Idle Fortress Tower Defense Reviews

It took less than 10 hours be bring my attack power past 300million, health past 100million, and gold to 5 trillion multiple times without any cheats. Even at these stats it took 30minutes to beat the level 50 boss on world 6 at 5x speed. There are people on the wall of fame that apparently have reached hundreds of thousands of levels. If you were to ignore the time spent holding the upgrade button for minimal increases in power, the time it takes to get through each level, and everything else except fighting 1 boss per 50 levels(p.s. there are multiple bosses in between each 10 levels that take about 1/3rd the time of a level 50 boss to beat) it would take more years than the game has been out to complete. The game was only enjoyable up until level 1million attack when I realized that the enemies attacks and health scale to yours. A level 100 attack 100 health would take just as long to beat a world 6 level 50 boss if it has knock back fully upgraded and speed at at least x8.

The progression turns from fun and satisfying on world 1 to unbearably slow and rigorous on just WORLD 2. There’s invisible guys that get a guaranteed hit off your base that are the only reason anyone will ever upgrade defense stats. I’m on world 4 now and can’t even beat it with 1.6+ million health. It isn’t even worth getting past world 2, as world 3 and 4 are just identical copies with different textures and higher numbers. If you wanna play this game, beat world 2 at max, then play something else

I was enjoying this game although it is kind of ad heavy, that was until i got a pop up saying my data will be used and there was no clear way to reject all or even possible way to reject the usage of my data which is not only inconvenient but in direct violation of the GDPR law which requires a clear way to reject all uses of data.

Uninstalling immediately due to violation of privacy laws.

Started off as a really cool game that I genuinely enjoyed, but the longer I played, the more impossible it became to play without paying for something. First they take away your free x2 boosts, then they take away your ads so that you can’t get any boosts at all (“Video not ready” is the excuse), and then they suddenly drop your boss bonus coins to 0. From there, the game becomes impossible to continue. Not to mention the little Gold Tribe event mini game is rigged against you and the coin and gold discount upgrades do absolutely nothing. Find another game to play. Don’t waste your time here.

The gold boss is still broken. I’m on level like 37 or something and the only reason I lose to it is because it doesn’t come out till the timer is half over. THE TIMER SHOULDNT STSRT TILL I CAN HIT THE BOSS. I’ll lose one then the very next one it comes out way earlier near the start of the timer and I destroy the boss. Another thing he can’t be hit sometimes while moving. All he does is move its like you purposely have it programmed to be I kill or based off you’re current stats just so people have to watch an ad to get the gold. So stupid please fix this. Wish I could attach a picture just took one. Lv37 the timer got down to the start of the 7 about 1/4th of the timer is gone before the boss is even on screen and I still can’t hit it cause it’s moving. So stupid

Just another typical phone game that staggers progress significantly unless you watch ads. The remove ads feature is laughably $20. The games progress seems to be intentionally designed to be incremental, which is fine I think those types of games have their own value; but annoyingly advertisements will be prompted on almost every screen. Collecting rewards, finishing stages, finishing achievements, unlocking new content, it’s a lot and frequent. Unless you enjoy feeling being looked at as a walking wallet and customer being sold something, as opposed to just being able to enjoy a game and the experience it offers, I’d say find something better.

The game is overall good, but it takes a LOT of time to get anywhere. World 3 is hard to get past, but once you do you can make it through 4 and much of 5 quite quickly.

My current issue is that I seem to be unable to get ads, which becomes necessary to advance. I can’t seem to get ads for the Gold Tribe, Daily Rewards, or to speed up Lab. It’s really making late game impossible and I suspect it’s to cause frustration and get me to put money in, which I haven’t done and refuse to do. Ad revenue should be more than enough with how much I’ve played.

Overall a good game, fix the issues and I will increase my rating.

Game needs a lot more content. More cards, worlds, lab research, and defenses. The defenses are pretty much useless. No matter how far you upgrade them any boss lv 50 or above will kill you in two hits. One to drop your shield the other to finish you. I completed the lv 50 boss on all 4 worlds without any base defenses. The coin discount ratio needs to either be adjusted or there needs to be a way to upgrade it in the lab as well. This was also something I never used as it was way to expensive to upgrade and at the rate you could did virtually nothing to reduce the fast growing price of in game upgrades. Finally the damage on the satellites and mines needs to go way up. Both are useless at anything higher than wave 30. The game is fun, but a lack of actual worlds, and further content has left it rather stagnant.

