First your dark mode doesn’t work properly. When I zoom in to see the objects better the lit up circle won’t move around with my finger?! Objects won’t recognize my taps either! I’ve tapped an taped thinking 🤔 do I have the wrong item? Then I use hint and it was the right item! Also your sense aren’t very clear. I have great 20/20 am thought dang do I need glasses?... nope it’s the way it’s designed I’ve had others try to play an they say the same thing. Another is the glitchy feel. I play around 20 of your games just like this one and they are not as bad as this one. To be honest the only one you guys did a killer job on is hidden city! That one is by far your best energy/point click hidden object one! So please take the time to clean these other ones up bring the caliper up. Oh one more thing too. I’ve supported your games I bought gems etc why do I have to have pop up ads? That’s insane many people spend an we shouldn’t have to deal with pop up ads for your other games every 3 mins!!! Makes me want to delete all of them tbh😔🤬
Hard to get started

I am a beginner. Just started yesterday. Beginning the operas with Aida is particularly hard because the objects are so very unfamiliar. I would start the game with La Traviata. Also, I formed my first collection and have played the jewel puzzle eight times to get the treble clef I need to assemble it. I have come away six times with nothing and the other two times with other items than I need. The jewel puzzle is very hard for me. I am much better at searching for things. At this point I am contemplating quitting the game after only one day. Adding this later. The number of time I have to go in and win before I finally get the item I am looking for is exasperating! I am also finding that unless you want to spend the money on tools there is no real learning curve accommodation foe getting to know the items in a new opera and they are often quite obscure. The rate that diamonds are doled out is unconscionable. One per level!
Give me more energy!

I love the game, but I want to be able to play it for more than a few minutes a day! It is absolutely ridiculous that my energy is replenished by 1 energy point every 3 minutes, when most operas/mini games require 36-85 points energy each - and most give you just three minutes to search! (And I’m so good at some that it takes just 30 seconds!) I know it’s to get us to spend money on food/drinks to replenish our energy, but I’m already spending money on binoculars all the time to find the insanely hidden items that just can’t be seen on my older iPad. Yes, you can get 100 energy points every 8 hours by clicking on a stage icon (I set my watch to remind myself!) and when you level up you max out, but that is not enough when you get past the first levels. I’m on level 38, so obviously I love it, yet I contemplate quitting all the time because of the energy issue. I seriously just can’t believe when I click to explore La Boheme (which requires 85 energy points to play) and the screen pops up to say “Wait 3:25:12 or Buy Energy”! I am so frustrated that I can spend only 10 minutes a day (if I time it right) playing this game without spending money. If I want to play for an hour, and I wait for the diamonds to go on sale, it’s still at least $10! Unless you’re rich or only have a few minutes a day to play, don’t start this game.
Asks for review too early

I’ve only just started playing so this review is based on the first 20 minutes of play ever. As always these games get you thru the levels and gameplay pretty quickly so your interest is held. You get collection items, tools, coin and extra energy very fast. In my experience (especially with G5 apps) this good fortune will not last long so enjoy the experience while you can. MysteryoftheOpera transitions very slowly between searches so expect it to take a while to move thru the game. I think this game has good potential and I’m willing to give a little time and energy to see how it comes along. Not yet willing to give it money though.
These games are great except when you are playing the special events challenges. The time given to you to search items are short and fast. Probably good for people who are expert with these games but for people like me who are just average and just want to enjoy the game is frustrating. Also, the items you need to complete the game are very hard to find. You have certain time and date to complete each events but you can't complete them if you can't find the items. I've looked for days and spent hours to find one item to complete my collection, still looking mind you but I haven't found it yet. I shouldn't have to rely on my friends to complete these challenges because for sure if I'm having a very hard time to find the items, they are too. There are times when you finished searching the scene; you don't get anything. "Found nothing" I hate it when these shows up. Maybe once or twice but 3, 4 or even 5 times in a row that's just ridiculous. Another thing I don't like about these games is when an advertisement pops up, visit my friends site and accept their gifts then go back home, the game locks up and lose everything. Maybe these issues should be look at and find solutions.

