Waste of time. Sometimes you can drag and drop elements, other times they won’t move, and only spin. So you will end up with a door, or a tv in the middle of a room, but not be able to reliably get them to move where ya need them. If you get frustrated when things don’t work consistently, or properly, or actually need to make some plans, give this one a pass.

I was fairly pleased with 4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner (needs more design options) until I had a nightmare of an experience trying to carry my premium subscription over to my other devices. Support was no help and I got nowhere. I’m obviously not going to pay for multiple subscriptions to one app just to be able to use it when and where I please, so I ended up deleting it and going with a different- much more user friendly - floor planner.

Why would anyone make an app for designing a floor plan that won’t allow you to enter exact measurements for room sizes? Dragging on an iPad is far from an exact science. Who knows, maybe you can enter them somewhere but with no directions I have been unable to find them. I’d have an easier time doing a layout in Animal Crossing.

Turns out the catalog items available for the 3-day trial version is the same as what you get for the one-year subscribed version, which is sadly limited. Functionality is elementary at best! Can not snap furniture to walls. That's just the "tip of the iceburg." I have a free version of a different app that works much better.

I am looking for an app using my Mac to rearrange furniture in individual rooms. I tried the "FloorDesign2" app and some others first. My primary complaint is the single-window design of 4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner ("4Plan"). I have a laptop screen, 49" OLED ultrawide, and a 27" screen in veritcal orientation. FloorDesign2 immediately booted with multiple windows, making it easier to use, since I was able to look at the 2D and 3D images simultaneously, and had the help document open on another screen, with windows for items to drop into the design.
4Plan didn't have that option, but I still gave it a try.

Others have issues with not being able to change measurements from meters to feet, for example. I was able to go into the "Help" menu in the menu bar at the top and type "unit" to have the menu show me where the options were to change the unit of measure. I hope that helps some readers out there.

My initial issue is the inspector (the pane on the right that shows details about the thing you clicked on). It's not detailed enough. I created a room, but clicking on a wall only shows the wall height for some reason. What about the wall width? I need the ability to type in the length of the wall easily, but I did not see such an option. The inspector pane is incredibly sparse.

On the positive side, clicking a point and moving it around does automatically update the measurements, which are easy to see. But it is not enough, and I will keep looking for an adequate app.

So there is a lot of different rooms to pick from, including making your own. There is a down side, when you have not gotten the premium there is a very limited amount of items you can use. Meaning no people or pets.

For 9.99 a month I need more , things like ceiling fans , and way more decorations and color swatches please. 4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner is fairly easy to you tho I spent 9 hours making my apartment I’m getting in a few months wish there was more so I could bring it all together. I love some sting lights

After looking for many free apps I found this one although very limited however, limited stuff is pretty good. Mind you more features are useable with subscription to purchase 4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner . I only wish i had more choices of furniture, fixtures etc in the library. Most importantly I wish I could add/upload my own layout & image of a house/building and be able to add elements, designs, colours etc to them. With that I would definitely be tempted to pay for the subscription if reasonable. Thanks

4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner works really well, but only if you give them $40 a year or $10 a month. without paying, you get very little things to design with, to the point that you can't really design what you want to design. If you paid for it it would work great, but if you want to design without spending money, this is not the right app for you

4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner is really great and helpful in creating a layout for my apartment, but it kept crashing and DELETING all of my work. I couldn't get it back so I started over. I was able to do it again and this time I finished two floors and was in the middle of fixing one of the rooms and it crashed and deleted E V E R Y T H I N G. Both floors, every room, every detail I put into it. -_-

A 3rd view with framing for walls and floors with the calculated distance of wall studs and floor joists would be helpful, but otherwise like 4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner so far

There are quite a few objects missing, like stairs curling in a corner without landing in between.
There is no waterheater - heating stove available. No freezing chest.
No possibility to give a door a color, only the solid door. Doorshapes are pretty limited. Elements of doors should merge seamless, but they don't. No recliner available. Even basic table shapes are limited. 4Plan is okay, but could do better. Maybe a item catalog on line that one could import.

4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner is very easy to use. It took me a minute to figure it out but after about 20 minutes I was up and designing I do wish there was more options for like doors like sliders or stuff like that but you can make the window options.I also wish there was an option after you design your balls that you could edit them by typing in a measurement or selecting a group of measurement and altering them as well. There’s been times that I needed to shorten long wise walls and then move a group of measurements like the whole kitchen down to meet those walls after shortening the measurements and can’t really do it without redesigning the whole thing. So I need to just wear in a little bit more how to progso far it’s been amazing and they’ve done a great job keep up the good work please put out more updates

I was a nerdy child who loved to draw up floorplans on old school 90's software like 3D Home Architect. So many modern softwares/apps have a lot of superfluous geared more toward interior design - not the actual architecture/design of the plan.

4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner is great. The features are intuitive and straightforward. Thoroughly enjoy dreaming up different designs.

There's no option to change the measurment from meters to feet. I attempted to reach out for help but there's no clear instructions on how to do that. Deleting it.

Also, they wouldnt allow me to upload my review with only 1 star by saying that my nickname wasn't available. Once I changed my rating, the original nickname I chose to use was available.

I like this home design app as it’s pretty handy and straightforward. Used it to design one room that I plan to renovate

I love how intuitive 4Plan is to use. Simple controls makes it easy to create rooms and then see them come to life in 3D. I love being able to visualize my home's interior. Bonus: their developer team are super-responsive: fixed a bug for me in 1 day. I appreciate this level of support. Cheers!

4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner is very good but 95% of things are with payment , why not making it 70-30 ,and colors should be more natural. This is my opinion thanks

I sprung for the premium features before moving.
The room scanning feature is excellent, both for getting approximate layout and dimensions and for scanning your furniture.

Also nice to have 2d and 3d view. Great to answer what-if questions.

Love 4PlanHomeInteriorPlanner. I can’t put it down. The only thing that I don’t like is that the female under “people” looks like a piece of Y2K era trailer park trash. Seriously, do people even dress like that anymore? I hope not. *shudders*
