I just wanted tickets, not spammed by a lame app

2024-11-02

by Chrissssssstopha

A friend’s crew was having a party and they chose this provider for tickets. They make you create an account, collect all your data and provide a pic. Felt excessive but made it seem like it was for identity verification, little did I know they’re trying to force me to join whatever social media app they’re attempting to launch here.

Soon as I pay for tickets, I’m getting spammed w emails about other events, then other accounts following me. I clicked each of the unsubscribe links… tonight was the last straw when they texted me 9:45pm. Deleting my account. I don’t want to be a part of your dumb social network. I just wanted tickets to one single show. Really sick of every company collecting all our data. You don’t need to know where I live, my phone number, what I look like to sell me a ticket. I don’t need more followers. I’m well aware of the artists shows I’m interested in. Really wish I’d just paid $5 extra at the door. Next time I see a show forcing ticket sales only through Plots, I just won’t go.

It was a total scam

They over sold tickets and we didn’t even get into the building. Some friends got hurt because the crowd was too much. The party started at 10pm but no one was getting in at 11:30. Security was rude calling people names. Terrible. Never even got inside. From friends that barely got inside, the music was lame and it was terrible. Not worth the wait or the money.

Awesome ***BETA User***

I was part of the beta group for this app on TestFlight. I attended several mansion parties in LA you could only find through this app. Had over 25K users, but I don’t see any of them on this version. I hope they are able to bring everyone on. I don’t want to have to add back all of my friends. And keep the event history. I like being able to see all of the past events you’ve attended and your friends and their friends. Plus I want to be able to flex I was on Plots early!! I also have some feature ideas. You should definitely be able to message people before the event, and after, to make it more social. The hype will give everyone something positive to look forward to (in-person) but also keep them connected between events. As long as the focus is still on actually getting together I think this still fits with the Plots mission.
