I’ll fully admit I ain’t perfect and this could be user error and me failing to understand the app, but I find it completely useless and I’m very disappointed that I spent 30-odd doll hairs on something that is basically a daily reminder. I love the idea of having rest days in your health maintenance routine, but this ain’t it.
Go Gentler doesn’t measure my activity the same way my watch does and it’s frustrating. It only counts what i log as a workout or do on Meta. For example, on a trip to NYC I walked over 25K steps four days in a row, like LONG outdoor walls that I don’t count as a workout, but IT’S STILL EXERCISE. Then here comes this app like, “You seem rested! Time to step up your game.” …Really? 25K steps and yall acting like I didn’t exercise? Go sit down somewhere.
Also, I hate the notifications that tell me I burned a banana and an orange or some jawn. It feels super condescending. Just gimme a number.

Issue has only gotten worse. The app is not very smart. I walk 3-4 times a week for 90 min and it keeps showing that I'm "over-reaching". My heart rate is normal, yet the app has not learned this routine. I have contacted support several times over the last few months, but no update has directly addressed this. Please fix.
Update: There is something wrong with the app. The last few days I have only walked for 30 min and it says I am "over reaching". I usually work out for 90 min and have no problems. Very interesting app. Really like the way it tracks and shows your health information 👍🏻 The reason for the three stars are the widgets. Not only do I find them a bit basic and lacking variety, but they don't update in the background. You have to click on the widget itself or open the app so the widget displays your current progress.
