Please spare yourself the dissatisfaction knowing that it will only work half the time. It keeps giving me the same message over and over again and it's not even trying to generate anything, and when it does it's only at a certain time before you are sitting there pressing the button to generate a story over and over again. Half the time when a story is generated, the last paragraph will be unfinished leaving the paragraph in the middle of a sentence.

I liked it better when Ai made the pictures more pretty and more detailed now it only makes it 3D it does not look very nice.
I would like it better if Ai was smarter.

And it should give more room for character details 50 letters and spaces is just not enough room it often gets my character’s wrong because there’s not enough space
And there needs to be more space for story details 750 letters and spaces is no enough space ether at least 1000 would be better.

Also one more thing you should make it so if you delete a story you have like 30 days to go and bring it back like pictures and if you want it deleted for good right away you can go to the retrieval area and fully delete it so it’s gone. Absolute garbage. You pay to have an ai write you a short story. I came here from dungeon ai hoping this would be better. It’s not. Minimal input from you. I might as well have done the world a good thing and gave my money to an addict. I feel tricked. I didn’t just Willy nilly download this. I researched novel ai. Everywhere I looked, people talked about creating their own story with a little help from ai. Ok, so I try it. After taking my money like a pakastani microsoft employee, I find that I barely have any say in the story. And it ends in a few “chapters” of witch are about three paragraphs long each. I am so unbelievably angry and disappointed.

I’m really disappointed. I read all the good reviews and was very excited to see what this came up with. I chose my genre, artwork, created 2 characters, and wrote a plot. After I push create a story it thinks for a little bit and then will give me a message of “oops something went wrong. Please try again.” I’ve changed the artwork style, the number of words in the plot summary. I’ve clicked create a story at least 2 dozen times. I’m frustrated after joining feee trial then was signed up to pay 80/year, but I’m going to cancel my subscription tomorrow before I’m charged if I can’t get it to work tomorrow. I’m stopping for the night because I’m annoyed. I’ll edit the review if it works tomorrow.

AuthorAI has amazing potential and is great in many ways. I really appreciate the AI and overall it does a great job of generating stories. However, there are a few gripes I have with AuthorAI . First off, I really wish there was a way to disable the artwork creation part. Every once in a while AuthorAI generates a decent artwork but most of the time it’s a mutated horror that looks really bad and distracts from the story. I wish it was possible to just disable it.

Another thing is that there is only a tiny amount of details that you can give the AI for writing the story. If you like to just give the AI something super vague and see what it comes up with then it’s not a problem but if you want a story about something specific or want the characters to act a certain way or do certain things, then tough luck. With only 250 characters there’s no way to fully let the AI work with your ideas and imagination.

Last is with the AI itself. It seems like just about every story ends with some sort of happy and uplifting message. Which again is fine if you want that sort of thing. But… sometimes you just want a story to end on a dark or neutral note and instead you get one of those corny 80’s-90’s tv show endings where the characters always learn some sort of lesson.

AuthorAI is still fun and interesting and I do encourage you to at least give it a try.

The writing is good but the user input is so limited. I can’t tell the story I want to tell. Just more of a suggestion of something I’d like to hear. Be gone with this 1000 and 200 character limits. You can’t put a limit like that on someone’s imagination… I need to be able to have space for a really in-depth plot. I need to paint my world, I need to slowly introduce characters. Lay the frame work for the climax. I need more than 5 chapters.

AuthorAI is really good and I would definitely recommend it to lots of people but I don’t understand why you only get a certain amount of credits. You should be able to do something to get more credits like watch an ad or even just completing the achievements should give you a credit instead of making you pay for them. I also don’t understand why creating new chapters uses credits when I feel like credits should be used just to creat stories

This is a fantastic app with some issues. When generating book cover art it either won't create it or it won't let me pick the art it does create. Another issue is creating a long story (5 chapters) and it repeats chapter 3 at least twice and the fifth chapter picks up from the missing 4th chapter. That's much more annoying than the cover art issue.

So this is a pretty good app and I’ve enjoyed using it especially for stress and anxiety relief but I have a few suggestions for endless mode one suggestion is that I can edit and add characters after I created the Story as sometimes I want to change something or update there description, two I wish I could regenerate the art after the Story is created as sometimes I like the story it gives me but the art will not be what I’m looking for, third I would like a chapter rewrite feature as sometimes I would like to tweak the prompt I gave and rewrite the chapter I made, and finally it would be nice if the Character descriptions were longer as then I could include more parts about there appearance, job description or status with the other characters like if there married and personality etc. but those are just my suggestions and I give the devs credit as they have been updating AuthorAI frequent and fixing things.

I admittedly threw some paradoxical ideas at it, coupled with some bad grammar and punctuation. I have to say, it’s pretty incredible. The only thing that doesn’t make it a 5 star rating is the chapters are too short and ignores some details from the prompt given. Sometimes mistaking genders and confusing the characters when explicitly prompted who was supposed to die or attack who. Hope the dev team polishes that. Also was prompted a discount but it wouldn’t go through, if it offers the 12 month special again, I won’t hesitate to buy it.

I have a few ideas that I hope you like. I wish there was a save option so you don’t have to exit the store constantly, a redo or multiple options when you make a new chapter, maybe a way to edit parts of the chapter and the ability to make the chapter longer. The ability when you start a new book it can be attached or referenced to another one if you are making a series. I don’t know if five characters is the limit for Ai to keep it from becoming confused when writing the chapters but if it isn’t maybe add more main character or a section for the side characters.

Hey there, this is an app that is very fun to use when you have the full features available to you. However, there are a couple downsides that I noticed. First of all, I am a little dismayed, that one has to sit through the entire making of the novel itself in order to tell the full story. What if I need to go to the store, the bathroom, etc? If I go back to the main menu, I can’t go back and continue. The story is done and I left a piece I made on a cliffhanger thinking I could finish the tale later. Also, how can this be $80??? That’s craziness but honestly more of a nitpick. If it’s annual, it’s reasonable to an extent.

This is an amazing app, I’m so happy to be part of the early development. When it started it was very good but it didn’t have as good of content handling as it does now.

Now I can produce complete books faster with less work and more time spent actually enjoying content with my people and creating.

In AuthorAI I have been wanting to create a story but I just did not know what to write AuthorAI did all the writing for you but I still got to pick the characters and the plot and what kind off story it was and my story was just how I put all the other information down and I got to do all this for free so if you are creative and like making stories but it is hard because you never know what to write this is AuthorAI for you.

Definitely enjoy the creativity of AuthorAI . Wish there was more options like a picture creation for each chapter and a more detailed description of like 1000 words instead of 750 word limit. And more of a ability to make story’s/books and novels more accurate to the detail description. Overall I’ve enjoyed it. But definitely more room of improvement.

I really like AuthorAI, the first story it generated was spot on, I could’ve written it better myself lol, but for a basic story built off the few things I put into the generator was pretty cool to read. I can see this being used as a tool for writers when they have writers block and are feeling uninspired.

I like it, but can you please fix the issue where when I edit and delete something it says like that because it’s very confusing and annoying when I delete something but it comes back in less than a minute

AuthorAI is absolutely wonderful in my honest opinion but the fact that we only get two "points" to start with before we have to use real life money in order to get more so that we can create more stories is downright insane! In my honest opinion I think that we who don't want to spend real life money in order to create stories should be able to get 5-10 free "points" per day or week. What do you all think? Regardless of whether I’m using NSFW genre or not, I should be able to generate mature stories with waiting an eternity, or having continuing chapters go blank. Please fix this issue, if AuthorAI says 18+ then don’t use false advertisement.
