I sincerely really enjoyed this game until I got to the point where some “decisions” cost coins and rubies, like a lot of other games I quit playing. I understand needing to make money, but I’ve played plenty of other hidden find games that don’t force it, like Unsolved mysteries. That’s the best hidden find game I’ve ever played. If you got rid of this feature and implemented another feature instead but didn’t force it down people’s throats, I’d change my rating and play again. But until than, I’ll play the others. I even buy stuff from those games just because I love them and they DONT force you to. But just to even really advance in the game properly, you have to pay to make those decisions and that’s absolutely wild to me.

I loved that you can use coins and gems to get thru difficult challenges or for hints. But now only allowing you to play up to a certain point with the energy is too much. Might as well just download each game individually. Also, I haven’t been on in a couple days and my energy is at 0. It didn’t even recharge while I was away. The best part about these games was that you could play at your own speed. You could fly thru it or take your time. But now it’s up to how much energy you have. Go back to the way it was, please. The fun has been taken out of it.

I loved this game, up until the latest update. Love there is no ads, I stopped playing most of all the other apps and only play Mystery Files. After the last update the three games I was in the middle of don’t work. One screen is all black, another one just shuts down MysteryFiles when I open it and the other one I need the map to proceed which I did have at one point but it suddenly disappeared from my items collected. I have had to delete the games which I was in the middle of because I couldn’t proceed my further. I lost all progress only to replace it with an additional games that doesn’t work. Most upset that I have wasted my coins that I was collecting thinking I was missing the next step somehow. I’ve wasted at least 60 coins, keys as well as the red gems. Only to replace it with another game that doesn’t work. One of the newer games I downloaded is stuck on “preparing the new location”. So basically I can no longer play any of the games. I’m so irritated that I wasted everything and yet still can’t play. I am going to have to find a different app, one that works and I wont throw all the time I spent and progress I made when the game stops working and wont let you proceed any further. Prior to this I would have given it 5 stars.

Many glitches. While in a game and solving a puzzle, it kicks you out and makes you start all over freezes and doesn’t allow you to pick things up. Doesn’t allow to use things drop things that you have that you weren’t able to use and then while you’re in the middle of a game, it will put you back to the beginning of game and take all the stuff away so you can solve the game, constantly running out of energy and you shouldn’t have to pay

I absolutely love the game! However, there are times where I use gems to solve puzzles and the game will exit and I will be out those gems and have to pay more gems. Also, in 2 games I’m stuck on the level as it won’t let me pass the puzzle and when I use gems it shows be the area but won’t let me click. On another game I’m t ET I go to click a picture to go to another area and the picture won’t go away. Probably going to delete 😭

I started with one story, but seemed to be stuck. So I usually don’t use google to figure these games out, but I genuinely couldn’t get any farther in the game. Upon googling the game, I believe my game may be bugged. As the stories walkthrough online showed that I had done all I could, but was not allowing me to “throw the vase” which in turn would not let me progress in the game. So I have since started a different story because I love these kinds of games! Other than the small mishap, I love it so far!

While I really enjoyed the plots and visuals, frankly a lot of the controls sucked or didn’t work intuitively. I just played the snowy peak hotel mystery which included a truly atrocious recipe mini game where you mixed powders into liquids and then measured them out. The powers were coded so that each color had to go into each flask in a certain order (despite that not at all mattering to the game) so I spent several frustrating minutes trying to out the powders in the flasks because you had to use the correct blue powder first into the correct flask etc etc (again, irrelevant to gameplay) and then the developers attempted to make the water look realistic which mostly meant that the measures looked half filled and you hoped for the best. The briefcase gear game was similarly bad, and I had to look up a solution because it made no sense.

Beyond that the hint system seems pretty broken. I’d use it (costing coins) and it would prompt me to something on the screen which didn’t help because I needed to find the parts to play the game or solve the puzzle, which the hint system couldn’t help with. It also felt non responsive and I’d have to tap things several times or I felt like I alway had to drag things from inventory to have them interact with the game.

The game is good and the visuals are great but two main complaints to the developers:

1) other games similar to this have a feature where when you click an item it shows you the title of what it is. This is a great feature because sometimes i pick something up and i literally have no clue what it is and have to just to just test it out on each page because i cannot tell if its a pencil or a rod (just an example, not literal) i just wish each item had a tiny title

2) if you don’t know to go back to the main menu to CLAIM your reward, you lose it. This one is RIDICULOUS to me because do you WANT to give me the reward OR NOT? Like why not just give it to us why do we have to go in this wild goose chase to get it?

