Oil Painting: Color By Number

I fell in love instantly with your intricate pictures...it took time to do them though. I became anxious when the art I was coloring abruptly removed you from the painting to see an ad. Being kicked out of OilColor , finding myself on the home screen was more than annoying. As much as I loved your stunning paintings I had to delete it because of my experiences with OilColor . I will miss those splendid paintings, but the purpose of having this particular app is to be calm. Not make your anxiety climb‼️ OilColor defeats the purpose of having joy while you’re coloring. Never again will I download OilColor in the future.

Updated- way too many ads

UPDATE: Used to be the best. Now way too many ads. They even interrupt the picture after so many colors completed for another ad. Looking for another app. PREVIOUS: Amazing pictures, beautiful details, complex coloring app. Takes some effort to complete a picture but that is what makes it special. Only 1 suggestion for improvement would be to make OilColor rotatable. Very difficult to use with charger plugged in on iPad Air.

Love-hate

I absolutely love OilColor, but I hate it too. The colors are rich and the paintings are challenging. But I get to within twelve colors of being finished and I suddenly get thrown into the world of coding—a long, inescapable list of what I assume are color codes, and then a pale version of the painting. I had to start the painting over (frustrating) and exactly the same thing happened. For me, OilColor is broken.

Update

Beautiful pictures, best coloring app out there, but I wish new pictures were added to all of the categories instead of so many flowers and foods. Hardly any of the other categories get new photos anymore. I will go back up to 5 stars if those things change. And I wish we could delete the ones that we started and decide not to finish.

Waiting…waiting…waiting

Please. Please. Allow a way to hide/delete completed art. All—and I mean ALL because I have several—other color/paint by number apps have that feature. My monthly sub comes up in 5 days. As it stands right now, the game is so slow I waited FOUR HOURS yesterday (well, laid my phone aside and did other things to see if it would ever load) and an “easy” picture wouldn’t load. If there isn’t some fix to allow me to free up memory resources on my phone, I am cancelling my subscription. I have plenty of other apps I can play FOR FREE, so while I will miss yours, I won’t mind having the money to spend on apps that don’t bog down my phone’s memory. Already stopped using it on my tablet months ago for the same
reason.

Cannot find pictures I am working on

Pictures that are in the process of being worked on do not show up in the progress page and when you select “all” the only ones shown are the ones you have completed. No where can you see which ones you are still working on.

If this can be fixed my rating will go up considerably because otherwise this is a great app.

Game has bugs/freezes

I’ve enjoyed using OilColor for awhile now and had no issues until about a week ago. Within minutes of opening OilColor and coloring a picture the game slows down, gets jerky when you try and move the picture around. If you have the picture enlarged to color and it slows down the picture will get super big and freeze. Sometimes it’ll go from large to small while freezing up. You have to close OilColor and reopen it to continue coloring your picture only to go through the same buggy process again. Even after hard closing OilColor you can still hear the game music for a few seconds.
I’ve tried numerous oil painting apps but without a doubt this is the best app to use. When working correctly it’ll give you hours of relaxing fun and pride for coloring such beautiful pictures. Several of my friends have downloaded OilColor but once the game started acting buggy for the past week, they’ve deleted OilColor . I’m very close to doing that, too. Just cannot do any coloring with these issues happening. As the game is now I couldn’t give it more than 3 stars but will be more than happy to give 5 stars once OilColor works properly again. I’m sure I speak for other players in requesting OilColor gets fixed and playable again very soon.

Love it but…

I love OilColor and being able to choose the level of difficulty. Some of the most intricate are the most lifelike, another aspect I really like from other color apps. What I don’t like is that I can’t delete pictures I’ve chosen by mistake or ones I’ve finished. I prefer keeping only my most favorite so I have room to do more. Also the appearance of new pictures (other than the daily one) are really sparse, like the developer started out enthusiastic but has now lost interest in their own app. A great app but don’t think I can recommend it for long term fun until these very basic aspects of most other apps are met.

