Not Functional

I installed this application with the hopes that I would be able to send files from my PC to my iPad. However, no matter the setup or settings the files do not send. Initially I heard a ping sound after sending the items from my PC to iPad, but I was unable to see the file sent. It was not located in “My Files” nor was there a “KDE Connect” folder present. I literally wasted hours trying to troubleshoot this application but its of no use. I’ll keep searching for a reliable application.

Undiscoverable

My phone and desktop can’t discover each other using KDE Connect… I feel like this could be so good if I could use it!!

Can we get a widget for the app

Think KDEConnect could really benefit from a good home screen widget. Shows share files and battery life of a connected device.

This could be Awsome

I’m super exited to see a Linux connect app available for iPhone! It’s quite well designed and I can’t wait to see some more features. I’d especially like to get notifications from my phone on my computer. Keep up the good work

Really good app

It’s so nice to use kde desktop and kde connect, It makes my life so much easier! Though it seems either kde connect sms takes a while or doesn’t work. Still though, great app, use it on manjaro Linux and having a good time :D

Good, but needs more work

Suits almost all of my needs, still needs a lot of work thought. The dev team seems to be making good progress.

Lots of potential

For an open-source app, I am impressed with how good it is. Sending files and photos/videos from my phone to my laptop works seamlessly. And so does using the remote input.

A couple things don’t work though:
- I can’t receive files from my computer. I use the Gnome extension to send a jpeg to my phone and the KDE Connect iOS app just vibrates, no photo in my camera roll or iCloud Drive.
- The “ping” feature only works if KDEConnect is open. Looks like KDEConnect needs to integrate with Apple’s notification framework to deliver these notifications while KDEConnect is in the background.

Fantastic app but can you add uploading of folders?

I would like to transfer quite a lot of files using this, and it would be much easier if I was able to select folders rather than having to select multiple individual files

Great app, but suffering unfortunate regression.

I really fell in love with KDEConnect during the TestFlight betas, but now it is much less useful. It used to work over a wireguard connection, so I could sent files to my desktop, even when I was out and about. Now it will not connect through my wireguard connection, and can only reach my desktop when WiFi is active and they are on the same physical network.

Incredible Start!

Keep up the good work, Devs!

Thanks for all your hard work on this already!

Love the progress you’ve already made, and I look forward to continuing to see more.

Works perfectly.

It really just works. Have KDE installed, pair your phone with the KDE Connect program on your PC, and it just works.

KDE really made the best DE

KDE connect on iOS is much better than expected. I main plasma on gentoo, and KDE connect really helps me with stuff. Props to the KDE team for making such a good DE 🙌🙌🙌

Just works

Easy to configure and I can now send information back and forth from my phone to my Linux computer

You can change the app icon

Enough said.

Awesome.

I left during the old KDE 3.x days because I reluctantly switched to Mac for work, and I’ve just returned and MAN KDE IS KILLING IT!

Obviously thanks to the great work by all the developers such as these guys on the KDE Connect team.

Great work, fellas.

Instant remote control for any device!

I installed this purely to avoid using the on screen keyboard of my steam deck, it works flawlessly. No need for a wireless m+kb when docked to my tv either, I can use my phone and it just works

Good Application

软件很好用,功能齐全,连接到电脑很方便,用Krita画画也不用买数位板了。感谢KDE!

Works great for PC transfers.

Apple must have recently changed something iOS, because it used to be easy to just plug your phone in, navigate to the file folder, and move the pictures and videos to your pc. Now, you can only do one picture at a time (videos still work fine for some reason), it’s a downscaled version of it, and it won’t move half the time, only copy. KDE Connect works perfectly to solve that problem. It’s not quite as fast as the direct transferring used to be, but since that’s no longer an option, this gets the job done well.

Great app with one request

Could an option be added to prevent the phone from sleeping while KDEConnect is open?

Great app, thank you!

Freakin’ awesome!

KDEConnect is quite easy to use! It is full of useful features! Now I can easily send a website or any other text— or regular file or an image or a video —between my iPhone and Windows computer at work and my Windows computer at home and my wife’s Android phone, etc.

(It is amazing to me that Apple, nor Microsoft nor any other closed-source group has figured out how to do what these folks have done.)

Wonderful job!

Hello World! Stay konnected :P

This project has been in development for a long time, beta tested for about half a year, and a decently working initial release is finally out on KDEConnect Store!

No software is ever perfect, but being an open source project that everyone (yes, including you) can contribute to, I believe the amazing KDE community can continuously improve KDEConnect and make it the best thing since sliced bread.

5 stars

KDEConnect fulfills AirDrop for cross-platform devices!

Perfect for KDE users who want the convenience of AirDrop

Setup was a snap.

This could be the final nail in the Microsoft coffin for me!

I’ve been waiting so long for iOS support on KDE Connect and it is finally here! Now I can sync my phone to my gaming desktop and not have to rely on Apple or Microsoft to make it happen! Keep up the great work guys/gals!

It just works

Amazing job done by the KDE devs, Keep up the good work!

Works Perfectly

Does exactly what I need it to do. Another great product from KDE.

Fantastic project

however, I hope that the windows app could be as nice-looking as ios app lol

Excellent

Works very very well. Can’t wait for sms to be supported, as well as running in the background, to make this complete.

Best airdrop alternative for windows and linux users

KDEConnect is fast and user friendly, its realy easy to connect to a desktop on the same netwrok and has some cool features and features to be released.

Easy to use, simple clean design, and so useful!

The setup literally takes seconds and everything works great. Definitely a must have app for any kde user. KDEConnect really comes in handy, I wish I had installed this sooner!

The next step in productivity

KDE Connect has allowed me to practically airdrop stuff not only to my Linux devices but also my Mac and other apple devices synchronizing my work flow. There is so much more to KDEConnect that can only be understood through experience. Even if you don't use Linux I still highly recommend KDE Connect for apple too.

AWESOME

Finally, Airdrop on my PC. Over the last few years I have been in agony, being forced to send all of my links and files through email when I want to send things to my phone. KDE Connect has given me such a wonderful experience with more features than I even thought were possible. TERMINAL CONTROL?? CURSOR CONTROL?? Oh my goodness. KDEConnect is truly beautiful.

Prevent Auto Lock When Transferring Files

It doesn’t prevent the auto lock mechanism of the phone and the transfer process pauses when moving to another app or getting out of KDEConnect . (Not quitting KDEConnect . Just moving it to the background)

These two are major things that i had a problem with. Other than that, it’s an amazing app

A fantastic effort!

No, it’s not the same deep integration as you can get with an Android device, but being able to send files and photos, as well as my clipboard from my phone to my Linux laptop is just outstanding.

Mind blowing

I used to use KDE and had to move to dual boot with Windows and I have an iPhone, gosh that’s a combo. I’m glad I found KDEConnect that makes it incredibly easy to drop files and even more: control my device mouse clicks, keyboard etc. And most importantly it’s being worked on with updates. Lots of apps are abandoned not this one. Thanks devs.
