Evolve Training App Reviews

Asked me a bunch of time consuming on boarding questions. Recommended a wildly inaccurate calorie intake (with no option to edit or disable it, I already use a nutrition tracker that works for me I just wanted to use the lifting part of EvolveTrainingApp .) after completing the on boarding wizard EvolveTrainingApp just immediately crashes. Can’t even try EvolveTrainingApp out. Ended up going with a more expensive competitor app.

I switched over from juggernaut to evolveai and I was very excited to use it. I have been unable to use it due to it crashing. I had an issue with the timer always going off from the very beginning. It would start counting down from 30 as if I had 5 secs left.
I was hoping after the new update they did it would fix it. I went in to switch my intensity after the update and it crashed on me AGAIN. It not only crashed on me but it also erased my past workouts. I have tried deleting EvolveTrainingApp and it still won’t work. I had high hopes from EvolveTrainingApp. EvolveTrainingApp is not reliable at all.

The latest update won’t let me get past he 2nd question for birth date. It pops up an error message when you try to enter the info, then EvolveTrainingApp force closes.

**update: if you press back on the questionnaire, you can get to the login screen and access the dashboard again.

Great update despite this minor bug

Due to updates or other issues it’s reset my data/profile twice. Both without any meaningful communication or notification from the developers. I guess if you somehow find their discord you can get an update from some other community member.

Sometimes it ignores your progress from the past month and pulls data from 3-6 months ago as estimate 1rm or current training blocks.

Glad I’ve gone back to writing things down to continue to progress since I’ve had profile reset issues.

I used EvolveTrainingApp for almost a year and it was really good app which helped me to progress a lot. But in recent month they totally changed ui, put some monochromic colors, made fonts a lot smaller, added some confusing chart. I totally lost it, takes time to figure out what to click next. Deleting it until they hire new designer.

Great programming, app still has some bugs though. At least once a week EvolveTrainingApp crashes and the only way to fix is to delete EvolveTrainingApp and redownload. The timer is also annoying.

I’ve been using EvolveTrainingApp for around 3-4 weeks. I’ve enjoyed it and it shows a lot of promise. However, it crashes almost every time I use it. Once it crashes I have to delete it and re-install. Thankfully all of my data is still there and I’m able to pick up right where I left off in my workout. I’d change my review from 3 stars to 4 or 5 if this issue could be resolved.

EvolveTrainingApp is fine I guess, I was wondering why every training session was a top single at RPE 8 until I realized the “benchmark” setting was automatically turned on. A little disappointed because it feels like I screwed up my last 5 weeks of training. Maybe we can call it user error, but I still feel like the benchmark setting should be explained and toggled on/off when making a new program.

EvolveTrainingApp crashes all the time causing me to delete and redownload. That needs to be fixed + make the programming available online too so there are multiple modes to access

The developer continues to improve EvolveTrainingApp and engage with the community on the discord. Give it a try!

Frequent updates keep making EvolveTrainingApp better and better. Can’t wait for the new UI and ability to modify deload timing.

Everyone knows that training apps and nutrition apps are difficult to get right. The reason why I support the EvolveAI team and use EvolveAI on a daily basis for my own training is because I understand the incredible amount of coaching expertise and science-based recommendations that went into the programming. Now with nutrition and macro tracking layered on top in an easy user interface, I won’t have to switch between multiple apps for my training and nutrition endeavors. Is it perfect? No. Is it moving incrementally closer to the “ideal” training and nutrition solution? Absolutely.

Same thing. The guy who started / created juggernaut ai made EvolveTrainingApp / program and went independent of jts in that aspect afaik. Way more affordable with subscription via their website.

Great program! I am now 8 weeks in and everything is working great! Few updates to come hopefully with adding in warm up weights and allowing you to pause program.

The new UX/UI design is phenomenal. It was well worth the wait. The workouts, the various options of different training style came this most resent update unmatched to anything out there on the market right now. You need more recognition! I am thankful that you continue to update the program as well, a feature many other training apps seem to be lacking in.

I love EvolveTrainingApp! There is less for me to think about when I come into the gym. My numbers have gone up since I started. Also, they have great customer service with a quick response time. Garrett has been extremely helpful!

After turning 30 and having a few injuries I can say I’ve gotten a little lazy in the gym. EvolveTrainingApp has helped me push and stay on track despite how I might feel that day. Strength is back up to where it hasn’t been in years. Currently on week 14 and loving it.

I cannot do deadlift or squat due to back injury's from my time in the military I always have to do seared leg work outs please account for this in your program I felt it was very unfair when asking about squat and deadlifts maxes because I legitimately can't do those unless I want to go to the hospital

As someone with undergraduate and graduate education in human nutrition, foods, and exercise (formal degree name), I am always looking to streamline my strength programming and nutrition tracking. EvolveTrainingApp does this so well in one at a great price. Since starting with EvolveAI I have noticed folks commenting on my physique and strength gains even outside of the gym. My blood markers have improved and I am improving my body composition substantially.

I have been lifting for 15+ years. EvolveTrainingApp is fantastic when it comes to self tracking you lifts, readiness and proper weight calculation. Love the example videos so I can try new exercises I’ve never seen done. Great job, excited to see what is next.
