These problems completely ruin the effect and the result bears no similarity to the real thing. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t realism the point of Artomaton ? Artomaton also needs an intensity setting for the canvas, inclusion of cold press paper, and a full screen preview with zoom so I don’t have to save after every significant change just to see what I’m doing. Though none of the current extras entice me to upgrade, if these issues are successfully fixed I will gladly buy it and up your rating to support a responsive developer. All that being said, the color controls are awesome and I really like the variation adjustment. Keep working, you’re on the way to greatness.

Clever of you people to come out with a new update for Artomation. I’ll bet a lot of people were fooled into thinking they were getting new additions to make this an even better program.
Only come to find out that about half of the styles are now locked unless you pay to use them. All of us who... Show more have used Artomaton for some time now are really thrilled. It is now rated a two for this deception. OH........and thank you!

First things first, a subscription for presets? Why is this a subscription?

Also an outright one-time purchase, paid version would be most desired, and at least an all feature one-time IAP would be good.

Love Artomaton BUT can’t use my favorite filter successfully —the sketch/watercolor finishes with a group of short black vertical and horizontal lines that interfere with the picture and make it unusable. I have a brand new top-of-the-line smart phone so that shouldn’t be the problem.

Guys guys guys! The entire reason many of my friends that have Artomaton won’t invest money in it is because picking the higher settings for frames, time to finish, and resolution crashes Artomaton 100% of the time. Picking the lowest setting only crashes it 95% of the time.

If you can fix... Show more the crashing problem that everyone just deletes Artomaton over, and never says anything because nobody bothers, you’d be very very rich.

Don’t know what else to tell ya. It offers amazing effects, and provides no ability to record the creation of the final pieces. Smh

I’m hoping that either a purchase will get rid of the ads or that there is a option to remove them.
Edited: after experimenting with Artomaton more I’ve become very impressed with it. I’m using it to create storyboards for a project and it helps me to bridge the gap between photos and sketches.... Show more It is quite versatile and offers a lot of creative possibilities. What I would really love at this point is an explanation of how to use the built it settings - I’m not quite sure what many of them do - and it would be great if I could contact the maker of Artomaton - the website seems to have been down for quite sometime. If there are any plans to make a Mac based program for a laptop, I’d definitely be interested in trying it out.

I live and breathe photography. I can see quite a use for Artomaton. I can now actually shoot for a certain style (I can shoot with pencil or marker in mind and finish it in Artomaton). I love the effect. But it seems like it compresses the image. It makes it smaller, but other than that it’s a wonderful app. May I suggest that on the unlock buttons, we would like to see the turn out of the photo to see the effect. Oh my god, Artomaton is a literal game changer! It can let me see how a drawing or video can be created as a work of art in real time. I’m wondering if i can copy everything Artomaton does on a real piece of paper... i will try it one day when i have the patience!

Can make some very creative and artistic pictures without any talent.

I love Artomaton so much and use it all the time. I only have one bug, when a video has a completely black frame the application will either draw forever or freeze. Either way, I love Artomaton and work around that bug.

I love to just see what I can create with the tools in Artomaton.

The sketch filter doesn’t have that say gritty effect anymore that I was quite fond of. Now the filter is too murky and clean. The sketch filter basically feels like another art filter. Really fun filters and great features in this option filled creative app including hi res output and frame rate control! Nicely done! I’m loving it. It will be great, if adding a function which outlines moving objects in the forth ground from shadow and background.

Is this available for desktop users?

Great for tourists passing the time on public transportation. You just take many pix, select a good one, turn it into a sketch or painting, and you have a nice memento! Everyone else sits around bored or eating while you were creating something.

Excellent program for turning photos into all sorts of paintings and drawings. There is quite a few options and some are free and some are paid and even the paid are very inexpensive and one time. I really like this program thank you.

Hi, the unlock function is not working for me.....?
