers dont want you to get away with playing without making them money. it genuinely ruins the fun for me because i cant even get through a level without getting super long ads

i know that games these days have a crazy amount of ads but this is to a whole new level. i’m used to watching them and then playing the game for a bit but they pop up literally every 15-20 seconds, it’s infuriating. such a disappointment too; the game doesn’t require any brain power which is what i wanted when i downloaded it, but the constant ads popping up is so annoying, you barely get to play the game!

Every ten seconds, you get a 30 second unskippable ad. The whole app is completely unplayable because it’s more ad than game

Multiple ads per level. Makes it less fun

The game itself is so fun but I could not keep it because there are ads every single level, that go on for 15 seconds and you have to x out of them like five different times before they actually go away. Sometimes the ad pops up while you're in the middle of a level. It doesn't make me want to download PlayColors , it makes me want to scream.

I don’t mind watching an ad at the end of each level that’s expected. But literally every time I change colors is too much. Other than that the game is relaxing and satisfying.

There are ads every 2 “moves” within the game as well as between every level. You cannot turn off data to avoid ads. You will either pay to have them removed, or spend more time watching ads than actually playing the game.

Its pretty fun but theres a ton of ads and i mean a ton, every time i put a few colors down, Ad, when i finish a color thing, Ad, when i do anything, AD, COME ON WHY DOES THIS GAME NEED ADS? COEM ON other than that its okay

Waaaaayy too many adds. You get two in the middle of a round, not even between them. They keep interrupting you and it’s completely unplayable. A you can’t play with Wi-Fi turned off.

this game was fun! but the ads went from after each level, to multiple times within a level... i would be mid finishing a color and an ad will come up and cut me off. it's way too much, not even worth it anymore.

I like this game! The gameplay is varied enough that I don’t get bored, and the “prizes” aren’t items that are necessary for completing the game. I also like the inclusion of the coloring pages! I think it’s a nice touch that makes it more fun and motivates the player to complete more regular levels.
Excessive ads in free-to-play games like this normally don’t bother me. However, I take issue with this game because the ads interfere with the gameplay. As far as I can tell, the ads in this game play almost randomly with no fixed amount of time between them, and no matter what’s happening in the game. This means that, for example, I can be in the middle of moving my brush to a section when my movement is interrupted by an ad - then the game mistakes my brush stopping for picking an area to color, and I can screw up half my progress in what is already a short mini-game. Most apps with a lot of ads like this play them, for example, every time a level is completed. This way, the user knows to expect the ads, and they don’t change anything about the game itself. I think something like that would improve the user experience of PlayColors a lot. The games are short enough that you would probably see a similar number of ads relative to how long you play, just with less disruption of the game itself.
Tl;dr, the ads are unpredictable and it gets in the way of the game.

This is such a fun, relaxing game that I think has some educational aspect to it as well with learning color theory. However.. it is riddled with just about constant ads, which I understand and am willing to pay the 2.99 it takes to remove them. Even worse though, once I did purchase this option I still got ads, thought it could have been that the transaction hadn’t processed, I checked and it had. I decided to delete PlayColors , thinking it could have been some kind of bug, and redownloaded, which I lost my progress because of. I tried to restore purchases and was met only with a loading screen. I then tried to just purchase no ads again which led to the same, ever-spinning loading screen. I am disappointed and hope that this is just a bug or something that can be fixed :(

I really like playing this game. It’s really satisfying coloring and matching the colors. The only complaint I have is, some of the colors are not correct, like when u color fruit. Like I don’t think peaches are pink, and even though one of the colors is “apple green” you paint it on a pear. But I won’t hold it against the game.

The concept is fun and relaxing, but the amount of ads isn’t. There’s at least two-three ads each level and one after each level. Also asks if you want to claim a gift after you rack up enough points (at the cost of an ad), but will give you an ad either way. Not necessarily worth it unless you like ads or plan on paying for the ad-free version.

I do not recommend this game because the ads are back to back every 5-10 seconds. (Yes I took the time to see how long until an ad.) it’s not worth it’s, and super annoying. The game might be satisfying, but definitely not worth it because of the ads. Only how to get rid of them is to pay for it. Usually games like that you can put on airplane mode and play to make the ads go away not this one. It’s so freaking stupid. If you are that money hungry say it.😒

I was trying to enjoy this game, but the amount of ads are absolutely absurd! To have an ad play at the end of each level is one thing, but to have several play during one level is beyond me. Then to have to exit out of each ad a million times makes you realize you’re not playing the game you downloaded, you’re being forced to watch ads!

i really really do love this game, but eventually everyone will get sick of the ads and undownload it. every 20-30 seconds there’s an ad when i just wanna play the dang game. i didn’t download an app to watch ads

I swear to god man, there is absolutely NO REASON there should be an ad popping up every FIVE SECONDS in the middle of me playing a game, and I should not have to pay to have ads removed. This game would’ve been so good if I could’ve played each level without being interrupted by 10 million ads.

