Disappointed

2022-05-21

Used to use this every day. Some time ago, it started taking multiple tries to log in. It would say “loading,” run for several minutes, and then say “something went wrong. Please try again.” Sometimes it took 2-3 cycles to actually get to the home screen. I stopped using it. Fast forward several months to today. Loaded the update, and still seeing the same behavior. When it did finally connect, I tried to update my meds/supplements. I made the appropriate changes and tapped “done” and nothing happened. Also tried to delete supplements, and the same thing happened.

Super disappointed because I like BOOSTThyroid, the layout, ease of use, and that I can (could) collect all my data in one place. BOOSTThyroid is basically useless to me now. Guess I’ll have to look elsewhere.

Worst update yet - BMR FEATURE Fail

2022-06-22

So this new version has fully implemented the mysterious BMR feature, which purports to tell you how many calories you should eat to lose the weight you've gained from being hypothyroid. It's a low number of course because the illness lowers your metabolism. It estimates this feature solely from age, height & weight, irrespective of thyroid hormone dose. Since the WHOLE GOAL of medical treatment is to give you enough hormone to return your metabolism to normal, unless BOOSTThyroid takes dosage into account, this estimated number is useless & even anxiety promoting. We hypothyroid people are anxious enough already. When I was diagnosed my Endo told me specifically to STOP DIETING because it's stressful to the thyroid & of itself lowers metabolism. So BOOSTThyroid wants me to eat less than 1000 calories a day. I'm supposed to raise my metabolism with medicine but tank it by ultra-low calories dieting? A better way to check metabolism - which we want to increase not decrease - would be daily body temperatures. Temperatures should replace this horrible BMR feature. Once I have my medicine dosage right, my metabolism will return & my body will go back to maintaining its natural weight setpoint. BOOSTThyroid has lost the plot with this feature. And what's worse, I can't even turn it off! Please fix. Ty.

Great app but I wish I could add my own supplements and medications

2022-07-23

I wish we could add our supplements, the ones listed are general ones but not all Hashimotos patients need those supplements and there are many more that could be added and / or give the function to add your own (such as magnesium, adrenal support) also for medications I wish we could add some as well- for instance what if one has to take an antibiotic for a sickness they came across- it would be nice to be able to add it and then see how that affects the other symptoms and such as well. Or for people who are prescribed to multiple medications besides the thyroid medications. You also wish the notes section allowed more changes so we can comment on specific symptoms we noticed getting better / worse ; or other comments such as on diet and any stressors. If these items were added I wouldn’t have to keep a separate paper journal for my thyroid health and could have it all simply on BOOSTThyroid!!

Besides the above items, I really like BOOSTThyroid. I also really enjoy the random facts and the little boost thyroid robot that gives random facts !! Very creative and makes it more fun/personable. Thank you so much!!

Frustrating

2022-08-24

I would like the graph to use the original measurement preference I use instead of converting it. Makes it really difficult to talk about the range I want to be in when it’s graphed in different units. Otherwise it would be a great app. I also seem to have had trouble deleting a test result that was entered wrong.

Helpful

2022-09-25

BOOSTThyroid is quite helpful, only suggestions I have are adding hives as a symptom as that is a predominant sign of mine — and others I know with hashimotos — flaring up. As well as personalizing meds, I take other meds not related to my thyroid and it’d be cool if you could track them here too to keep it all together. Otherwise great!

Not great, but good, has potential, but I am grateful for the app!

2022-10-26

I like BOOSTThyroid , but I feel that there are definite improvements that could be made to really make it even more helpful to its users.

So Easy to Use

2022-11-27

Love that BOOSTThyroid is so simple and user friendly.
Love that there is a spot to summarize about each day.
Would love to be able to track more symptoms without having to buy premium version!!

Please include extended labs

2022-12-28

Have been looking for an app to track lab trends and BOOSTThyroid looks promising so far. extended labs category are helpful but would like to track additional labs specific to me, and maybe others. I had Grave’s hyperthyroidism s/p RAI, and am now managing sub/clinical hypothyroidism

Please consider adding
- TSI (thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin)

- Lipid panel
- CBC
- CMP

Or, a free text lab section - so we can track additional lab values specific to an individual. Autoimmune diseases affect so much I believe this would broaden the utility of BOOSTThyroid immensely.

