The game is super simple and one dimensional. Outproduce them and you win. Get outproduced and you lose. Literally every level is whether or not you're quick enough to seize a logistical advantage and then wait out the game taking however long it takes for you to whittle down their numbers. Boring.

Worse than that, however, is the way the game handles contested towers. If control a tower ping pongs back and forth, it doesn't remember which tower you're attacking when you lose control of that tower, which means you need to manually redraw the attack vector for every tower to take over. However, the computer doesn't have to. It can redraw their attack instantly the very moment it changes over to their control. So if it's a special tower (defense or attack), you will lose every single contest unless your numbers are overwhelming. Nice game design.

Did these devs even test their game or did they just mash out another vehicle to make money on microtransactions?

Yes there are some levels that you have to use power ups because the way they place the towers. I haven’t spent any money but I’ve needed powers ups on maybe 10 levels. I’m on level 238 and the past 20 or so levels are way to easy I feel like they repeat levels or something. It’s weird the levels don’t just keep getting harder. It’s like you reach a level where you are at a stand still all your towers are maxed and all of their towers are maxed nobody can win. So you have to use power ups in order to win. Then the next 10-20 levels are pretty easy. Until you reach another level where you are at a stand still. I haven’t played a level that I couldn’t beat yet getting kinda boring.

I agree with the other reviews here. I contacted the developer letting them know that there are levels that can’t be passed without ads (or pay, which should both provide the developer some kickback), and then constantly says “no ad ready“ and it stays that way permanently. The game is useless after 60 to 90 levels depending on how many of the freebie powerups you use earlier. Huge surprise, Never heard back from the developer even when providing my email. They are only here for the quick “no ads“ purchases even though we still DO watch ads to get the power ups. SCAM

Game is simple but fun to play. I enjoyed game enough to pay for no ads. Problem is once you purchase, the option to earn extra coins and free power ups goes away. The reason is ConquerTheTower makes you watch ads to get these items. Since you paid not to have ads, you cannot access items that require you to watch ads. So people who pay for app get penalized and cannot get extra goodies. I would rate 5stars if not for this problem.

More trash for ConquerTheTower Store. Made the mistake of buying the no-ads option. Now the next day I’m 100% stuck on level 66 with an absolutely unfair advantage and is impossible to beat without help, but GUESS WHAT!! The ads you can watch for power ups don’t work. Go figure, I spend money and then this trash. Deleting and this should be reported to Apple as a rip-off. Scammers!!!!

Hit a wall at iOS level 163, hours and days, over and over, the yellow team just feeds upon itself and is not beatable. I’m an above average IQ and can solve any puzzle, this is not a puzzle it is impossible. Ruined the game for me. Fix lv 163 and I’ll keep playing

Ads started autoplaying - seeming during the middle of games - after level 6. (Before that no ads unless you wanted extra gold.) Very annoying.

The game is awesome and I really enjoy

Game is fun, but when you hit level 60 it becomes impossible to win without powerups, and the payout is trash so it takes forever to get the powerups without ads.

After level 100 it becomes almost impossible to win unless you fork over money to these people pathetic.

I like games like this and its not bad. The ads ruined the game. I made it to level 7 and just got tired of the ads.

You should be able to watch the ads for upgrades after you help pay for the game. FIX THIS!!!

At some point it becomes impossible to win if you don’t spend money.

Do not put any money into this game. The game uses endless buffs to your limited number of buffs.

Do not purchase Ad Free. You still watch all of the ads.
