Love the idea, but it just needs tweaking.

First, let me say that I really like the idea behind HowUdish. Some of my close friendships have been built off our relationship with food and the industry overall. That being said, HowUdish is frustrating a lot of the times. Given the expectation that it is a social media app, I expect fluid transitions from one screen to another without any delays. Every time, I successfully created a new food snap, there was about a 3-5 second delay to go back to the main dashboard. Also, when creating a card (really like the idea of this being like a recipe card), I’d like to have the option to change my mind when I’m creating the card without going back to the previous screen to change it from a snap to a must-try.

I also realized that you can’t interact with anyone on HowUdish unless you purchase one of the packages. This is fine, but maybe there should be a interaction limit before introducing the package? For instance, maybe you can get up to 5 free messages before you’re cut off with the intro of the price for the package so that people have more incentive to buy.

Lastly, I think it would be really cool if you’re able to tap on the some of the restaurant locations that people place on their cards. Overall, I’d like to reiterate that I do like the idea of HowUdish and once improvements are made, I’d love to join the community and invite some friends too!

A fun & creative way to connect!

I really like the idea behind HowUdish and think that it is a creative way to connect with others over food and cooking. I am a foodie and absolutely love connecting with others over this shared interest. I do not have a lot of people in my life that I can share this passion with and think it is a brilliant idea to help others get connected over this interest. HowUdish itself takes a bit of time to load which can be frustrating but it isn’t anything that would make me stop wanting to use it. I like that the sign-up process is quick and that it asks for the users permission for things like tracking. I do think that the profile setting should have an option for those who do not identify as a male or female, this could potentially drive away some users.

The “yuummmm” feature on HowUdish is adorable and it is a cute and creative way of liking someone’s post. It would be nice if there was an option for a 7-day free trial for the paid version. I would like to be able to see what I am getting myself into before making the commitment of paying. I am unsure if this is an option or not for the paid version, but it would be cool if you could see if another member is active on HowUdish while you are using it. Overall, I think this is a fun app and could definitely see myself using it as a way to connect with others in my area.

Fun app for and recipes

I’ve been using HowUdish for a few days now and overall I’m very satisfied with what it gives you for essentially no immediate cost. I do think I’m missing out on some of the functionality because I’ve been uploading multiple cards a day with various tips and recipes and have yet to match with anyone. I can’t review parts of HowUdish that I haven’t managed to get access to, and honestly I’m not entirely sure what even happens when you match with someone. But even without that functionality I like the homegrown recipe inspiration and I like the tips. I think the user interface is fairly intuitive,It borrows enough from other apps that I understood the swipe left or swipe right function. Making cards is similarly intuitive and I like that the process isn’t overly complicated. One feature that I would like - and if it exists I did not find on my own - is a way to potentially filter out people who you know would absolutely not be matches. As a vegetarian I would love to not even have to swipe know on various images of meat dishes. They’re not dishes I’m ever going to cook and I’m much more interested in connecting with people that I start out from the same base with.

This is a great idea!

I’ve been using this app for a few days now and I’ve enjoyed it. HowUdish is easy to use and it’s a great way to connect with people who enjoy the same food as me. I also really like the food hacks because they’re interesting and helpful.

Pros Although there are still very few people on the platform, I already saw different posts that are really interesting. For a mom like me who loves to cook, flipping through the tips and hacks can give me some ideas about what to cook or make. I also like the idea of connecting with fellow foodies, so I look forward to having more people in HowUdish . HowUdish is so easy to use!

Cons: I can’t find the back or home button once I navigate out of the default page. It’s difficult to swipe a post with one hand. I’m using a wide phone and I find it hard to swipe a card with my thumb while holding the iphone in my hand. I wish the flipping was a bit more sensitive. Also, some text posts are boring. I think it needs some designs/templates ready for use in case someone just wants to post a text.

Also, I wish there was a home button that will let me see cards I’ve “yummmed” so I can revisit them anytime I want. I’m also having difficulty finding my own posts. Also, allowing very short videos, music or sound clips would be great too.

Fun app

I love the idea behind HowUdish. I love the sharing of food pictures and recipe hacks. I am certain when there are more users of HowUdish your homepage becomes more interesting because you have a variety. I wish that it wasn’t solely based on your location. I think this is a great choice when you are looking for a food based social media. I use social media a lot throughout my days. A few things I would like to see is a double tap action for the yummm selection of a card because that is the most common “I like this” across most social media platforms. I also think that the dragging of the cards takes too much. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I had to start at the top of my screen and drag it all the way to the bottom. Doing this over and over is tiresome after a while. I think there is a glitch because I was unable to change my birthday. I also strongly believe that if you are creating an inclusive platform that you should have more than just male and female as gender options. The last thing is that I think the graphics when you go to create a card are AMAZING but the icons on the bottom are a bit hard to see making it confusing to look at for selection. Definitely keeping HowUdish , looking forward to improvements!

