Sketch Pro: Draw & Create Art Reviews

I just downloaded SketchPro because I'm out of storage on Ibis paint and I don't feel like paying money so I thought "hey, SketchPro has pretty good reviews i'll try it out." And so i did and it went pretty smoothly for a while and then it started lagging a bit but I assumed that was because i had a decent amount of stuff on every layer, and then it crashed. I got back in a few seconds later to find it deleted half my layers that I spent roughly 3 hours on total. The only things it didn't delete were some of the sketch layers and some of the color, but the hours of color, shading, lighting, were deleted spontaneously within a second. It was my first drawing on the entire app, so maybe it's just the fact that I didn't pay for the subscription (that's a joke, I'm just really upset right now). I've been doing digital art for years and have used a plethora of art apps/programs and this kind of thing has never happened so I would not recommend SketchPro.

I had cancelled this subscription and deleted SketchPro from my phone and the continued to try and charge me $40 for over an entire month! The kept trying to charge my cashapp card randomly sometimes every couple of days sometimes once a week until I had enough funds on there and then they finally got their money. I never wanted this subscription to begin with which is why I cancelled it. I’m so frustrated with this. How can you keep attempting to charge someone over an entire months span after I already cancelled the subscription? I’m a single mom and $40 is a lot of money for me to have stolen by a stupid drawing app.

I recently discovered that I had been signed up for an annual subscription to this app, following the expiration of my 7-day free trial. While I didn’t initially realize I would be enrolled in a yearly membership, I have no issue with subscribing to your services, provided SketchPro meets expectations.

However, I have encountered several frustrating issues:

Subscription Features: As a premium subscriber, I was under the impression that all features would be unlocked. However, I am being asked to purchase coins/tokens to access certain features. This seems like double charging, as these features should be included in the yearly subscription fee. Could you please clarify why additional purchases are required?

App Functionality: SketchPro frequently freezes, particularly when I try to import photos into my layers. I have attempted various troubleshooting steps, such as closing and reopening SketchPro , and even reinstalling it several times. Unfortunately, the issue persists, making SketchPro unusable.
I would appreciate an explanation regarding both the double charge for in-app features and the technical issues causing SketchPro to freeze. I am quite dissatisfied with my experience so far and hope that these issues can be resolved promptly.

One day I was bored and I wanted to get a painting app, and I stumbled upon SketchPro it looked kinda like procreate just without money. So i got it and after a while of not using it i had a project to work on. But when i used it, it would often freeze up or actually delete something i was very annoyed but i still tried to use it when finally I became furious at SketchPro and ended up deleting it... and i am now going back to a different app that i found. Idk if im allowed to say this, but i do recommend Sketchbook I had it for a while and its pretty good so far... ( Also sorry for the bad grammer...)

I just downloaded this to try tonight, and it has crashed several times… not a promising sign.

Update, 6 months later: still crashing. It worked enough for me to work on one art piece, and the experience was ok, but nothing earth-shattering in terms of must-have features. Also it should be called a Lite version because it’s only a “pro” version after you spend $40 a year... With better one-time purchase options, will have to pass on that.

I just installed SketchPro like 10 minute ago and it appears to be missing some of the most basic functions. For some reason I can’t move separate things on the same layer. It just auto selects everything and I can’t move individual drawings. I can’t merge layers nor can I overlay or mask. Those are some basic needs for a digital drawing app so I’m kinda disappointed cause it looked really nice especially considering I just got SketchPro .

I really like SketchPro so far, but there are a few problems. 1. For one of my drawings, every time I try to open the canvas, the whole app crashes. I am very disappointed because I cannot finish the drawing now. 2. The custom brushes are confusing to make, but I do love the premade brushes, so that’s really not a problem.

Other than that, I absolutely love SketchPro and would definitely recommend it. The free version has a lot of features, and with other apps, I haven’t seen as many free features as this app.

Just to start off SketchPro is amazing for younger artists who are looking for more simplistic settings. For those who require more intricate settings and options SketchPro may not be the one for you.

SketchPro would be good for simple sketches, young artists, and artists who are looking to just play around with formatting. Personally I believe that the pro settings are a bit pricy for an app that lacks some settings and sketching types that are beneficial for online art.

Overall I don’t hate SketchPro , but just a fair warning for those aspiring for a more intuitive format!