Enjoying the variety & rich colors

I’m really enjoying OilColor! The artwork is much better than many other apps I’ve tried. Love the minimal ads so far! There are a couple of things that I can see would have helped me rate this a 5 star. 1. When zoomed out on a picture so that you can see and color the full scene, the touch needs to be more sensitive. Sometimes I must tap several times to have it fill in the color. It works fine when zoomed in on just a portion of the pic. 2. I’m unable to color along the top edge of the screen on my iPad. The dead area is about 1/2 inch down from the top all along the edge. 3. I would like for the color dots along the bottom to scroll automatically when I complete colors. Currently I must drag the last dot shown to the left to see the next set of colors. 4. Some of the fill areas don’t contain the color #. Makes it difficult when I am looking for the final very tiny areas to complete the picture, especially if there are gray colors in the actual picture. Thanks for listening.

Fantastic App

OilColor is wonderful there is everything to love between the abundance of paintings with just about any type covered, or the expansive difficulties. My one piece of criticism is that there is no way to delete any canvases once they are in the My Canvases category. This idea comes from the fact that, when I was beginner I didn’t understand what the different colored dots meant(even though it literally says it when tap on the canvas.) Anyway my point I think all OilColor really needs now is a way to delete canvas’s that we’re either accidentally clicked on or that they we’re mistaken for being easier then they actually were. Otherwise OilColor as truly been amazing and in my opinion is the best app for painting.

Beautiful pics to color…just one suggestion.

I really love the selection of pics OilColor has to choose for and they are so detailed when you finish. To love that they even have real celebs that you know who they are. The only thing o would suggest is you have so many pics of “sexy” females…and I am absolutely fine with that…but you should really even it out and have just as many “sexy” males.

Awesome

Love OilColor
So much I paid for a subscription.
I just wish I had either unlimited hints or being able to watch ads for hints because with the subscription I’m only getting 5 hints a day with no option to watch ads for hints and some of these pics have VERY tiny places I can’t even fully find them with the pick number booster unless I use a actual hint

Great Innovating Coloring….

Very relaxing, rewarding after it is finished to see all the beautiful colors come together. I rate OilColor with a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating and review. You’ll come to love it too! Enjoy…..Stay Safe, Smile Often, Stay Blessed. Show kindness towards other people it’s the greatest reward you can give them. Have FUN coloring your favorite pictures. You deserve some time out too….

Love this App

I absolutely love OilColor. It is my favorite. My only problem with it recently is that Zen Word puts on an Ad which covers the paints. Unless you agree to get OilColor , you almost cannot continue to color. I am hoping this is a temporary issue. OilColor is great, but if Zen Word or any other App continues to do this, I probably will not continue to paint.

Painting lesson

While this is Paint by Number, the pictures have been done by real artists. Every time I would think the picture was complete, it would show me how a simple line or patch of color would enhance the image.

The best.

This is the best coloring app I have used. Most other apps I can color with my eyes closed, absolutely no challenge at all. OilColor you have to actually look for the tiny spots that need filled in. Also I like that all the art is separated into different difficulty levels. The new pics are added daily. After using OilColor I have no need to look for a different coloring app, I finally found the one I want.

App acting crazy

I love OilColor to the point of almost total addiction! I also went through that crazy period where OilColor almost drove me insane, slowing down, freezing up, telling me I was moving too fast, etc. I got so frustrated when usually this is the most calming thing I do to the exclusion of everything else! It seems to have stopped the issues so I assume it was a querk in OilColor that got fixed.

My question is, is there a way to delete finished pictures that are taking up space. Also, the change to so many more premium pictures has limited our choices.

Oil color paint by number

The pieces to color are well done and attractive. Some have very small details but if you take it slowly it is possible to complete. I do wish the music was not playing or much softer . It distracts me from the task

Beautiful pictures

I really enjoy coloring these stunning pictures. I just need to see my work in progress which currently not showing under the progress tab.

The ads don't interfere!

I like OilColor because the ads stay out of my way and don't interfere with the coloring! There's different levels, and I have hours more fun with OilColor than other ones! This one is challenging and the finished pieces really look like little oil paintings! Also, OilColor doesn't kill my battery and slow my phone down to a crawl. 5 stars!
