Very well made innovative crossword puzzle game! I saw the game being advanced on instagram, and it is just as advertised. I ended up purchasing the game to rid of the constant ads, but it is honestly worth the buy. Im typically not one to leave reviews, or purchase games. But this game is so entertaining, and I love how after you solve the level, you are given extra insight into what trivia the main clue is based in! I probably won’t subscribe to the monthly subscription, because im not an avid crossword fan, but overall I love the game, the developers did a great job on it.
If I could give more stars I would, definitely recommend. 10/10!

I’ve never been one to write reviews but I love this game. And no, I’m not being paid by the company to write this.

I read some of these reviews and all the bad ones are for the adds and how “the ad payment doesn’t work.” Okay if you’re gonna pay 5 bucks to block adds on a game then that’s the first problem you got.
And yes, I admit the adds are really freaking annoying. It’s after every round. Which can be annoying but the game itself is amazing and I’m actually clicking on it and learning instead of using social media and losing brain cells.
But seriously, the only flaws are the adds which I understand and sometimes the questions are really hard but you can get hints which are helpful.
But in the end I love this game and I highly recommend it to someone who’s trying to learn a few extra facts. 5/5

I never leave reviews on games or apps but I had to here. I played one round on this game then got an ad, totally normal. For some tiki solitaire game. No biggie.

Not interested in the ad, I let my phone sit for a minute waiting for an option to close the ad to appear. After 2 minutes nothing appeared, so I decided to play along and play the small demo for the game within the ad.

After finishing, the screen shifted to suggest I click to download the game from the ad. Not interested, I again let my phone sit waiting for an option to return to Crostic. Again, nothing happened.

Defeated, I clicked the option to download the ad game hoping it would make the ad go away and I could resume playing. No luck. Repeatedly for 5 minutes I tried pressing everywhere and anywhere on my screen, but it would only send me to CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles Store to download this new ad game.

I have never removed a game from my phone so quickly, shame because I felt like this had potential. I have downloaded hundreds of games over the years and this is the first time I have ever given a 1 star review.

This game has so much potential to be bigger! I enjoy playing it, but would be much better to be able to come back to previous solved game to see the fun facts! Also, it should be made possible to scroll up and down the topic list. Could be fun to be able to connect with friends to have some competition as well.

I understand that ads are necessary for earning revenue but goodness gracious! You open CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles - get an ad. Select begin- get an ad. Complete the puzzle- get an ad. Read the trivia- get an ad. Go back to the home page to do nothing more than select begin again- get an ad! And these aren’t at all the brief ones that you can exit in 5-15 seconds. These long ads seem to be to intentionally annoy players into paying for the subscription. Well the annoyance part has been effective. Cool game but I have to uninstall as it causes more stress than it relieves.

Overall, the game is easy to learn and play. There are more ads than I’d really like and sometimes they pop up at odd times. Most of the puzzles are rather easy, but occasionally a word or two will be more difficult to solve.

Besides the ads, my biggest complaint is that the ‘facts’ they show when you solve a puzzle aren’t always correct (like ‘Australia has poisonous snakes’ when they actually have venomous snakes). Not a super big deal, unless you like to remember the bits of trivia.

It is all about ads. When a puzzle is complete it switches immediately to ads, and there is no time to read the question, not even a second. After showing severals ads and opening new browser windows, the page comes back, but half of the time the original question you completed on the top is too long and half of it is cut off.
The only way to read it is when the puzzle is 98% complete. This gets boring fast.

The latest install just “worked” and I didn’t have to reinstall CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles or restore my purchases.
On to working out puzzles!

Usually with games like this, they allow you to use the game offline since you’re literally only playing by yourself 9 times out of 10 and as such have no reason to need Wi-Fi for data that can be downloaded when CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles isn’t open or when CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles is installed…Not with this one. Very disappointing. I have a bad feeling that the ads, like other ratings have mentioned, will be egregiously prominent and keep me from enjoying the game.

I have to agree with everybody in the comments. Maybe after every 5 games or 3 you have a ad, because your levels after you beat every single one you have to watch, skip, exit, and back out of CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles Store just to get back to the game…. Maybe if you offer (free) “hints” for watching ads it wouldn’t be so bad. Might delete, it’s a lot extra to skip the ads when I can buy a cheap crossword book 😅 someone let me know if they update and change!!! Would love to try again

So i’ve been playing this game for a while and paid for no ads and didn’t have any issues. Now out of no where ads are popping up and it says i need to pay again? even though it says one time fee. Not that big of deal because it’s only $5 and i really enjoy this game!

I rated this 3 stars out of five because I paid to get no ads yet I’m still getting ads. Huh?? Yes it’s less but I still have to watch ads to do previous months’ puzzles. Why did it say no ads if purchased?? Otherwise it’s fun. They should be more clear on the no ads purchase and if we still get ads it should be much cheaper than $4.99.

