I downloaded GoingSolo SPECIFICALLY for the matching feature after seeing an ad for it on Instagram. Nowhere was it said that it would be a paid feature, not in GoingSolo description, not on the ad, nowhere. I had to find out about it after I had already downloaded GoingSolo , created my account, and given them all my information. I would never have downloaded it if I had known first that this was a paid feature. I feel like I was lured into a situation I didn't wanna be in. I hope you can be more clear with your future users.

This idea is really good, as it addresses a problem that many solo travelers face — we want to meet other travelers and it can be hard to meet people as a solo traveler, especially people who maybe don’t like or feel too old for party hostels to meet people. However, GoingSolo is clearly unfinished, and paying for GoingSolo did not improve my experience with searching for other travelers. I’m glad that there’s finally an app for solo travelers, but the user experience needs to be refined to be worth paying any money for it.

As a solo traveler, it can be very overwhelming knowing how to start planning for your next vacation, but downloading GoingSolo is STEP ONE! And having GoingSolo allows you to have an experience you won’t ever have such as meeting other solo travelers with similar destinations as you. I don’t like having to book online tours because you are confined to a strict schedule and there are spots where you want to stay longer, yet you have a limited time for, and there are other spots that don’t seem enticing to visit. Downloading GoingSolo makes your solo traveling experience more memorable by taking a risk and meeting new people. I think that’s the point of traveling.

So excited to start using GoingSolo as I’m traveling solo a lot this next year! The concept is awesome, only thing is I want to learn how to search for peoples users. Super easy to connect with people near you and super fun social media without the pressure! Definitely recommend trying it out!

Thank god someone finally created something that allows you to meet other solo travelers so easily. I was solo traveling through SE Asia and met one of my best friends through GoingSolo, we traveled through Thailand together🥹 Now I use GoingSolo on all my travels to meet the best people:) highly recommend!

Going Solo is a must-have for solo travelers. It helps you find people nearby to hang out with, so you’re never really alone. You can plan meetups, join groups, or connect with others before your trip even starts. Super handy for making travel more fun and social!

Going solo is an AMAZING app. It connects you to other solo travelers from all around the world and for only $4, gives you a Tinder-like platform to like/dislike other travelers, message them, and even follow them on instagram. It’s perfect for people who want to solo travel but who also like making connections along the way :)

Such a great app to meet other people and it is is very easy to use! You can set up trips all over the world and chat with others also traveling there. Would 100% recommend to both experienced travelers and beginners!

GoingSolo is literally perfect for solo travelers! I love to travel so knowing that i can make friends aboard who have a common interest is amazing! I can travel stress free not having to worry if ill make friends or not.

I just downloaded GoingSolo, and so far I have been nothing but pleased with what it has to offer. I would recommend using this if you solo travel often or are planning too, it’s a great way to document your journeys and meet new people along the way!!!

This is such a well made app and such a unique idea! It’s different from others, and I can definitely see myself using this all when solo traveling. All the features are amazing, and the way it’s designed is super safe for all travelers! Definitely deserves more recognition !

I’ve always wanted a way to interact with other travelers that were looking to make new travel friends! It’s so amazing to see who else is traveling in the same cities as you. I feel that it makes traveling so much more exciting and I cannot wait to see the amazing people that GoingSolo connects me with! I feel that the travel community is so important and full of so many people with common interests so it’s great to have a way to bring all those people together. I think a great amount of new friendships and memories will be made through GoingSolo ☺️

GoingSolo is great for making new friends or meeting new people when traveling- I also like the groups where you can coordinate with others and get recommendations and advice from other travelers (like, what’s everyone’s favorite gelato spot in Rome?). Looking forward to using it on my future trips! 🫶🏼✈️

I love solo traveling but it can always be a little nerve wracking and intimidating to make friends on trips but this makes it so easy and approachable! It also makes you feel safe cause it’s a big group visiting each city and you know you’ll be safe with them.

So excited about GoingSolo!! Providing a way for solo travelers to connect with each other and having a social media posting aspect, Going Solo has a little bit of everything! I’m so excited to continue using it on my travels, especially to meet other people while abroad.

I never thought there would be an app like this but i’m so glad I came across it! I’m starting my solo traveling journey soon, and a big part of it is that I want to meet people from all around the world and experience those conversations and friendships. GoingSolo is a great place to start:)

love that I can see who around me is a traveller- specially when I just moved to a new city! you can connect w people going so you have an idea of people around you specially if it’s ur first time traveling by yourself they also can provide recs of good hostels etc. I think it would be awesome if we could connect our instagram or link to it!

I’m so excited to connect with other solo travelers on GoingSolo! I don’t like to be confined to traveling on a tour where you have to follow their daily schedule without the option of spontaneity especially when traveling abroad. I also like being able to ask questions of other travelers that have just been to locations that I want to travel to.

I love the features GoingSolo has. I’ve been on other travel apps and this is one of the only ones that I can add captions to post, that I can add and view other people post without the distractions instagram has. It’s a nice community where everyone has something in common (travel) . It’s nice to see the plans and see other people who has visited give advice to those going. 🌎💕

What a great idea. Some of the most memorable parts of travel are the people you meet along the way and make the memories with. GoingSolo can make your solo trip that much more special by meeting that specific person that you vibe with before you even get to your location. I will be using GoingSolo for the rest of my travels to connect with more beautiful souls in the world I may have never gotten to meet. Absolutely fabulous.

I’m an experienced solo traveler, but very introverted and still a bit intimidated by meeting other travelers while abroad. I typically rely on hostel social events to meet others, but as I expand to traveling to countries that are a bit more out of my comfort zone, I’d love to make buddies to share experiences and stay safe with. GoingSolo seems like a great tool to do this and get inspired by other solo travelers. It’s a nice set up already, and I can’t wait to see more people join!

GoingSolo is fantastic as it offers so much flexibility when planning to meet people. You can make plans to meet up with others well in advance, but also have the possibility to hop into a group spontaneously. GoingSolo is super easy to use and love that everyone gets to make a profile so we have an idea of what each other are like before meeting! As someone new to solo travelling, GoingSolo makes me feel reassured that when I want to be social I’ll be able to meet others :)

As a kid I dreamed of living all over the world. My grandmother was definitely the reason for this, as she was an incredibly adventurous, and somewhat wild woman. As I got older, my dreams were criticized because “that’s just not the way life is supposed to be.” GoingSolo changed everything. It goes way beyond the idea of traveling, though it’s obviously wonderful for that, but even just purely for the inspiration you get from others living the life you were told didn’t exist. It’s beautiful, and I can’t wait to get out there

As someone who started solo traveling about a year ago, I found it really hard to meet other people unless I stayed in a hostel! I love doing work exchange programs and using the Going Solo app was the perfect way for me to meet new people. There’s also a feature that allows you to join/ create groups for travel that is super helpful. I would recommend that everyone exchanges instagrams and phone numbers to help with safety. This is a great way to meet people, especially for those who are a bit more introverted.

GoingSolo is incredible! As a solo traveler i have to say that it’s hard to find some important recommendations online and because of going solo i’ve been able to communicate with so helpful people around the world. It’s really easy to find plans whenever you are in a new place and i’ve met the best people ever (including one of my best friends). GoingSolo has become my to-go app whenever i’m traveling! La recomiendo a tanto viajeros solos que busquen hacer amigos o a amigos que busquen planes :)