Very cool App

this app is a really cool app for any foodie who’s trying to network or gather information from other foodies/food groups. As someone who owns their own foodstagram, I am regularly looking for ways to connect with other people passionate about food like me, and I think this is the perfect place to do that. HowUdish is simple to use. Like anything new, it takes some time to adjust to the features and figure out how it works, but I was matching with other food posts and making my own in seriously no time at all. I would love to grow a platform on here with some more time and
dedication. I have an iPhone X, so I’m not sure if it was me or HowUdish , but some of the features took some time to load. Longer than most apps. I would also like to be able to filter the kind of posts that I’m interesting in matching better! This may be a feature for a paid subscription? But, overall it’s a cool app and gives some good insight on where to eat and what people are cooking in their own homes.

Fun app and Concept!

Cool way to see food, get tips on cooking, and socialize a little with people that share the interest!
The UI is intuitive and pretty, but a little feedback; the “Yummm” feature’s animation doesn’t quite line up with the button where the animation starts and finishes. The report button’s placement and icon makes it look like all of the posts have a warning and the posts often seem a little crowded with text and information while you’re trying to look at the pictures, which is especially weird since they leave a lot of white space around the edges. The last comment might be significantly worsened because my phone (iPhone 8) is far from the newest ones with the newest resolution, which is what any newer app is being designed for.
My last little piece of feedback is that I couldn’t help but notice that there were only man or woman options when signing up, no custom or “prefer not to say” option. I am a man and have no identity otherwise, but I fear this lack of what is now a common feature could make a whole demographic of people feel excluded/dissuaded from using such a pleasant app!

Great app if you’re a foodie or love to cook

I love that with HowUdish I get to make use of all the food pics taking up my iCloud storage space! I have so much fun making food cards to share with other users. On another note, it’s a great way to connect with other food lovers near me. I like the variety of food-based content I get when I use HowUdish . Not only do I see dishes that I’m inspired to try, but also I get food tips/tricks that are super informative. I get to learn cool things that I can apply to my recipes. I appreciate the diversity of food cards and snaps. A lot of different types of cuisine are shown on the platform. My only major suggestion for improvement is that there could be more info and instructions on how some of the features work like the Yum feature, and how to get matches. With HowUdish being very new I’m sure it’ll improve and evolve. I’m excited to continue using HowUdish as it grows!

Great for foodies

Upon downloading HowUdish , I was given the rundown of what HowUdish has to offer before signing up. I appreciate when apps do this so I can know what I am getting into before actually making an account (which was very easy to do on HowUdish). One of my favorite parts is that you can make your own “food cards” and share your own personal recipes with everyone else on HowUdish . It’s basically a social media for foodies! The first food card I saw, I said “yum” and when I went to go like the food card, that’s exactly what came up, “yummmm”. Love that! It’s like you’re on a dating app for people who you know EXACTLY what they like to do—cook, eat, the whole nine. I’m looking forward to using HowUdish in the future because I’m a huge foodie and love discovering new recipes! Making a food card is so easy I definitely recommend HowUdish if you love food, and who doesn’t love food, right?

Best Concept for an App!

Honestly, I’ve made a lot of friends physically because of food, so I was excited to try this! I gave myself some time to explore and see how I could work HowUdish . I love the fact that you can look at the different foods right when you log in. It really gave me some food ideas, especially since I love cooking.

If I had to point out any issues, there are only a few. It’s hard getting to the different options. Most apps that are similar would have a navigation bar at the bottom, so that is the most critical issue. Other than that, the option to do most things is limited without the package. WHICH IS OKAY because that’s actually normal for these types of apps and that’s how most apps are funded.

I think I’ll continue using this for food and recipe ideas since it’s right up my alley!

HowUdish from a vegan perspective

this app is a great way for vegan’s and vegetarians to communicate and share different recipes, food hacks, restaurants, etc. Its a great way for any vegan/vegetarian’s to find new things to try. It’s also great for a new vegetarian or vegan is to get their foot in the door and learn about the diet. It provides creativity and inspiration for those who use it.

But before the meat eaters Mooove on 🐄, there’s something here for you to. this app provides a experience to learn new recipes and really cool food hacks and trends. It’s a great way to get in touch with the community and find amazing food locally.

this app is the new food tender for all the foodies out there. I am very grateful to live in a world where a chesse burger (with a bean burger patty of course😉) can have a social media profile. So to stay up to date on all the latest food trends download this app.

Fun Food App For All!

this app is great for all the foodies out there looking for new creations or inspiration. What’s very unique about HowUdish is it brings a socialization aspect that I have never seen before in any other food/cooking apps.

