I’ve had nothing but problems and haven’t got a seed to fully sprout

The concept behind the Hey Abby is cool, the execution however is not. 1. Way too small of a container for nearly a grand, especially when the light is so weak. 2. It does not regulate the environmental conditions. 3. heyabby is clunky and logs me out often, requiring me to repair the device. 4. The information on heyabby is good for those who have experience, but saying anyone can grow while providing little help is false advertising. 5. It’s a crowd funded project yet they mark everything up to make as much profit as possible from that crowd who helped fund them.

Overall, I highly recommend a tent along with the equipment for a fraction of the price to get 10x better results.

You would think that for as much of an integral part heyabby is to their products, it’d be a lot better. The discord server is cool, a bunch of people sharing the same frustrations and a handful of knowledgeable folks trying to help keep things afloat. heyabby really could be a lot better and for this to be worth it, it needs to improve or be overhauled entirely. There is word of an update with considerable improvements down the pipeline and I hope that’s true. I’ll wait for that to come out before I consider revising this review but until then it looks like I’m stuck with this junk

The 16 hour light schedule the light is supposed to be off it will not turn off and I can’t get in contact with anyone so I’m posting it here

Ex: next stage unlock.
The actions are in the log but the phase is still grey shadowed out and still closed.

I’ve been using heyabby for quite a while now. It works well for some things, and for others, it does not. When you take the fan off of the auto setting, heyabby works well and is very fast to adjust the settings in real time (you can hear the fans getting louder or quieter.) The weekly tasks with the videos are ok. Some things I do not like are that heyabby will say the plant environment is bad, but when I look at the water temperature, air temperature and humidity levels, they all say ideal. It also says the plant light is off when it’s actually on. I’ve reset it to see if that helps and it does not. heyabby still needs some work to truly be a better tool for the hey Abby users

A great grow box from a new, up and coming company. The hardware is excellent (except for an overestimation of its odor filter - they say it can’t remove the smell entirely so maybe it’s my fault thinking that my entire first floor wouldn’t smell).

Software … could use some work. Fairly buggy, could use some UI/UX improvements. That said, in the few months that I’ve had the box there have been several improvements to heyabby that have elevated the experience. Before long, as long as they keep soliciting feedback and iterating heyabby , I fully expect them to be ready for the mainstream instead of just early adopters.

Does what it needs to do for process automation… but any kind of “live help” assistance or guides are poorly designed, hard to follow, out of order or not on the right cycle of time… new updates break things and make it borderline if not entirely unusable.

Abby growing is great fun! It happens so fast and the harvest was great. I already have my next grow started. Can’t wait to top it and watch it go. I would recommend Abby to anyone looking for a good quick personal grow.

I have had an incredible experience with customer service. Originally I bought one off eBay and it came to my house all dented, so I sent it back. Ordered 4 OG boxes off their website and luckily all of them showed up with little to no damage.

So far I have 3 boxes in pro mode and am almost done with a full harvest. The 1 box I left in the easy mode - I love all the features of the calendar and suggestions it gives you throughout the lifespan of your plant. So far these are the best crops I have ever grown, can’t wait for harvest!

Had an issue. Called support. In less then 10 minutes I had a replacement part on the way.
Total peace of mind.

Idk why there’s so many one stars tbh. The only stress I’ve had with heyabby (and the grow box) is through my own ignorance. Great app with updates consistently making it better. Kind, friendly people trying to help beginners grow!
