App does not work well and won’t send pictures to my phone. Horrible design.
Today my app stopped working. 4G camera still working, and showing it has service but I cannot connect to it with my phone. Keeps giving me a network connection error when I try to login.
Don’t do it! They are a pain to get set up. Then they pick and choose when to capture pics. And then if that isn’t bad enough it takes pics but won’t send them to you. Defeats the purpose of paying for the service.
Followed all the instructions, my phone won’t connect to the trail camera. Useless
After updating to iOS 18 this one stopped working. Was always a battery hog, so I will use fewer batteries now.
Worthless
Meidase worked great for the first few months then it just stopped sending notifications. The camera is still taking photos and videos, but I don’t get a notification when new ones are taken. I have to log in to see them. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole set up.
I was able to get a refund for the camera itself, but I cannot get a refund for the service that is now practically useless. And I of course paid for a year in advance. When the subs option ends, I won’t renew and will go with a different set up with a more reliable app.
App is so buggy on latest iOS that it makes the unit almost unusable with Wi-Fi. Very disappointing.
Everytime I try to synchronize the time Meidase crashes. So now I have to leave the camera on 24/7 which eats the battery
Meidase *requires* location permission to work. It also requires *full* access to your photos library to save recorded pictures and clips.
“Limited” photos permissions is enough for most apps and there is no reason Meidase needs full access.
Same thing for location access. This camera is meant to be deployed in the middle of nowhere.
I am suspicious that the privacy policy doesn’t match what they are actually doing with your data.
When you are connected to the P200 trail cam, it generally works ok for settings with no issue. The issues come when you try to access your videos and pictures. Viewing older pictures is very cumbersome and most times does not load for viewing quickly if at all. Meidase crashes frequently after scrolling through a 100-150 pictures or so. It also crashes if after you delete a large number of pictures. For example the same pictures you just scrolled through mentioned above. Then you have to go through the process of reconnecting and the same clunky process of searching, viewing and or deleting. If they can fix Meidase , this makes purchasing this trail cam a pretty good setup because the pictures and video are quite good for the price.
I wish it would notify me of picture transfer! Great pictures but annoying that I have to go looking for them. Not real time
Won’t push notifications to my phone .
You have to go in and manually load your pics to yours phone
Can’t change settings of my camera because every time I do, Meidase closes out and crashes. Will alter my rating if this is resolved.
Just bought a camera and everything is great except the VERY important notification of new photos/videos!!!
REALLY NEED to know when something is by the camera. 😭
The camera itself works well the pictures it takes are a bit blurry for the price of purchase and quality. Shouldn't have to pay different subscriptions for regular pictures and HD photos. I'm also not getting any notifications to my phone when a picture is taken I have to open Meidase to check if I received a photo. Might be better off getting a cheaper camera with good quality photos even if I have to plug into the computer
Easy APP to navigate
Initially, I struggled with my cameras only to learn that the weakness was in the cellular connection and NOT my cameras! Once I tuned things in, I have been very pleased.
The instruction manual is straightforward. No problem connecting to the camera and setting the desired parameters on my ancient iPhone 6!
Great App and trail camera. It’s great to walk within 45 feet and connect to view and download desired media. The P100 takes high res media and works great day or night. I am very happy with Meidase by not having to constantly open the camera. Great job!
Meidase Mobile is very safe to use.