Was playing just fine off cellular but all of a sudden am told the game needs it as I start getting ads again.

This game is great. It really helps with see what colors mix together to make different colors but there are far too many ads. I could even complete one level with being bombarded with ads!

Its super fun, and I love to mix colors, but I don't always have paint to do it with. I purchased the remove ads and it quit working about half an hour after purchasing it. It was very disappointing. I typically don’t write reviews, but I figured I would because thats $3 down the drain. Im super disappointed in this. I even tried to press “restore purchases” and it said it worked, but I still got ads. I tried restarting PlayColors , didn't work, then I tried to restart my phone, it also didn't do anything. Definitely not something on my side.

I only rated apps when I LOOOVE or HATEEE them… and I LOVE this game. It’s easyish (I mean I’m less than level 30) but it’s very fun and satisfying.
(Not really related) but I dye my hair and have for over a decade, so I love mixing colors and seeing the results I haven’t tried that with hair but this game got me tempted 🤣 SOOOO many pretty colors ❤️

This game is almost only ads. Each level you’re watching 2-3 ads and you have to skip EACH ad 3-4 times because of all the pop ups in each. Each level only takes 1-3 minutes to pass so your watching 2-3 adds every 1-3 minutes. I would not recommend wasting your time on this game.

There are way too many ads. When im in the middle of coloring a block, there is an ad. When i am dipping the brush, there is an ad. Otherwise, i think its a good game. The graphics are good and the gameplay is oddly addicting. I would give this game a five star review if there were less ads.

Update: I was playing again after a little break and you are not going to believe what happened. I was playing as usual and an ad popped up. Normal for mobile games. The ad was over and i continued playing. Not more than a minute, A SINGULAR MINUTE, later, another ad popped up. And it was the same one i had previously viewed seconds before. Annoyed, i waited less patiently and then skipped it. I then continued thinking surely it wouldn't happen again as quickly as it had previously. I thought wrong. It happened again, as quickly as previously. The same ad again, waited with way less patience and continued playing. I hope this doesn't happen again, GAME DEVELOPERS!

I couldn’t get through the first 10 levels because of the amount of ads.

I get it, ads keep the game free and I have a fairly decent ad tolerance for free games but this is too much. There’s no reason I need to get 3 ads in the middle of a single level, not including the ones between levels. It’s also level 8, I can’t imagine how many ads you’ll see by the time you get to longer levels.

Additionally if you make earning every single awards/gifts require watching an ad, at least have the decency to not force the ad if I choose to forfeit the prize. What’s the point of asking other than to show me that you’re deliberately ignoring my choice to force the ad?

Can’t even comment much on the game. It could be relaxing, I suppose, but if I can’t even get through a level without ads then it defeats the purpose. Especially with the press and hold to make the paint pen work, it slows down game play, and the ads pop up before you barely get a chance to color a more than one section.

This game is fun, but if you don’t pay for no ads there’s so many you can barely play the game. I mean like at least 3 adds in the middle of every single level with one at the end. It’s terrible. So unless you wanna pay to play with no ads don’t get it. Some people don’t realize when too many ads just hurts their game, a few is fine, or even after each level, but why in the world would you put them in the middle of all the levels multiple times.

I downloaded PlayColors 2 days ago, on Friday. I bought the no-ad pack Saturday. I gave it some time because apple said the purchase was pending: fair. This evening I go back to try and see if it worked in game, but I am just met with more ads. I try to see if pressing it works, but no. It just tried to make me re-buy it. Honestly annoyed

I like this game because you do not need Wi-Fi and it’s free and it keeps me entertained

To be fair it is fun but there are so many ads that it is unbearable. Doesn’t matter what you do. Like I can’t handle this to the point where whenever I start to play it, it should be satisfying and relaxing but all it does is annoy me because the amount of ads

I really like the whole concept behind the game. However, getting an ad every 45 seconds really takes you out of it. I understand they need to make money to support PlayColors , but having an ad pop up while you’re in the middle of a level is incredibly annoying. At the very least, please just have it pop up at the end of the level.

I would’ve considered paying money to have no ads, but it just having them come up SO FREQUENTLY puts a terrible taste in my mouth. I do not want to support something that’s trying to annoy me into spending money.

I love this game because it’s satisfying to see the colors flow together. I’m just a broke college student and can’t afford the ad free version so I play with the ads. Even made a drinking game out of it. I drink every time an ad comes on the screen. I’m on level 25 and 3 beers and I’m drunk. But really it’s annoying. Do you really need to mix 2 colors and get an ad? No! Not saying I will never play this again but it seems like the creators are craving money.