Great game really fun but you’ll find yourself watching ads like that’s all the game is. I was going to buy the no ads feature but it’s 30$ which is unrealistic and absurd for just some cute mobile game. Anywhere between 1-5$ absolute would have bought it without a second thought.

The ads aren’t “required” but you’ll be progressing extremely slowly without them.

If you like cute idle games and watching more ads then you’ve ever seen before in one place. This is the game for you

The game is fun but I wish the card upgrades were a little more varied. Boss bugs at higher levels are also frustrating. Levels 69, 79, 89 and 99 bosses take an extraordinary amount of time to beat (not been able to get past 99). To those having issues with bosses in general you need to open/upgrade Stun and Knockback. Otherwise you get pounded in 2 shots. With the boss bug I mentioned the boss will just bounce on you. Takes little damage and dishes out no damage to you. Fun but flawed.

Edit: You can get past some of these bosses by playing at 4x speed and going to settings and then back to the game AND THEN setting the speed to 1x. Mess around a bit like that and it is possible to progress. Up to wave 109 now. Still feels a bit wonky to have to do that.

Good overall game but needs a lot of balancing
1. Bosses have way too much HP for a boss that’s so weak it can’t kill me it has so much HP so neither can I especially past 50
2. Those invis guys are way too OP they hit like a truck and you can’t kill them before they hit you
Few suggestions is just lower their damage or you can use a card to make them not invisible within a certain radius to have at least a chance to Kiel them
3. While we’re talking about cards you call some cards legendary that I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole. Even fully upgraded 7 percent discount is nothing in what world would that ever be useful maybe it would be useful at 25 percent or higher but id rather have not the only card with balancing issues but that one is completely useless

Amazing gameplay for the first few days, but can start to feel dry after enough upgrades have been bought. A lot of other simulation games have this same flaw but offer other ways of staying engaged, repetition is fun sometimes but not while receiving less for the same amount of time.

The game is fun, and the right amount of challenging. There is one annoying issue that I’ve experienced though. Every time there is an ad after a battle it freezes my game. I haven’t had a single time where this didn’t happen. It’s a quick fix just quit and re open the game. Other than that the game is great.

Like the idea of the game along with the graphics, few problems. In most recent update watching an add for any benefits just does not work anymore. Along with this it got rid of the upgrade that increases the amount of coins gained each round which was super important. Not sure if this was purposeful but I miss this upgrade dearly.

I couldn’t see a better way to report a bug. Pre-purchasing the silver discount upgrade not only does not apply the upgrade, you can’t like in-round buy the upgrade and have it apply, either. I really like this game so such a detrimental bug is pretty frustrating

I would really like to see a discord or something other than just updates listed under here for comments from the dev. Game is great upgrading seems fair.

I’ve played hundred and hundreds of both idle games and tower defense games. I must say this has been the most enjoyable I’ve come across so far.

The leveling system is very simplistic yet still rewarding and progress is easily achievable. Idle rewards take just a second to claim, and with the amount of in game diamonds you achieve through normal gameplay, it makes it a non P2W kind of game.

It’s been my go to on breaks at work the last 3 weeks or so, and I’m still not bored and don’t see an end to my playing in the near future.

Must add, when you choose to watch ads to double rewards, occasionally it will say ad not available, but if you swipe out of IdleFortressTowerDefense or swipe down and bring your accessories up, then enter back, the ad is available. No issues playing any ad and the rewards are worthwhile imo.

Great game and can’t see what comes next! (2nd world, wave 39, and just got the gold events recently, making easy 70K gold twice daily, more if I watch ads!)

I have very much enjoyed my time with this game. Only thing I’d say is to let it save your progress to your iCloud. I deleted the game and when I re-downloaded the next day all my progress was gone. The game itself has a good flow, the money give for upgrades isn’t aggravatingly slow and the upgrades feel useful. The ads aren’t too excessive and are on your choice to further your progress. I went looking for another one to replace this after I lost my progress but they all sucked and so I am back again to grind at it. Thanks for the game!

One of the best mobile idle games I’ve ever seen. Amazing graphics, steady progression, loads of content, and plenty of strategy. I believe this game has an invaluable design and end product, and should be played by many. I rate this game 5 stars out of 5 due to all of its creative, innovative, and otherwise clever features. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for an idle game, a mobile game that takes a lot of time, or something just for fun here and there.

It’s a classic defense game but there are so many choices on what to upgrade you have to be strategic about.

If you really want to move up, watch ads and get all kinds of cool stuff. When you’re just starting out, attack speed and strength are more important than health. Then work on health and then work on special stuff like multi shot and double shot.

Really fun!