SketchPro would’ve been five stars if it gave you more choices in brushes. If it doesn’t have the right brush you can create your own but I just find that very hard to get the right thing that I’m looking for it’s also the greatest app you could probably find art set for the realistic one would’ve been 10 stars out of 10 but it had so many things locked this thing has all of the things that are locked on SketchPro are free on SketchPro so this is totally worth it and it gives you some starting pieces even though most things do that I love it 10 out of 10 would recommend

Pls add realistic hair brushes

This game really awesome but I think it should be rated like 7+ because I personally think people under 7 don’t understand what to do before you tell them what to do*. What I mean is that nobody under 7 is gonna know that if you hit the plus button you create something. But overall, this game is absolutely amazing.
* I am speaking from experience, please don’t think I am an age racist.

Now I dunno if this is just my device, but for some reason SketchPro will randomly just like stop working. For instance, I’m drawing and go to take a break so I close SketchPro . Sometimes when I would go back I would click on my drawing and there would be this spinning blue loading circle thing! And I’ve had to delete SketchPro because it just wouldn’t load! This might be a bug or it’s just my device, but I hope this gets fixed because this is the best free drawing app for IOS!!!!

I love SketchPro it’s really good the only thing is that you have to pay to use more tools monthly or something like that I would just want to be able to use them not have to pay for them. Other than that this is great! It has a bunch of cool tools to use and a really nice layout. 🔥👍

I’m completely new to this type of app for my older iPad and Apple Pencil but the tools seem pretty easy to figure out. I can only imagine what a newer device and someone who knows is more visually creative than me, could accomplish with SketchPro. I hope to have more time with it, as it seems it could make designs far better than I could, on my own.

This is an awesome app, it very much reminds me of Procreate and Vectornator. It has a variety of brushes, and can be used for any purpose. The best part: It's completely free! And even though it says it's designed for iPad, you can download and use it on iPhone and Mac as well! This is one of my go-to drawing apps, so if you're looking for a free app to use for artistic purposes, SketchPro is for you!

Omg SketchPro is the best if you are a beginner drawer! And if you see something that is cute or funny or scary, on the end of the utensils bar there is a picture of mountains, if you click on it it will tell you “do you want to add a picture to your album?” So you can press yes. But before you click here you have to go to google and search the image up!

I’ve been using SketchPro for almost 7 months and it’s very very good,it has all the materials I need unlike other apps, other apps make you pay for half of the whole thing, anyway it is the best and I for sure recommend SketchPro especially for digital artist.

I listen to music and draw because it seems like my type of style and I always do play calm music when I am in a quiet place or alone like in my room or my house down stairs, I usually use my iPad for drawing but I want to learn on how to draw in small spaces like my phone since I have not really learned on drawing with my finger but this seems great for calming down and for places when you get bored around.
SketchPro is really just amazing for me since I am an artist and create art content from SketchPro, I started drawing when I was 4-5 I quit drawing because I thought I would not be a good drawer or a artist but now at the age I am now I really have accomplished my dreams of being an artist on electric devices like iPhone, iPad, laptop, PC, computer, and paper. I really love this game and I haven’t stop playing SketchPro ever since I downloaded it.

Hi! I love SketchPro! Thank you drawing desk team! I honestly think SketchPro is better than drawing desk, and I have both. I know that if you pull up music on drawing desk and exit SketchPro , it keeps playing. So I use it to listen to music while I’m drawing ln this app. But something happened. (I’ll make another review when I fix it somehow) I was on this app and I had made 223 drawings. When I made my 224th one, it crashed. I went back in SketchPro and it keeps crashing when I go into any artwork. I don’t know if this is a bug or something I did, but I might find a way to fix it. If you know what happened, please let me know! Thanks!
If not it’s fine, but still, this is a great app and I recommend you to get it if you love drawing and/or animating!

SketchPro is amazing! It took me a bit to find all the tools, what they did and how they worked but eventually I found out how to make nice drawings! I’m not a very good drawer but it’s amazing to try and make a good drawing and is very satisfying! Download SketchPro now! It’s amazing you’ll love it!!