So helpful!

2023-01-29

BOOSTThyroid really helps me keep things together and I always have it with me. I love that you can keep notes. Can’t wait for there to be enough info to graph.
I wish you could personalize the medications and supplements. If there was a way to set a alarm or notification through BOOSTThyroid to remind you to take things it would be nice.

I feel understood

2023-03-02

I really appreciate how easy it is to use and find patterns in my thyroid symptoms. The reminders you can set for your supplements are very helpful. The scientific articles are quite informative. They help me feel understood and not so alone.

Love the new symptoms tracking!

2023-03-31

The new Boost symptoms screen is so helpful! I've been using Boost to track how my diet changes have impacted my lab tests and now I can see everything in one place. The articles are really clear (and science-backed!) and answer a lot of my questions about diet and lifestyle changes.

Finally!

2023-05-02

I’ve been waiting so long for someone to make an app like this! I use it constantly to track and manage my thyroid health. It’s convenient and easy to use, and also beautifully designed. Thank you Boost!

Apple Watch

2023-06-02

BOOSTThyroid is great, don’t get me wrong but I believe this could be better with a Apple Watch app by the side of BOOSTThyroid. The Apple Watch has a lot of sensors and monitors it, why not take advantage of it. Like some way to track thyroid levels with the heart rate sensor.

Suggestion

2023-07-04

It would be nice if there is a food tracker as I'm confused about what I can and cannot eat. Some website sites say stat away from certain foods. Other sources say it's ok. I'm getting anxious and afraid to eat.

A much-needed app for thyroid

2023-08-04

My sister recommended it to me and I find it really helpful for tracking symptoms, especially as someone newly diagnosed. Will bring to my next doctor appointment. Looking forward to seeing future updates.

So easy to use

2023-09-05

I love BOOSTThyroid. It makes it so easy to organize and track my symptoms as well as keeping me informed about all the relevant aspects of dealing with thyroid issues.

Amazing!!

2023-10-07

I really like BOOSTThyroid. I’ve found it incredibly useful and informative! But, to the people who run BOOSTThyroid , I have one small request. Can you add hives as a symptom? I find that I and others with Hashimoto’s experience hives in relation to our hypothyroidism. Thank you!! Again, wonderful app. Highly recommend!

Very very helpful

2023-11-07

I’m excited to be using BOOSTThyroid. It’s easy to use and has helpful information. This has been a scary journey for me and my health to find something that helps track and ease my stress have been wonderful. The developer are great communicators. I’ve had question and suggestions and the developer has responded with 24 hours or less each time. If you have recently been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s I recommend BOOSTThyroid as a staging place.

Informational and resourceful

2023-12-09

Easy to focus on your health using BOOSTThyroid. You can track symptoms, make your own daily notes, track medication and/or supplements, enter your lab results, set reminders for yourself, compile the data you’ve entered to see trends or progress, etc. Everything you need for your own personal records regarding your health is in one place... but my favorite thing about BOOSTThyroid is all the information it provides! There is a tab for articles that you can read but there is also information located throughout BOOSTThyroid that explains everything (symptoms, medications, supplements, lab tests, etc.) in simple details. It’s a great app and I highly recommend it!

Best Hashimotos App!

2024-01-09

So great to have a place to track all the pieces of the puzzle. Also, many of the tips and explanations are very helpful. It’s also very refreshing to find some help for hashis that doesn’t also try to sell you something (ie supplements, powders, etc). Thank you!!

Apple Watch

2024-12-16

BOOSTThyroid is great, don’t get me wrong but I believe this could be better with a Apple Watch app by the side of BOOSTThyroid. The Apple Watch has a lot of sensors and monitors it, why not take advantage of it. Like some way to track thyroid levels with the heart rate sensor.

Love this App!

2024-12-16

I love the amount of information you can track daily. It is very helpful to be able to look at your trends. This is a great app.

Great app!

2024-12-16

I am able to keep up with my symptoms, and meds. As well as great information, that teaches me more about treatment of Hashimoto’s! THANKS!!
