I’m not the kind of person that can stick with journaling - I find that I either have too much or too little to say, so it seems too daunting and the habit never sticks. My friend suggested starting with a this app each day, so I went on the hunt for an app to make my life a bit easier.
I tried several different apps, and landed on this one. Gratitude made it easy for me to build a habit of journaling my daily this app. They offer prompts if you can’t think of one. You can set up daily reminders, change colors, and even add a picture to your daily this app. There are articles, affirmations, motivational quotes, and even a pre-written note that you can send to someone to share your this app and appreciation for them. You are able to back up your journal, but I *believe* that’s a paid feature.
Con: there’s really only one feature missing that I would love, and that’s the ability to write gratitudes for past days. If you miss writing an entry for two days, you can go back and add those. But if you want to write an entry for a month ago, you aren’t able to. I started this journey in January (writing my grats down in a paper journal) but I found Gratitude months later, so I can’t record my entire this app history. I use a different app that allows me to add gratitudes wherever I need to, but it isn’t as cool as Gratitude.
Overall, would def recommend.
