I tried I really did try with ProvenanceApp. But to be honest and I don’t mean to come off as a jerk but I’d be embarrassed to put ProvenanceApp on ProvenanceApp Store. Why put something like this out with so many bugs. The last update just made it worse in my opinion. This isn’t the Provenance app I remember using years ago. At one time this would have been my go to emulator but this is just sad. The bios with ps1 games won’t work. I think it says it supports ps1 but it’s a complete mess. The layout with the whole app is bad. Delta is much better with button layout on n64 games and as a whole. Delta won’t play ps1 roms either but it makes up for it with its ease of use. I was excited when I heard ProvenanceApp was coming to ProvenanceApp Store. But man what a let down. Remove ProvenanceApp from the store please.

Ever since downloading ProvenanceApp my phone has been messing up, glitching, shutting down on me, getting stuck on a black screen and I have to manually restart it. ProvenanceApp opens about 50% of the time, the other 50% it just straight shuts down and closes. I uploaded a game but after trying so many times it finally uploaded, and let me play a black screen! It’s not worth my phone glitching and messing up to not even get to play. I had high hopes for the 3ds emulation but you can’t use it

I see why Apple took a long time to approve ProvenanceApp. 3ds screen shrinks when you switch between landscape and portrait. Having slow downs in simple games such has psx. Uses outdated RetroArch build. It allows you to import Dreamcast and PS2 ROMs but ProvenanceApp will never play it so it’s just bloat. I was really looking forward to ProvenanceApp. If you want simplicity use Delta. If you want more systems just use RetroArch. I was expecting more polish considering the devs push and cry for it to be put on AppStore.

This would be amazing if it wasn’t as buggy as it is. ProvenanceApp crashes half of the time I open it, and it takes 5+ minutes to load files stored locally on my Iphone. A personal experience I had with ProvenanceApp was when I tried to play Sonic Adventure. ProvenanceApp marked it as a PSP game, when Sonic Adventure is a Dreamcast game. ProvenanceApp lists the Dreamcast as an available emulator, but it wouldn’t work.

Currently have a backbone controller. I love ProvenanceApp so much and love to play retro games but so far it is not working out. Can you maybe look into. Other than that truly thank you for coming to ProvenanceApp Store. I am looking forward to using it more. Also will for sure glad I didn’t join provenance plus because than I would have been upset. Thanks for looking into my request. Other than that great app.

I’ve been following the battle with ProvenanceApp Store review team patiently waiting for ProvenanceApp to get approved. Well the day is finally here, and now I just have to wait for button mapping to be added. I love the idea of an all in one, and it runs games well, but without the ability to remap my controller, it can’t replace my current emulators. Dev, if the feature is there and I’m just too dumb to find it, please let me know and I’ll update the review. Otherwise, I’ll just keep waiting!

honestly i was just gonna be chillin because the new provenance app got approved and i was suprised there was 3DS and i hurried and got the roms and what could u tell it crashed, i even tried lowering and optimizing settings because i thought my ipad 8th gen couldn’t run it, sadly it still didnt work. devs if u are looking at this review can u check and do something about it please i would be grateful that u do :D
maybe it could be the problem between cia and .3ds formats

ProvenanceApp is pretty much good,but i would like you guys to fix the problem with the screen shrinking by landscape and portrait,and when I try to put a game (3DS) it’s always crashing,overall if you guys fix this bug I would be happy !!

I know ProvenanceApp is just getting started, but, when I tried to play a 3DS game, no sound is coming out. At all (I even checked if my volume is on, or my ringer is turned on). And it looks like the speed of it is actually decent quality (without JIT, at 20% cpu clock speed). Another thing is that, why do i have playstation buttons for a 3ds game? Am i doing something wrong here?

The 3ds games work,but for some reason it keeps on crashing when I try to play my Pokémon Ultra moon games after I adjust the 3DS settings

Or whenever I add cheats and press the buttons I need for the cheats the work it doesn’t do that and after a while it doesn’t let me use cheats and crashes

I’m emulating on an iPad Pro 11 inch and also an iPhone 14 pro max. Playing on my iphone has proven to be tedious because of the layout for some of the controls like the 3DS controls. Maybe i haven’t found the right settings but i haven’t been able to move around the layout so the buttons aren’t in the way so i’ve been primarily using my iPad because the Apple Pencil is a good stand in for a 3DS stylus. There’s also some input issue? I can click somewhere and it will click a couple centimeters above where i clicked which is a hassle. Another thing is i’m not able to use joycon as a controller? I’m not trying to do anything crazy. But the A and B buttons and X and Y buttons are all switched around, which gets annoying if you’re playing a rhythm game or a game where there aren’t any alternate inputs approved in game. Hopefully the joycon issue gets supported, as i would love playing on it instead of using the touchscreen

To be honest haven’t opened it yet, but I believe I believe in trial by fire. I have all the Pokemon games on Delta up to Black 2, when I’m done I’m gonna switch over to here and play the 3ds Pokemon games and decide which one I like more. It should take me around 2 months to finish so you got time. If it’s up to my standards I’ll improve to 5 stars. Believe in you big Joe

Definitely would say that this can be a great application that be a competition to a few applications once it has been fully developed, theres quite a few bugs that will need to be worked out

I gave it a 4. cause I know it’s gonna get better. I used Provenance from the Build Store for years and it was the best emulator of all. It’s ease importing games setting up controllers and the fact it covered all the emulators I wanted made it a hands down winner. And when I saw I was able to play Colecovision I almost cried. I know some of you are having issues but I’m sure they all be addressed. Joseph is a smart guy.

When I got ProvenanceApp I springed in joy when I realized that it had the jaguar emulator so I decided to download and play all 3 rayman versions available for the jag untill I realized that it has 2 cores
And one of them was retroarch and the retroarch core was finicky because to scroll you needed to use the scrollbar and if you ever wanted to schange the controls or save the game it’l just take you back to the main retroarch menu! Otherwise it’s a pretty good emulator hope that this bug gets fixed.

First of all I love the fact that 3Ds emulation is in ProvenanceApp Store, also this is a really good app but there are some issues I have that I hope get fixed soon.
Switch controllers like joy-cons cannot be mapped.
Miis faces are messed up and look very bad, and in also in Tomodachi Life not only do the miis look weird but every time there is something that makes the 3Ds use it’s keyboard it defaults to Citra so please allow the 3Ds keyboard. But not including those issues I hope ProvenanceApp does really well and has an amazing future with many more consoles to come.

Amazing emulation (took a minute, but it worked) for everything. One unfortunate thing though, is the lag. there are frequent screen freezes and glitches in the audio when on a 3ds game. Besides that, everything is smooth!

Honestly the game was good over nice and when I first got it and would switch the landscape and portrait I thought it was bad till I uninstalled and reinstalled it and the problem was fixed. But some games like super Mario 3D land don’t run as good as the others and it doesn’t really bother if it’s not really laggy. And I tried the Wii games and it set a psp. The game is good but please fix the bug issues with the games and stuff.

Im leaving a 5 star because i think its really good! like this is the only app on ProvenanceApp store currently that has 3ds emulation. i want to play it but there is one problem. it keeps crashing upon opening! can you please fix this? also my ipad is gen 6 so i understand if you cant fix it. I just realized my ipad is IOS 17.7.4. can you make it compatible?

I have been waiting for Apple to approve this for so long! I have used your app for ages through side loading, and am so excited to finally have a non-side loaded app for my PSX. Waiting for payday, but I’ll be one of your first lifetime purchasers!