These two things make it hard for me to care for this game versus other apps like “Unsolved”

the game is fun and there are a lot of different puzzles and interesting stories. i got through a few stories just fine and then i started noticing a lot of bugs. one story got stuck on a frozen, zoomed-in view of a decision and i couldn’t finish it. another story has a puzzle that is impossible to finish. i’ve tried a lot of times to do it and watched many videos, but no one can do it. this same story is also saying i haven’t finished it, even though i finished it last night. now, i’m trying to play through another story and the mini game isn’t working how it should. i’m supposed to hit a piñata with a power bar above it that’ll break the piñata after a few hits, but the bar is frozen and i can’t break it. i just started that story and i already can’t do anything else bc of this bug.

the fun lasts for a few days and then it just gets frustrating.

Why did you change the way the games work? I downloaded this game because you didn’t have to pay for the games. Now you have to have a key for each new location. You have to pay to get the keys or purchase with rubies. And it’s hard to accumulate the rubies if you don’t play or pay… Please go back to the way it was or I will have to delete it.

This is fun game. It actually has multiple games. It is a choice game however, you don’t have to spend any money. You just miss a few extra puzzles. They are pretty fast games, but the puzzles are more challenging than the other seek and find games I play, so it still takes me a few hours to play.

This game is very fun. I actually do enjoy playing it… when I can get it to work. I also love how there are several different cases inside one app. However, I have had several glitches/bugs within MysteryFiles . In order for it to be free, you can only have so many “cases” open at once. Currently, I have 4 cases open- 3 of which, I cannot finish due to bugs. It literally will say “there’s nothing left to do here.” The 4th one won’t even download and anytime I click on it, it just gives a pop up saying error. Once all of your “free spaces” are taken up you have to spend money to get diamonds and open another. Which, I did. I had diamonds left over even after opening the space. Once I completed that case, all diamonds disappeared. I have emailed the support email listed on MysteryFiles TWICE, with zero response. They keep updating MysteryFiles , but don’t seem to be fixing any issues.

You can get a bunch of games and puzzles are typical of these kinds of games. I’ve only completed one so far and just started a second. Sometimes the touch in iOS is glitchy and you think you’ve exhausted your options but you watch a video and they’ll tell you your next move is in a place you’ve clicked extensively already, knowing what you need is water, for example, but your clicking hasn’t yielded water. I like them overall.

I love this game soo much!! This is the only game I’ve ever bought in app purchases from, because I just couldn’t stop playing… I love love Love that there are multiple games and story lines available on one app, instead of having to download and delete multiple one-story games. Unfortunately, there are a few games with bugs that make them unplayable after a certain point, even after deleting progress and restarting. And the “coming soon” games take a long time to come. I’ve played every available game in MysteryFiles and I just wish there were more to play… favorite game I’ve ever downloaded!!

When I first seen this game I thought it was interesting and I really liked the story line and I solved one game and I like the fact that you can play more than one but were you lost me was I had found a object and I couldn’t solve the puzzle so I took a break and when I came back the piece was gone and I couldn’t get it back and I started another one and the game wouldn’t let me go any further

Great puzzle games are hard to find and I am sooo glad to have found this game. Puzzles are challenging and I did finish one chapter now.
I do think maybe the storyline could be a more character based too and their interactions, but it is such a small issue compared to all the great things about the game.
Kudos to the developers for this game and please keep more coming!!

So this has to be one of if not the best mystery games. I love that you don’t have to wait for lives to recover to do things and that there are a variety of story types. The one major flaw is having to pay to put puzzles on easy mode. I feel like it should be the opposite, or once you complete a puzzle you can try it on hard

Had lots of fun have loved these games since I was kid, but there’s not a lot. You can find nowadays without the energy where it has to wait to reload and this one gives you all the game. The only thing you really need for is coins and it’s for hints and you can even watch ads to earn some if you need them that bad so altogether it’s a great game.

I rarely do these written reviews. But it’s so fun to not need “energy” or ads to keep playing in a game, no matter how many taps on the screen (as long as I don’t tap too fast lol). You do need keys to enter a new area, which you automatically get back every day. A good way to keep you from being on the game too much. Love this game and would definitely recommend.

Mystery game that doesn’t require money! I have recommended this to a friend as well and we both are hooked on it.
The mysteries are not too easy to solve, need to think outside of the box and refer to context clues. There are also many storylines to complete.
Recommend to play this game with audio on, it makes it so much better!

There are 2 things about this game that I don’t like. 1 is that the clues cost money. There is no wait for refill option. The other is that it’s harder than I thought. The second one isn’t so bad since I like to be challenged. I do love the graphics and there isn’t any crashing.
