I used to love GratitudeJournalnew. Now focusing on trying to get it to work distracts so much from my gratitude entry that I deleted GratitudeJournalnew . I wasn’t finding myself happier using it, only frustrated. 1) GratitudeJournalnew says I can limit its access to certain photos OR albums on my phone. So I set up an album for use with GratitudeJournalnew . But when you tap to add a photo to your journal entry, whether you select photo or album, it takes you to the camera.
2) There is not an identifiable “enter” button to save entries do you play Russian roulette and use the back button. Some functions save when you do this, some don’t. I don’t want to retype for the third time an entry I was really inspired about the first time.
3) The updates in GratitudeJournalnew, like many to be fair, are biased in favor of less privacy, more sharing and fewer obvious buttons on the screen with a function on them. Maybe it makes for a pretty screen but I want sublime ease of use the moment I open GratitudeJournalnew . I don’t want to read instructions, I don’t want to practice, that is not where I want to spend the previous hours of my life. Make it simple, easy and obvious or I’m moving on. Also, I do not want to share the entirety of my private reflections with the world via Facebook nor the advertisers who gather conglomerate data from Google. Count me out.
I used to love GratitudeJournalnew. I’m sorry to say goodbye. I’m grateful there are other options available. Peace, out.
