truly nothing at all

Voda just tells you to think about your emotions and then gives you vaguely inspirational paragraphs about weathering storms or whatever. i understand that that’s all some people need, so im glad those people are getting helped, though imo you probably could accomplish the same thing with a hang in there kitten poster or something.

for example, i went through the module on coping with misgendering. it just told me to write down how being misgendered made me feel and then told me to try to convince myself that what i was feeling was not real. (they call this act therapy) i know from experience that a lot of therapeutic techniques rely on essentially just willing yourself into feeling something different, but i’ve never been very good at that, and ive always felt that if i could do that i wouldn’t really need the therapist as a middleman.

so ultimately im sure this could be helpful for someone with extremely mild symptoms of depression or anxiety, but im also not totally sure why someone with extremely mild symptoms of depression or anxiety would need such an app in the first place.

Not like calm at all

Was advertised to be like the Calm app. However I did not see it have what I was hoping for. Which was audio for helping me achieve sleep quicker and more restorative. Instead it offered a 10 day plan for journaling and self reflection… that is NOT what I wanted. So yeah nothing like the calm app.

pay for help?

it’s honestly quite sad that Voda targets people like me who are trans or in the community, i feel like this because you guys make us pay for help? like we are the most vulnerable group and some of us need help but don’t have the money to pay for something like this. this makes me pretty upset as Voda actually looked pretty cool. do better.

Confidence builder!

I absolutely love Voda and I especially love it because it’s designed for queer people. I found myself feeling very low and decided what the heck let me try this. I’m so glad that I did! I’ve completed 6 of the sessions so far and I have learned so much about myself and how a lot of my insecurities are just negative talk in my head. Thank you for the confidence builder. I will definitely continue Voda and most likely be purchasing a subscription. But as an FYI to newbies, there are tons of free things just to start, so try it out and see what you think. It really is a game changer. 🫶🏽

Incredible App

I’ve been to therapists who try very hard but lack an understanding of queer life, so they sometimes don’t realize what they’re saying might not be received well. this app bypasses that concern without question. It’s smart, helpful, and so easy to use. The benefits start right away. This would be helpful for lots of people including those waiting to see a therapist, for practice in between therapy sessions, and for those who lack access to LGBTQIA+ friendly therapists.

the only queer wellness app i’d recommend

no other app supports our queer community like this app - they have tailored resources for any topic under our colorful umbrella 🏳️‍🌈⛱️ and it’s so easy to use

the guided content has a guided journal to help me keep notes, which is very useful. i’ve gotten a lot out of the Personal Growth and Queer Joy content, and everything else looks very helpful

check it out if you think you could benefit from resources on anything related to life being queer 🌈🪄

Thank you for helping our people!

Our story has always been one of survival, joy, and mutual empowerment. Thank you for creating a new beautiful tool for the next generation. May you be blessed a thousand times over for the gift you have shared with the world. Our ancestors thank you.

Very helpful

I just starting using this, but I feel much better already. The exercises and journaling have helped me identify the underlying reason why I’m upset about a recent event. It’s really helping me process it. The prompts were LBGTQ relevant and you can tell Voda is for our community.

Absolutely love this app

I’ve been struggling due to dysphoria but Voda helped me pull myself together and now I’m not too afraid to correct people who misgender me anymore so all I can say is that downloading Voda is the best choice I’ve ever made

Gift for QT Mental Health

I just came across Voda, and am so thankful for the offerings specific to mental health needs, challenges, and remedies for the queer & trans community. After requesting a scholarship, I was offered one the next day for a whole year! What a true gift!

Love it!

My favorite part is that you can say how you’re feeling and you get an empathetic, caring response!