Since the new update of IOS I can’t get it work. I have reinstalled CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles several times. It gets stuck at the opening screen. Secondly, CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles doesn’t save my data in the cloud even though I paid for the ad-free version. Maybe I need to seek a refund. Each time I reinstall it works once or twice and then not again. It just get stuck. Moreover, I keep paying the same games over and over because it didn’t save the level I achieved. I’m sooo disappointed.

This game is a great time waster (you can decide if that’s good or bad), but it feels really crappy to have paid to remove ads and support the developers and then still be forced to watch the worlds longest ads to play daily puzzles. Please fix this devs, these gardenscape ads are going to drive me to madness.

I downloaded CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles and played it for an hour (also paid to remove ads), then closed out of it. When I went to open it back up later, it just gets stuck on the loading screen and never opens. I uninstalled and reinstalled CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles and it worked again, but I lost all my progress. Then I closed out of it again and went to reopen it and the same problem happened! I can’t get past the loading screen.

The game was fun and challenging, but I repeatedly ran into the issue that the clues and the answers didn’t make sense, also some grammatical errors. My biggest beef was, when the answer referred to Charles Lindberg and they threw in that he was a polygamist. Not sure where they got this information, but it made me question how many other instances of erroneous information there are in this game.

The game itself is fun and gets your brain gears rolling. But after every level there’s an ad for another game and it’s frustrating when you’ve gotten into flow and would like to continue to next level. The ads a long, & on top of that, you can’t skip them until like 10secs or more. I deleted it from my phone for this reason. As I said the game was fun - ads not so much.

Love the game, hate the ads. Paid to have no ads and still have to watch ads. The daily calendar has ads for each day you do. At least make it so you don’t have to watch ads for that day. Previous days, to catch up, you have to watch ads. This keeps people coming to your game every day.

Games is really fun too many ads not willing to pay five dollars almost to get rid of as probably won’t play games very much if at all I really hate games that have ads every five seconds are after every time you play one level really sick of these supposed free games but you have to pay to get rid of ads or pay to get things you should already win

Most of the reason I love CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles is because of the fun facts after you solve a puzzle. It would be even better if there was a way to go back and reread the solved puzzles. Other than that, the visuals are aesthetically pleasing and game itself is quite fun without being too difficult to enjoy.

This is a great game and I must say I enjoy playing cuz it’s been so challenging for me
But I actually feel like there should be a space or place where people who plays this game can interact and talk most especially people in the leader board

This is a great puzzle game. Lots of different clues although there is a ton of repetition. If you like Crostic puzzles, this is CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles for you. The negative is that they’ve added a lot of theme packs to the game. I’m not opposed to paying for more content but their pricing is SO HIGH! Are they insane? To buy all of the new theme packs, it would cost you $40. Come on.

The game is fine. I paid for no ads with it for 4.99. I still get an ad that comes up. It is one of the most annoying ads with all these people talking about how it has no ads. I hate the intrusion and I would like the 4.99 returned. This is the 2nd time I have bought a no ad subscription through this site and still had to put up with the ads. No Ads means NO ADS! Especially not an annoying one. I am very disappointed.

You have no intention of getting a review, no name can be used, the excuse being that everything I type is already taken which I doubt seriously.

Start playing, a demo runs; great. Now watch an ad before you get to play. As soon as the first quick puzzle is done, watch another ad. Play another puzzle - oh, wait! That’s not what that word means; what are they talking about?? Now watch YET ANOTHER AD.

Every flipping game this company publishes is nothing but an ad-fest. What a complete joke. In addition, they don’t know what some of the words mean that they ask you to identify. They should get some proofreaders for whom English is their first language.

This is my LAST time downloading a game by this company.

This game helps to keep your busy mind occupied. Time flew by as I played but there are too many ads to deal with unfortunately. I understand ads help & makes this a free game but there should be a limit so it doesn’t take away from the game. I would purchase to remove ads if given the option.

I wanted to like this game. I really did. It looked like just the sort of word game that I would like. However, ads ads ads … after EVERY puzzle. I don’t mind the ads because almost every game has them, but really after every single puzzle?
And I’m sorry, I was an English major in school, and some of these puzzles are so terribly worded, and I’ve even run across a few spelling mistakes. Can’t a computer do spellcheck for you. Like I said, I really wanted to like this game. But I did not.

I downloaded CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles and was bombarded with ads constantly. I was getting ready to delete it when an opportunity to get rid of the ads came up. At first I didn’t think it was worth it, but I kind of liked the game and thought why not? So I clicked on what I thought was a one time cost of $4.99 + tax. I didn’t realize I would be charged this amount ongoing!!!

I have sent an email, asked for a refund, and tried every way that I know how to cancel this so I’m not charged any more. So far - no response.

So, if you decide to get rid of the ads be very, very careful!

I took advantage of the in-app purchase “Remove ads” for $4.99 and when first entering any “Daily level” an Ad will appear and the entire Ad must be viewed, which are regularly over one minute in length. If I’m paying to remove ads, I expect to see none, not the reduced amount that it seems to be. Please correct this situation!