HowUdish does get a little glitchy at times. For example, I did notice when creating an account the system got quite glitchy when trying to enter in a birthdate. Additionally it got glitchy when swiping through photos. However, these are issues are easy to overcome as the overall interface is easy to maneuver and all actions are easily accessible.

I also thought it was a nice add to have cooking tips and hacks mixed in. As someone in the nutrition field I thoroughly enjoy HowUdish and will be sharing it with this community!

Great app for Foodies!

The this app app is a great app
For foodies! I love the swipe feature as you can quickly go through several food snaps and find ideas for dishes to make as well as ideas for places to eat based on the photos. You can select the distance so you can only see snaps that are within a set number of miles from you. I like that you can forward a card to a friends phone or email. The kitchen tricks are really neat as well. The food snaps are great for when you’re not sure what to make for dinner and generates so many great ideas! The only suggestion I can think of is at some point, it would be nice if a food snap could include a more info button to link to the recipe. I look forward to using HowUdish often!

Very cool and fun app to use!

HowUdish is amazing with great features. It allows you to meet people who also love to try different food. There are plenty of food that looks unfamiliar that anyone would love to try to make because of its easy recipes. Various different food cards are available that seem very interesting! It also allows you to capture food snaps and upload them so that other people can see it. There are many recipe tips and tricks that are very useful. It would make your life much easier when you are cooking for yourself, family or friends. I would highly recommend anyone to download HowUdish especially if you are a huge food lover and
willing to meet new people and make friends!

Simple and unique food sharing app

this app is very cool app. It allows you to scroll, connect with other foodies, and possibly connect with someone that has similar interests as you. There is also awesome kitchen hacks, cooking tips, and food hacks available. I think HowUdish is pretty unique in and not complicated. I know there’s other sites and apps that allow you to do similar activity but HowUdish is unique because of its simplicity. You simply can share a family recipe, a coffee spot or restaurant that you recently tried. On the main screen there will be dishes, hacks, tips, and tricks called food cards. You can swipe right or left to either approve a dish or disapprove the dish, respectfully. You can create your own card to share with nearby foodies.

Fun and easy to use

I really love the idea behind HowUdish. I love trying new foods from all over, and HowUdish makes it easy to do just that without having to travel anywhere. HowUdish is easy to use, based on the very familiar swipe left/swipe right concept from other apps. I really like having a whole community full of recipes, tips, and tricks/“hacks” at my fingertips and being able to connect and bond with people over foods. It’s also easy to create your own cards to share with others. So far, I’ve not had a single bad experience or issue while using HowUdish so I have no complaints at all. Definitely recommend downloading HowUdish if you love food, fun, and community!

Great Concept

I think HowUdish has a lot of potential! As a foodie, I think this is a really great idea to meet people who also like to be adventurous with their palate. I think it was relatively easy to understand, with a similar concept to a dating app to swipe right or left. I like the simplicity of that! However, I was on HowUdish for a couple days and posted a handful of cards but never received any matches. I’m assuming this is due to the small number of people on HowUdish so far. Therefore, it’s hard for me to judge HowUdish when I can’t access one of the largest features yet. I think HowUdish has a lot of potential though and I am excited to keep using it and see how it grows!

Amazing concept and cool app!!!

I love the thoughts and ideas put behind HowUdish. I find it really cool that you can create posts/cards about different meals or dishes you have made or weird combos you have created. For me as someone who is interested in learning more about cooking and discovering more dishes to create, I think HowUdish would be perfect to improve my techniques and find new recipes to make. I find it interesting how HowUdish is a platform that is like a mix of Pinterest and Tinder. You can swipe right on other foodies and make cooking friends! I would highly recommend HowUdish to anybody looking for new meals to cook! I have had such a great experience with HowUdish!

Amazing food experience

Omg, what a nice surprise with HowUdish. First, the design of HowUdish is super easy and fun, I feel I’m on Tinder for food, you just swipe to the right the card you liked and to the left the card you didn’t like, but if you are hungry be careful because HowUdish has so many Yummy pics of food getting to you all the time. HowUdish is a great way to connect with people who love the same food as you, also to check new “must try”, “food hacks”, “kitchen tricks”, and to share with people your ideas. What I mostly loved about HowUdish is because I can connect with more vegetarian and vegan people around the world and try to make our lives easier.

Must have for foodies!

I love love love the idea of HowUdish. I usually take to Pinterest for recipes and hacks but being able to get them from someone who I could build a friendship with is the best! The first thing I noticed was the quick and easy profile setup. Creating cards is super easy they have a template for you and you just fill it in. The only downside is having to pay for a membership to interact with people. It’s $13-17 depending on the plan. There is a 3 day free trial period at the beginning of both plan options. If you’re a foodie and want some foodie friends this is HowUdish for you.
