Every few months at random, Direct Express locks me out of my card for about three days while they "review whether its me using my card or someone stole it." I make one transaction a month, every month, to pay my rent. When they lock me out of my account, it makes me late paying my rent which in turn costs me late fees. Then, when the new version of the Direct Express app came out, it locked me out of my account again. Also, I had to re-register all of my information, as if I was someone Direct Express doesn't even know. I am so tired of the logistics nightmare of this card, DirectExpress and my Direct Express account. Its as if this company is going out of its way to ruin my life and make my rent late at least a couple of times a year. If there is any way you can avoid this company, this card and DirectExpress, I highly recommend going in a different direction. You will eventually be locked out of your account without warning, right when you really need the card. Let me tell you from experience, your rent will be late, or you will be stuck somewhere because of the company policies of this card. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Direct Express is the very definition of bad customer service. Good luck understanding the extremely broken English of customer service representative Habilimesh Kahlmadabad (who will say his name is David when its really not) in southern India. This card, app and company is a financial nightmare. You have been warned.
