What FiveADayDiary “counts” as a portion in FiveADayDiary is literally whatever FiveADayDiary designer decided was a portion. It does not align with what actually is a portion according to myplate.gov.

Needs work

This seems to be the best app for tracking daily servings of vegetables/fruits (if that is the only thing you want to track), but it has significant flaws. Not all vegetables/fruits are options (e.g., no garlic - yes, it’s a vegetable; no olives - they are fruit; has sweet potato but not white potato), and there is no “Other” category that lets you make your own entries. The serving sizes are flawed as well (e.g., a “handful of blueberries = 1 serving”; I can’t understand why they don’t have it listed as 1/2 cup = 1 serving). I never go by FiveADayDiary’s serving sizes.

Just counts fruit

Simple and effective!

Helps you keep track of fruit and veggie servings. It even tells you how much a serving is. Would just like more options. Not all fruits and veggies are listed. Even just an “other” category would be good!