Would be fun if i could turn of my wifi and play it instead of seeing PlayColors needs wifi when it actually doesnt. I first played without wifi and it worked fine but I chose to watch and ad, then tried to turn it off my wifi again to keep seeing the same thing saying it needs wifi. You liarssss

Overall, it’s a fairly fun game but you can’t do much as there’s so many ads. I’m seeing others are complaining about it but yet no changes had been made to lessen the amount of ads you get within less than 30 seconds. I just got the game back and have only been able to complete two levels as the amount of ads I received started to irritate me. I got an ad when I opened PlayColors , an ad because I held the brush too long, an ad for completing level one, an ad in the middle of level two and an ad upon completion of said level. Honestly all it did was remind me why I deleted the game in the first place. As I said, it’s a fun game but the ads are simply annoying and I wouldn’t recommend downloading if you rage easily over small things.

The game itself is fun and relaxing, but not only are there the usual ads at the bottom of the screen and after completing a level, there are ads IN THE MIDDLE OF THEM too. Not to mention you have to watch ads to claim… little gift things, no idea what they are, and they’re constantly asking you to watch ads for extra prizes, and they show little ads off to the side on the “start next level” screen. I don’t blame them for trying to make money where possible but this is to an extreme and ridiculous extent. This amount of ads actually makes me want to NOT buy the ad free option and just uninstall it’s so insane.

I’m giving this 3 stars since I love the game and enjoy how you get to match the colors but I have only one complaint: TOO MANY ADS! I begin a round, an ad comes up I’m about to paint another color, an ad comes up. I finish the round, what comes up? I don’t know, it looks like ANOTHER AD!
I’d be fine with an ad between rounds but when it’s before, during, and after almost everything in the game, it’s very frustrating and the fact that there’s so many just disrupts the gameplay and almost makes it pay to play just to remove the ads.

I like the game it can be very soothing. But per one turn you can get one to two ads (depending on how long the level is) which in my opinion doesn’t make the game worth it. If I have to clean 3-4 X’s and close a bunch of pop up App Store things it makes it less soothing and relaxing…. It makes it more annoying!!! Oh and don’t try playing on airplane mode to avoid ads… the game needs WiFi!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 so if you like to watch ads this is your game!!!

First of all I already deeply hate games that have an ad after every round, puzzle, or whatever. But this game has at least 5 ads every level. It’s absurd and borderline unplayable. the concept of the game is fun and that’s why i gave 3 stars, but the ads made me delete the game after only 4 levels. PLEASE fix this and I’d definitely download and play non stop. Until the ads lessen, there’s no real point in downloading this game, so don’t.

I understand we are playing a free game but this ads never stop. Mid way through a level you get an ads, you mix two colors and to be able to use the new color there is an ad. Once the level is complete there is an ad. Got to level four & u watched at least 20 minutes of ads with only five minutes game play. If there was an ad only once after the level I’d complete I would understand but three four times within the same level?? That’s horrible!

Fun to start, got hooked right away. Then noticed I kept doing the same color combinations repeatedly. I am on level 535 but have only unlocked 427 colors. It’s wasting time making you do the same levels over and over and over so they can push as many ads as they can to try and get you to pay for them to stop, as well as extending their app usage time by a lot.

I enjoy this game but there’s way too many ads! I don’t mind an ad after each level. But the fact that ads constantly pop up in the middle of completing a level is ridiculous. In order to dip the brush in the newly mixed color requires you to watch an ad as well. Sometimes I’m in the middle of coloring when a stupid ad suddenly pops up. Another issue, many times the ads get stuck on a black screen or they simply stay frozen causing me to have to quit the stupid app which leads me to have to start the level all over again because it doesn’t save your progress at all so if you get an ad that gets stuck in the middle of playing a level, you have to force close PlayColors and restart the stupid level again.

I love this game lots. It’s worth purchasing the ad free version in my opinion. I love how satisfying it is to mix the colors and I love that you get to paint pictures with the colors. I wish however there also was a way to have all colors you created available to color it in colors you’d like rather than copying what it tells you what colors to paint it. But it’s not a huge deal to me. I also love how there is a list of all colors you created and how many there are left to find.

I love the game and I have been playing for hours. I hate ads so much so whenever I have the choice to pay and not see ads I do that. I paid, and yet ads keep coming in my face!! Why! I don’t click on ad buttons to gain extra coins or anything. They just come up in the middle of gameplay for no good reason despite having paid, especially when I click on new colors while playing a level. This is just too much. I stopped playing and uninstalled because of the ads everywhere despite having paid. That’s just unacceptable to me.
