BEWARE OF UGLY CASH!!! While I can say every single one of the customer service agent responds promptly and is extremely friendly, actual action is non existent. This is supposed to be a platform that looks out for the little guys. The immigrants who need a platform to bank with and get personalized customer service. Thousands of dollars have been held of mine while a transaction is quote “reviewed”, said transaction was a wire, with completely cleared funds and no chance of returns recalls etc. I spoke to the person who sent the transaction and have physically gone into the sending bank with her, and confirmed no issue on their end. I was told a manual review would be done “immediately” ….days pass? Nothing. I could understand holding just the funds, or this taking a maximum of 24 hours… but it’s now been weeks and absolutely nothing has been done. The entirety of my account funds was held. This platform will practically hold your money hostage with no repercussions, no insight to what’s going on, no personalized communication to what the process will be, they just leave you in the dark. They will not tell me when my funds will be restored. They will not even call the sender of the transaction. I requested to close my account, I do not trust this platform anymore and have no faith in these people. THEY TOLD ME I COULDN’T. Yes you heard that right!!!….I could not close my account until the review was complete. This app will quite literally take your money, then refuse to allow you to close your account. And when that review will be completed…. Never I’m assuming based on how this has gone so far. I’ve also had other smaller issues that were never resolved despite “escalation”. I spoke with my banking manager at regions, a larger bank for some insight on this situation, NO other banking institution would handle a situation like this. Customers having access to their funds should be the most important part for a small company like this. Yet absolutely no attempt or action has been taken to do so, I’ve filed over 30 reports against Ugly Cash and their banking partner Bangor. Unless you want your funds to be randomly held for random reasons with no restoration is sight. I’d stay far and clear from this app. Please look into other options. These people do not know what they’re doing and should not be responsible for anyone’s funds. I will be spreading this as far as possibly can in hopes no ones else goes through what I’ve been through.