Generally I find the game interesting although there are certain scenes I can never complete. I like the scenes that are in my mind are winnable. Yes I would recommend the game to others.
One comment about all the games is that under each player when you give gifts especially is to know the last time they played as I don’t like giving gifts to people who aren’t going to use them. After a period of time they should be removed from the list of players.
Very early review

It’s too early to rate higher than 3stars. This is extremely similar to twin moon society. It is very misleading what the story is about. You are made to think that it is about “The Phantom of the Opera” but as soon as you begin playing it is clear that it is not. I love that there are achievements! I play a lot of G5 games and there are many that do not have them even though they fall under the same category of type of games they are, ex. Hidden City: Mystery of Shadows does not but Secret Society and Seeker’s Notes do have them. Achievements help tremendously, all the games should have them!!!
Okay but could be better

I do like that you learn a little about what each opera is about but some of the hidden objects are hard to find because the game goes to silhouette mode too early. Being unfamiliar with the objects is hard enough in the beginning but then to only have them as silhouettes—I find I’m using too many hints to find them. 😐 It should be we get a little used to the things we are hunting, then go to silhouette mode. Also asking for a rating when a player has barely begun to play the game is not good.
Loved the Game But . . .

I really like this game, but there is not enough time to search most scenes. It’s usually a loss of time because the scenes are extremely crowded and you lose time if you click on the wrong item. Too bad. A really beautiful artistry that can’t truly be enjoyed. Should be much more time per scene and get rid of the loss of time penalty. Maybe there should be an untamed option. Even enlarging the scenes is insufficient to make out quite a few objects. Because of the loss of time coupled with the loss of time crowded scenes, am deleting game. Too bad because it really is a beautiful game. Maybe it’s meant for teens and twenty-somethings.
I feel I’m being dragged from one place to another without fully know why or what is being accomplished except for the constant price of gems and coins. I am to find the caste to but am sent to locate the vanilla bean. However neither are hidden among the objects to be found. I’m teased by the string game but the game machine gets to play with it more than I do. I’m shown the spot to link the string to so to untangle it. But once on my own to do that, the spots total disappear.
Is this really a game or a broken toy sent to the trash? Where’s the addiction of playing a game that doesn’t play? I won’t stay for long at this rate. Can anyone explain the attraction beyond learning a bit more about operas?
Iffy game

I love the premise of this game, but the items are difficult to find within the scene & I have great vision! It is like they did this on purpose so you would be forced to use their tools which leads to overpriced purchases of gems ! Another greedy game by G5. I think it is ridiculous that you can’t use your coins in the store to purchase items, but NO you may only use the gems; which are scarcely awarded during play.
It is sad, because I love G5 games that they don’t design the game from a player’s perspective. In order to play all of their games, the amount of gems/rubies require versus what you receive during play is woefully skewed against the player !
Very sad.....
Really?

I really liked this game until it got expensive which was pretty fast. And as the levels get harder it’s not possible to find some items unless you pay tor hints. Those aren’t really hints they are answers. Hints mean it might be hard to find items but possible which is not true in this game so what you’re buying are answers. I don’t really see the fun in a game that you can’t play without being given the answers. You should be more honest about it and just charge for the game instead of making it seem like all the items even though hard to find could be found without paying for hints. Not really a game if the items can’t be found without hints.

I have only played a handful of this developer’s games but this one wins. Pretty stress-free and enjoyable game play. Good return in harvesting items with the exceptional empty-handed plays. Easy to use those harvests for putting together a collection but a bit harder on combining them. Game play doesn’t make you jump around opening up many pictures only to explore them for a single item.
Only complaint is in adding friends. Unless, I haven’t discovered a way to visit friends. I’ve written feedback to the developers...otherwise it would be a five-star rating.

