Lifelight doesn’t help me with journaling or record keeping. It is so bad that it got me mad at Apple for recommending such a terrible app.

Not only that, somehow if you turn on the Journaling Suggestions by accident, Lifelight can access your phone Activity, Media, Contacts, Photos and Significant Locations. Why would you need to access my contacts at all? Also, isn’t a journal supposed to be private ?

Lifelight has 4 parts:

Journal - basically a place for storing “stuffs”. Talk into it to get transcribed texts. What’s new about voice to text? Many apps offer that for free. A good replacement is to use any free messaging app to send a message to yourself.

AI friend - the worst part. chat capability is much worse than any free ai such as talkie / character ai. whoever pays for that may not know there are free and better options out there. Also, why is there this feature to begin with? Just for the sake of having an ai chatbot?

Gallery - just a calendar display of past entries. Many messaging apps have that also. Any journaling app would also have that.

Insights - again, there are better mood trackers out there and they’re free. I don’t know who would pay that amount of money ? Also, they had the “AI friend” send me a letter speaking non-sense.

I don’t know why Apple would recommend such an app. I suspect that Lifelight being “#1 app of the month” is not even real. Or, maybe they’re spending much ad money to get downloads.

There are lots of feature, pretty excited when I download it. The chat feature(which is the core feature) is not working properly. The AI are super buggy and frequently it doesn’t response. It also delete entries. The entries are also not in order.

I was just begining to enjoy the process of this new app and all of a sudden it stopped working. :(

Lifelight is consistently crashing. Reinstalling doesn't help.

send email on 24.6.16 about workouts cannot load. Reply said fixing. after half years still has same bug, send email ask progress. Now it's 7 month, still bug

I recorded a really long text in the morning today and while I was editing other entries later that night, Lifelight deleted that long entry - it broke my heart cuz I was recording my emotions and thoughts after having a long conversation with my mother and it was gone forever.

When I quickly checked my app on Mac, it was also wiped from the history. Have no idea how to recover it. The bug appeared before, since it was not that relevant, i didn’t pay too much attention to it - now it became a real problem.

The interaction design is very strange, making Lifelight completely unusable. Still need to improve user experience on macOS.

Wow Lifelight seems amazing so far! The only thing I wish I could change is my AI’s name and personality. I just randomly picked one at the start but I didn’t know it would be locked in.

Otherwise, Lifelight is really good.

Almost perfect Lifelight is for journaling. Beautiful UI but is there no way to create an account? I downloaded Lifelight on mac and cant sync my entries? Also ots next to impossible to find support on your app, I want to email they ask me download apple mail, i want write, they ask me download discord. Too many uset barriers. I just want to know how to or If i can create an account and sync. Also what does I have only 9 stars left mean.. dont assume the organization level knowledge for first time customers? Great design, needs UX.

基础功能做的很全面。但是目前用下来，无法养成记录的习惯，我也没有什么特殊的契机让我想要记录，但打开app后总能写点东西。

The auto classification feature is amazing. It’s so convenient to have my events automatically organized into categories.

Please add:
# - the ability to make an entry (both in the past and future) set at a specific time, not only on a specific day, but also time/order (appearing before or after, not necessarily requiring a precise time). I have a lot of old journal entries I want to add, and also I put my upcoming appointments on future journal pages.

# - automatically add to daily entries, in addition to local weather, the local moon phase.