SketchPro has made me feel like I can be more creative with my art, being that I can make my own brushes and the endless possibilities for drawing that I could do, from a baseball with fire coming out of it to the northern lights. The possibilities are endless

Then it will be free but if you want premium you will have to pay but for a good price in my opinion if you’re parents won’t allow u to spend money on it just sign in and if you love to draw or create art SketchPro is for you AND ITS FREE! I definitely recommend SketchPro for artists or learning to be more professional in your art even if you don’t know we’re to start hey have templates for you to add to so it helps you out there are 3 to choose from so you can pick then move on and create your own and they have so many amazing and helpful brushes SketchPro IS THE FUTURE!!! I really like SketchPro, because there is a lot of features that make it much easier to draw and color, and there are so many unique kinds of brushes.

I would like to ask though, if there was a way to stop SketchPro from crashing. Sometimes when I leave SketchPro and come back, it crashes and restarts. Thankfully it still saves my work. And in one of my projects, when I tap on one certain layer, it will not let me use it and crashes. I’m not sure if something is wrong with my tablet or SketchPro .

But apart from this, it is very nice, I would recommend this. 🙂👍🏾

I got SketchPro because I wanted more tools to use than what I have at home. I am a beginner artist and having access to all these materials definetly helps with my improvement as an artist.

I would say that this is totally great for pro artists, too. All the different features and tools would definitely help create realism and all the textures just help make the art pop and look so much more detailed.

SketchPro is the best art app I have ever seen so far! It has tons of cool features like, different types of pencils brushes pool pastels and so much more! I literally played it for five minutes and I already got hooked onto SketchPro . I feel like SketchPro will help me be a better artist. Please download SketchPro and don’t hesitate thinking that SketchPro might not be good. Also you can customize any type of brush or pen to your liking. Now go download it! Now for the developers, thank you so much for making SketchPro. It is super good. Please don’t get too much into getting money from SketchPro because that’s how most apps lose allot of customers and I would be really sad to see SketchPro fall. Keep up the good work!

This has been a great app for me, I like the controls, and that you can zoom in so much to get fine details and easy to use the eye drop/color picker (note, it is very hard to find so developers maybe you could make it easier for people starting, and if someone looking for it is reading this, you hold down on the color you want(zoom in so it’s the only close color)) also idk if I can’t find it or if there is a way to cut out a section and move it without copy+paste and having to erase the beginning one, but devs please make that lasso, that after you select you can move it, that would be soooooooooo nice, but still this is a great app

I just love SketchPro so much and i mostly enjoy the Ai Tool, it’s helped to blend colors and patterns and help me make art and different things that i probably would never get to make. then there’s the different brushes it’s just so smooth running and i love everything about it. I just have one complaint And that is that, Sometimes when i’m drawing The canvas will go black like all white and sometimes it doesn’t reappear which i find annoying sometimes if i’m almost done with my art, But other than that it’s a really cool and useful drawing app and if you have never heard of it or played it i highly recommend it. SketchPro is exactly the same as other expensive apps that are used for drawing. It has the nice features and it’s probably the best one so far. I’ve been using SketchPro for about 2 months and I have had no issues or problems. I definitely recommend SketchPro if you wanna draw but can’t find a good app.

So procreate is a cool sketch game and it cost money (which is the worst) I wanted a game like that instead of drawing desk. BUT THIS HAPPENS what a wonderful day in my iPad I go to drawing desk and a NEW GAME pops up ON THE MENU I felt ssooo good cuz I saw IT HAS BRUSHES, LIKE PROCREATE! Thank you whoever made this, thank you. It went good So I got it today and it is ✨AMAZING✨ so thx. And shout out to my brother for getting the game. Bye!

I have downloaded a lot more apps but this one I found the easiest to figure out and u don’t have to pay for it but I wish they could add something that helps u learn to draw digital art and help u on how to layer this but I also haven’t dig that far into SketchPro yet but

So about two weeks ago I downloaded this because procreate is way out of my budget then I started drawing I made a bunch of cute drawings I really like that this is gives you a free trial to make sure you like there are so many tools I think you should definitely try this out it also works really well for your Apple Pencil

When I downloaded Drawing Desk, I hated that you had to pay money, but when I downloaded THIS… I fell in love 😍. There are adds, but they don’t come often. Something I did find frustrating, was that I lost almost 10 hours of work. But other than that, this is, and I stand by this statement, THE BEST, DRAWING APP EVER.
