Completely Unusable

After I installed the application, it functioned just long enough for me to enter all of my subscription data. And then it crashed. When I reopened, it crashed again. Lather-rinse-repeat a few times, until finally the application opened... only to hang, with a pinwheel-of-death, requiring me to force-quit.

Literally the only way I could return Subscriptions to functioning is to uninstall it, restart my Mac, and then reinstall it. And then it worked for a day, before starting the crash-and-hang pattern again.

Subscriptions is absolute trash. Do not waste your time.

Crashes after first start - not compatible

Installed Subscriptions in the light of all the acclaimed good features. While trying to add my first Subscription Subscriptions froze and had to be forcefully closed. Every relaunch since led to a frozen App right away. Maybe the is an issue with the latest macOS version since Subscriptions 'sa recent update is a while ago?

Hope Developer can quickly fix this to let me revise my rating

Don’t get this app!

I installed this application and paid $5.99 for the lifetime subscription without reading the reviews. That was a mistake. I have the same disfunction issues Achaerone wrote about two years ago: "application crashes, and when restarting it hangs requiring a force-quit." The same problem was reported last March by Chris@review. Based on these experiences and the obvious lack of developer support, it's my conclusion this is a useless app…don't get it!

Looks nice, but buggy

Analytics are off when you have stuff that doesn't auto-renew. Also, iCloud Sync does not seem to work for me on multiple devices. I like the simplicity of Subscriptions and will continue to update as these things get fixed.

“Payment Accounts” Setting is very misleading and caused me to waste $6 on a Lifetime Payment.

I got Subscriptions from a recommendation from Reddit and with the majority of the features I’m pleased. However, “linking” a payment account is locked behind a paywall and nowhere does it explain what it actually means. I assumed it meant you could link your bank account to Subscriptions and it would automatically transfer current this app from things like Apple Pay and whatnot, but instead of adding a routing number you are supposed to add a URL. In what world does a bank or payment account allow you to just copy + paste a URL to your account? Makes literally zero sense and does not work, now I just threw $6 at an app for no good reason.

Quite Good - Would love one more feature

Good stuff - pleasant to use, generally intuitive, the analytics provide all the good month and year breakdowns by category and date.

One more thing I would like is to be able to see a month's cost including all yearlies (broken down into monthly chunks). Right now Subscriptions shows what you will literally have to spend - I.e. If you've already paid a yearly, it won't show in a month report until it is due again at which point it will show a whole year's payment. This makes sense and shows you what you will have to spend in the future which is useful, but I'd also love to see generally what I'm paying per month for ALL the non-archived subs.

Just a Few More Enhancements

Needs the ability to sort "tags and categories" automatically. Also needs the ability to sort by "monthly and yearly" due dates.

Disable Notification for lifetime subscription

Why the lifetime subscription has the same notification logic with the ones with monthly/yearly cycle?

Could we just disable that by default just for those lieftime subscription items?

Decent app, could be better

I like Subscriptions so far, but it seems to focus on a slightly different use case than mine.

I don’t really care about due dates, categories, start dates, renewals, or reminders. Instead, I would like Subscriptions to show me the *prorated” cost of each subscription. Convert them to the same currency and same length of time. This is extremely important information to help me understand the true cost of each item and determine if it’s worth it.

Don’t make category a required field. I don’t need it. It’s just an annoying step that I can’t skip and a waste of time while entering every single subscription. Please make it optional.

Oh, and thank you for making both iOS and macOS versions! Entering data on the Mac is so much easier.

By Far the Best

After trying all the top rated apps in the Store, this app stood out as the best by far in terms of design features and very affordable price. The way it automatically searches Subscriptions Store to find the correct app icon is really slick. I just need a more robust pause feature to rate it 5 stars. You can turn off auto renew, but there’s no way to set the pause for a specific period and pause status it’s not clearly indicated.

Great app!

Love Subscriptions for tracking this app! Wish they had a few more already on the list of ones created but it’s definitely helpful and worth downloading!

Love it!

Simple, clean beautiful UI, many options to add for each subscription! Yes! Download it without hesitation! For the Dve, if you can add logos for more kinds of this app like car insurance companies, car brands, social media, radio apps, and gaming.

The Little App You Don't Know You Need!

I stumbled across Subscriptions and am so glad I did. It's simple and does just one thing, unlike those overly complicated finance apps. I had a question and emailed to the developer. He responded very quickly with an answer.

This one is the best

I looked at 7 or 8 different apps for tracking this app and I think this one really is the best. Easy too use and very customizable.

Wonderfully simple

Love the simplicity and ease of use. I just wish there was a field to mark which account or card is paying for each subscription so it's easy to update cards when they expire. Don't fill it up with a bunch of junk and extra features that aren't need, just maybe one additional field.

Perfect

Subscriptions does exactly what it should and does it well. No “AI” trying to guess at things and doing a horrible job. Great price, uncluttered interface. The analytics are also really nice to have.

Exactly what I was looking for

So far this is pretty amazing. I needed an easy way to manage subscription and have website handy for cancellation.

Great and simple

Thank you to the Dev for making this, great and simple app to track your this app. There are a couple of things I’d add, but that’s just my personal preference:
- Ability to change the default reminder period (now it’s always 1 day in advance)
- Search/type Emoji, when creating a Custom Subscription, would make it easier to assign the desired Emoji for it

Thanks again, great job 👏

Very Helpful App‼️

Excellent App and very useful for anyone who has need of tracking LOTS of this app!

I gave this a five🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Star-rating because of its GREAT features, stability, and its price!!! …Moreover, a ‘LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION’ is less than $7BUCK$‼️

Very nice app to track routine expenses

Subscriptions helps me to track expenses at a monthly basis, but it's better if you can add some china-based public cloud platforms (e.g. alibabacloud, tencent cloud) comparing to those already exist (aws, azure).
