Tldnr: If you’re looking for an all-in-one mood tracker and workout app, with some surprisingly broad bonus material, and have the spare cash to burn, it may be worth it.
I hate that Moodment has like no reviews, so I’m trying to be thorough both for customer and developer.
Pros: The community seems pretty active and I saw a couple of special activities happen during my week trial. You can look around at the different sections of Moodment (no content) without any sort of trial. There are a wide variety of topics covered as well as challenges. The workouts seemed fun and varied, with a lot of videos. I liked that it’s not just Carly doing the content.
There is a seven day free trial that you can just cancel the same day you sign up through Apple and use all week. I wish it were longer and you didn’t need to sign up, but that’s all really standard for apps these days so I cannot fault them.
Cons: The price, man. That price is sky high! Getting to all of the content can be clunky and difficult (I searched for “stress” and the results didn’t include about three articles on stress that I found searching other topics). There is a wide variety of topics but they don’t go into much depth.
Sometimes the content didn’t really seem to match my selected mood.
My first day’s reading category was a promo code to buy more stuff—like, I’m glad you’re trying to share things you love, but I don’t really want to be told to buy more when I’m trying to decide whether or not to give you over $100. And that promo made it harder for me to find actual content that day!
As for me, I don’t feel like the available content meets the price point (maybe it would if this were my only app). It may be in the future, they’re adding lots of stuff and I have a deep feeling that the kinks in the sort of luxe level feel that they’re trying for and not quite achieving will be worked out.
