Doesn’t work

2024-10-12

Audio doesn’t work. Can’t hear the pronunciation of any words.

Difficult to use

2024-07-03

To start, let me say that I very much appreciate the spirit behind IndylanLearnIndigenousLangs. As a saami who has had trouble finding a way to learn my heritage language, I appreciate the effort put into this. However, the interface is simply poorly designed. It assumes you already know the basics of saami, even in the “beginner” lessons. It does not teach verb or adjective conjugations, which are very important in saami, and it seems to be simply for review. It does not save your progress, and overall is not useful for building up your knowledge from nothing.

No sound

2024-10-12

I was excited to try IndylanLearnIndigenousLangs for saami language. I’m not getting any sound and there are no options for changing settings. I also was looking for support and can’t find anything online properly to contact tech. I feel disappointed.

Great Idea- Needs Technical Updating

2024-07-03

I LOVE the idea of IndylanLearnIndigenousLangs , these are dying languages and as a Sámi, learning Northern Sámi is important to me.
However, I can’t even get into IndylanLearnIndigenousLangs without it kicking me out. It states it’s either timed out or had a interface error.
I hope the issue resolves soon, and that feedback is taken from other reviews as learning a language is difficult even with all the information, much less if there is stuff being left out!

This is amazing!

2024-01-05

I’ve been searching AGES for this! And it’s here! Duolingo doesn’t have this, so I’m happy that there is a place to learn Northern Sámi!

Update: The Sound Is Not Working.

Pros and Cons

2024-07-03

I am Saami and have been trying to find a way to learn more about my heritage and language. It has been difficult to find and even have the opportunity to learn a little about the saami language.
Although this is amazing and is great for endangered languages I think it needs more if you really want to be able to speak saami semi-fluently. It is more of an addition to basic lessons. I still think you should install it and have some fun but if you really want to learn you have to know some basics.

Two of my interest

2023-06-07

Finally found this. I am interested in Cornish and Scots as part of my family history. In addition Basque is taught locally, this will be a great resource if I pursue Basque.
I continue to learn, the sound portion is great for pronunciation.
