GameviceLive looks nice, but functionally it’s pretty terrible.
The Homepage doesn’t present apps that you’ve been playing. It presents games they want to promote.
To get to games, you’ve been playing, you have to open a separate favorites page. And clicking on those don’t even take you to GameviceLive . It opens into interstitial window for you to tap play on. Clunky.
It also doesn’t take into account the dynamic island. Menu elements are hidden.
I expected better.

Coming from the backbone, the gamevice controller is a great improvement with better thumb sticks hand grips and no need to remove your case. But GameviceLive is a huge let down. It doesn't act as a launcher for your games. The backbone app is by far way better.
The gamevice deserves a better app. A game launcher at least. Hoping the developers decide to give GameviceLive some love and make it a better experience with the controller.
I installed GameviceLive thinking it was necessary to get the full use out of the Flex controller. Unfortunately, it doesn’t even act like a launcher. It’s just a middleman between the consumer and GameviceLive Store or services. You can’t launch games, there are no social features. (Why “Live” then?) GameviceLive serves no functional purpose and just takes up space.
I absolutely LOVE the Gamevice FLEX. But GameviceLive does not do it justice. Luckily it can be updated, but it should be ENTIRELY revamped. The Backbone app was amazing. Definitely should take notes because the FLEX beats the Backbone controller a hundred times over. I’m looking forward to seeing updates to GameviceLive.
I just literally got mine just now and literally don’t work at all and even GameviceLive won’t open, this literally a -10 ⭐️
quick question, is GameviceLive even needed to use the controller? asking for myself. if not then i’m definitely going to delete it, ain’t opened it since i got the controller.

Stops working after a while
The controller is awesome but I agree with previous review this does not recognize games that have already been installed. I bought this so I could leave my case on , but I can’t play anything off of Xbox cloud at all because it will not recognize GameviceLive is already downloaded.
App need updates frequently , I have to open those separate because won’t launch directly from GameviceLive smh 🤷🏽♂️
Can’t launch Xbox cloud app or Ps remote play app, which is the whole point of GameviceLive. Controller is top tier and worth the money though.
Really helps out keeping myself entertained when traveling but I would love to have a virtual controller option to play games that are not compatible with a gamepad.