I thank you for listening to our concerns and fun times on your games. I’m asking a question and understand if this is not feasible. I have Macular Degeneration in both eyes. It actually has progressed rapidly. It is the dry type so no treatment is available.
This and other diseases that attack our eyes aren’t fatal, but do change our lives in drastic ways. While this is minor compared to watching our children and grandchildren grow up, it hurts to see a blur or dark spot in the middle of where he/she is.
I’m wondering if accommodations can be made for those with visual issues. Each individual issue couldn’t possibly be addressed, however, many sight problems will be improved with proper size, focus and lighting.
Thank you in advance for anything you can possibly do to Improve the chances for many players to enjoy your game to a deeper level.
There's nothing worse than playing hidden object games with fuzzy quality images. This game has very clear beautiful pictures. So far the challenges seem reasonable. The worst part is sometimes I have to look up terms from other languages, but you can just pause the game and check Wikipedia or ask Siri. The best part about this is you can actually learn about other cultures by playing this game.

This is the third of the G5 hidden object games I’ve started. This one is quite different from Letters From Nowhere as Letters From Nowhere is from Hidden City.
The object is to go through various operas, finding various objects, with peripheral games such as the match 3 cubes type game, and go through increasingly levels of difficulty.
Update: The games seem to begin with a higher difficulty level than the other two I’ve played. I guess I’ll get over it, lol.
There is a new mini-game available to me, was not given enough instructions, for me, at least.
To open a new game, you can either spend crystals, which are not as easy to earn, or spend money you earn in the game and solve the puzzle. I like the second option.
So far so good

I just started playing this game and it seems to be easier than Twin Moons (I still cannot open the Abandoned Farm).
I love hidden object games that are a bit challenging. I understand that a game should be challenging to the point of exercising the brain, but to make it so you are truly unable to accomplish a quest is asinine - the drop rate should be improved as well.
WTBS, I am looking forward to the seasonal events here to see if I will be able to complete one.

This game is AMAZING!!! I love it so much. And for the people that don’t know what the main goal of the game is, try turning on your notifications!!! I think that it’s worth a shot for the people who are reading these reviews. I think that u should be able to send diamonds 💎 to people to. Like, if we have more then one account, and we only play in one account, but we have 50 diamonds in the one we don’t play in, you would just friend your accounts and then you would be able to send your diamonds 💎 over.

I have been playing Mystery of the Opera for more than a year. At first I was confused about pretty much everything. But I did not give up. It took me a while to figure out what to do and how to do things, but I can play for long stretches of time now.
It’s been quite some time since we got an update and I’m concerned that G5 has given up on this game. I hope l’m wrong. I hope.
I am enjoying this from the beginning. However it didn’t take me long to realize that there was real mysteries to understand to get ahead in this game. I have gotten bogged down and have only tried to get thru 2 Operas and still trying to get the puzzle to turn around within the time limit. I know how it is supposed to go, but it won’t turn any way sometimes until time is up. Very frustrating! Grandmom3 Still enjoying the game, still is challenging, & still 5 ⭐️s! The biggest frustration is that many times I have to touch a known item “many” times before it will acknowledge it has been touched so I can goon to another item. Also, every time it is touched it lowers your time. Can that be fixed?
Once more I will ask if you will STOP saying and/or writing that I am playing several of your other games besides Phantom of the Opera. Several of my friends keep asking for gifts from those games. And I feel bad when I can’t help them. Otherwise I would still give it 5 stars ⭐️
1/7 Still enjoy the game. The further I go, the more the timer gets shorter and the amount of things to find increases. That is frustrating. Seems to take more money also. If it wasn’t for my friends helping me, I would have quit way back, I wish so much to help them more, but being ahead of me, I have so few of what they need. It’s exciting when I can send things to them? They have been so wonderful helping me! 5⭐️s