I enjoyed the game except for a major flaw that spoiled the fun so I deleted CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles . This game is designed so that as soon as the puzzle sentence is complete it goes straight to an advertisement, with no opportunity to review the clues. I played three games and solved all three by solving the puzzle sentence instead of the clue words and was very frustrated that I was unable to review the entirety of the fruits of my labor (the filled in clue words) so I deleted CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles .

If they ever allow for a person to peruse the finished product (puzzle sentence and clue words) in its entirety upon completion, I would play this again. But, as it is currently designed it’s not worth the frustration. In their haste to shove an advertisement in my face they took away the most important part of playing which is enjoying the view of the field of victory. A very poor choice by the developers.

I have been thoroughly enjoying this game. Unfortunately I cannot continue because of an ad. In order to continue an ad surfaced forcing me to enter a contest I have no interest in. I do not enter things I know nothing about. It is not safe. If I can’t get past this I will have to delete the game. I will be sorry to say good-bye, but my safety comes first.

The first portion of the game keeps locking up. Can play the ‘pay’ portions though. Had to uninstall the game and lost all my progress as well as 80 hints. Locked up again but at midnight when the game reset, it fixed itself. Tonight it did it again but it’s just past midnight so I have to wait 24 hours to fix it. Won’t be happy if I lose my 78 hints and the little progress I’ve made since I lost the first game.

So far I really like this game. My only problem with it right now is there are 2 ads that are causing me problems. The first one takes you to a website that wants you to input your email so you can claim a reward. Only problem is it won’t exit the website unless you enter your email. I don’t want to do that so I can’t get back to the game unless I reboot my phone or wait until the next day to be able to play the game. The 2nd ad is just a blank page and no exit to get back to the game.

Please fix so I can give a better review!!!!!

This game has a lot of potential. Graphics are simple and uncluttered, so its functionality is smooth. However, with all due respect, if you’re interested in accuracy of definitions written by qualified native English speakers, I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. Also, the same words are used very regularly, often in 2 or 3 consecutive levels. If you’re just looking for something to kill time, it’s good, but if you’re frustrated by non-native or slightly inaccurate clues, you’ll be disappointed. I’ve written to support about my observations, but haven’t received responses to either e-mail. I’d still like to be optimistic, because, again, the game isn’t bad, and the function is good. They just need to bring a native English speaker with a degree or career in English if they want to achieve respectable quality in the English being used. And, yes, it’s British English, which is fine, except whether British or American English, it still suffers from overuse of the same words and frequently inaccurate use of English, which, as a teacher, editor, and proofreader, specializing in support of non-native English speakers, I can see where the problem lies if you actually notice those details.

Ok, I get it. The developer makes money by showing ads. Example: in candy Crush, you can get free boosters for watching ads from 5 seconds to 30. You don’t have to watch unless you want boosters or lives. (The correct way for successful game apps). On this game I played one round. Then came an ad which was slightly annoying but it was only 5 seconds so okay. Next round, took me about 30 seconds to pass. Another ad BUT this time there was no counter & the ad seemed longer than 30 seconds. I really liked the game so I played another level for less than a minute & another ad. THE AD SEEMED TO BE OVER A MINUTE & before the next level started ANOTHER AD which seemed to be WELL OVER A MINUTE. Review: Played 15-20 sec. 5 sec ad Next played about 30 seconds. An AD THAT SEEMED LONGER THAN 30 Seconds but there was no timer so not sure Next played 45 seconds and TWO ADS played. BOTH SEEMED TO BE OVER A MINUTE & there is no “x” to close the ad even at the end. You have to look all over & wait until it finally appears. NEXT-I took about a minute to write this review & DELETE CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles . Had I known, I wouldn’t have downloaded to start with. Could’ve been a decent game but it won’t.

This game is very interesting, sometimes you have to stop and think of what the answer would be. It is very challenging with lots of info about various topics. I would recommend this game to everyone I know.

I am pretty good with English vocabulary but I am learning new words/usages and the topic discussion after a game is completed is very interesting.

Unfortunately, the ads make it nearly unplayable for me. They are WAY too frequent and also too long, often hanging there long after the content has stopped. Instead of having an ad after each game, why not an ad after a level (5 or so games) is completed?

I deleted CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles after I first tried it, then decided to give it another try. The ads are so annoying that I suspect I will eventually delete it again.

One of the features that I enjoy about CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles are the trivia facts it highlights at the end of a completed set. I’ve noticed that the trivia facts have gotten shorter and less descriptive. I would implore that they be returned to the more broader explanation.

I’m always on the search for good puzzle-type games. This one is actually pretty fun, I love crossword, and the like so this was pretty good!

I enjoy the facts after every level as well, learning something new, while playing a game is always a bonus!!

There are a fair amounts of ads, BUT something that I appreciate, is that they are all shippable within about ~5 seconds give or take. Which makes the amount of ads WAY more acceptable. I’m not just playing one round, then being forced to watch a 30second- a minute long ad. Making more ad watching than gameplay.

Something that could be added to improve CrosticCrosswordWordPuzzles would be a dark mode function. The game is very bright, so that would help a lot with just being able to relax and play the game.

Otherwise an overall fun and enjoyable experience!
